2Реаия, сын Шовала, родил Иахафа; Иахаф родил Ахума и Лагада: от них племена Цорян.

3И сии сыновья Етама: Изреель, Ишма и Идбаш, и сестра их, по имени Гацлелпони,

4Пенуел, отец Гедора, и Езер, отец Хуша. Вот сыновья Хура, первенца Ефрафы, отца Вифлеема.

5У Ахшура, отца Фекои, были две жены: Хела и Наара.

6И родила ему Наара Ахузама, Хефера, Фимни и Ахашфари; это сыновья Наары.

7Сыновья Хелы: Цереф, Цохар и Ефнан.

8Коц родил: Анува и Цовева и племена Ахархела, сына Гарумова.

9Иавис был знаменитее своих братьев. Мать дала ему имя Иавис, сказав: я родила его с болезнью.

10И воззвал Иавис к Богу Израилеву и сказал: о, если бы Ты благословил меня Твоим благословением, распространил пределы мои, и рука Твоя была со мною, охраняя меня от зла, чтобы я не горевал!... И Бог ниспослал ему, чего он просил.

13Сыновья Кеназа: Гофониил и Сераия. Сын Гофониила: Хафаф.

14Меонофай родил Офру, а Сераия родил Иоава, родоначальника долины плотников, потому что они были плотники.

15Сыновья Халева, сына Иефонниина: Ир, Ила и Наам. Сын Илы: Кеназ.

16Сыновья Иегаллелела: Зиф, Зифа, Фирия и Асареел.

17Сыновья Езры: Иефер, Меред, Ефер и Иалон; Иефер же родил Мерома, Шаммая и Ишбаха, отца Ешфемои.

18И жена его Иудия родила Иереда, отца Гедора, и Хевера, отца Сохо, и Иекуфиила, отца Занаоха. Это сыновья Бифьи, дочери фараоновой, которую взял Меред.

19Сыновья жены его Годии, сестры Нахама, отца Кеилы: Гарми и Ешфемоа - Маахатянин.

20Сыновья Симеона: Амнон, Ринна, Бенханан и Филон. Сыновья Ишия: Зохеф и Бензохеф.

21Сыновья Силома, сына Иудина: Ир, отец Лехи, и Лаеда, отец Мареши, и семейства выделывавших виссон, из дома Ашбеи,

22и Иоким, и жители Хозевы, и Иоаш и Сараф, которые имели владение в Моаве, и Иашувилехем; но это события древние.

23Они были горшечники, и жили при садах и в огородах; у царя для работ его жили они там.

24Сыновья Симеона: Немуил, Иамин, Иарив, Зерах и Саул.

25Шаллум сын его; его сын Мивсам; его сын Мишма.

26Сыновья Мишмы: Хаммуил, сын его; его сын Закур; его сын Шимей.

27У Шимея было шестнадцать сыновей и шесть дочерей; у братьев же его сыновей было немного, и все племя их не так было многочисленно, как племя сынов Иуды.

28Они жили в Вирсавии, Моладе, Хацаршуале,

29в Билге, в Ецеме, в Фоладе,

30в Вефуиле, в Хорме, в Циклаге,

31в Беф-Маркавофе, в Хацарсусиме, в Беф-Биреи и в Шаариме. Вот города их до царствования Давидова,

32с селами их: Етам, Аин, Риммон, Фокен и Ашан, - пять городов.

33И все селения их, которые находились вокруг сих городов до Ваала; вот места жительства их и родословия их.

34Мешовав, Иамлех и Иосия, сын Амассии,

35Иоил и Иегу, сын Иошиви, сына Сераии, сына Асиилова,

36Елиоенай, Иакова, Ишохаия, Асаия, Адиил, Ишимиил и Ванея,

37и Зиза, сын Шифия, сын Аллона, сын Иедаии, сын Шимрия, сын Шемаии.

38Сии поименованные были князьями племен своих, и дом отцов их разделился на многие отрасли.

39Они доходили до Герары и до восточной стороны долины, чтобы найти пастбища для стад своих;

40и нашли пастбища тучные и хорошие и землю обширную, спокойную и безопасную, потому что до них жило там только немного Хамитян.

41И пришли сии, по именам записанные, во дни Езекии, царя Иудейского, и перебили кочующих и оседлых, которые там находились, и истребили их навсегда и поселились на месте их, ибо там были пастбища для стад их.

42Из них же, из сынов Симеоновых, пошли к горе Сеир пятьсот человек: Фелатия, Неария, Рефаия и Узиил, сыновья Ишия, были во главе их;

43и побили уцелевший там остаток Амаликитян, и живут там до сего дня.

11And Caleb the brother of Sua beget Mahir, who was the father of Esthon.

12And Esthon beget Bethrapha, and Phesse, and Tehinna father of the city of Naas: these are the men of Recha.

13And the sons of Cenez were Othoniel, and Saraia. And the sons of Othoniel, Hathath, and Maonathi.

14Maonathi beget Ophra, and Saraia begot Joab the father of the Valley of artificers: for artificers were there.

15And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephone, were Hir, and Ela, and Naham. And the sons of Ela: Cenez.

16The sons also of Jaleleel: Ziph, and Zipha, Thiria, and Asrael.

17And the sons of Esra, Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon, and he beget Mariam, and Sammai, and Jesba the father of Esthamo.

28And they dwelt in Bersabee, and Molada, and Hasarsuhal,

29And in Bala, and in Asom, and in Tholad,

30And in Bathuel, and in Horma, and in Siceleg,

31And in Bethmarchaboth, and in Hasarsusim, and in Bethberai, and in Saarim. These were their cities unto the reign of David.

32Their towns also were Etam, and Aen, Remmon, and Thochen, and Asan, five cities.

33And all their villages round about these cities as far as Baal. This was their habitation, and the distribution of their dwellings.

34And Mosabab and Jemlech, and Josa, the son of Amasias,

35And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josabia the son of Saraia, the son of Asiel,

36And Elioenai, and Jacoba, and Isuhaia, and Asaia, and Adiel, and Ismiel, and Banaia,

37Ziza also the son of Sephei the son of Allon the son of Idaia the son of Semri the son of Samaia.

38These were named princes in their kindreds, and in the houses of their families were multiplied exceedingly.

39And they went forth to enter into Gador as far as to the east side of the valley, to seek pastures for their flocks.

40And they found fat pastures, and very good, and a country spacious, and quiet, and fruitful, in which some of the race of Cham had dwelt before.

41And these whose names are written above, came in the days of Ezechias king of Juda: and they beat down their tents, and slew the inhabitants that were found there, and utterly destroyed them unto this day: and they dwelt in their place, because they found there fat pastures.

42Some also of the children of Simeon, five hundred men, went into mount Seir, having for their captains Phaltias and Naaria and Raphaia and Oziel the sons of Jesi:

43And they slew the remnant of the Amalecites, who had been able to escape, and they dwelt there in their stead unto this day.
