Numbers

1And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

2Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

3And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.

4And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.

5And those that do pitch next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and Nethaneel the son of Zuar shall be captain of the children of Issachar.

6And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

7Then the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab the son of Helon shall be captain of the children of Zebulun.

8And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.

9All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were an hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set forth.

10¶ On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their armies: and the captain of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.

11And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

12And those which pitch by him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the captain of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

13And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

14Then the tribe of Gad: and the captain of the sons of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.

15And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty.

16All that were numbered in the camp of Reuben were an hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, throughout their armies. And they shall set forth in the second rank.

17¶ Then the tabernacle of the congregation shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards.

18¶ On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: and the captain of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.

19And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty thousand and five hundred.

20And by him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the captain of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

21And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

22Then the tribe of Benjamin: and the captain of the sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni.

23And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

24All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were an hundred thousand and eight thousand and an hundred, throughout their armies. And they shall go forward in the third rank.

25¶ The standard of the camp of Dan shall be on the north side by their armies: and the captain of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

26And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.

27And those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the captain of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran.

28And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

29¶ Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.

30And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

31All they that were numbered in the camp of Dan were an hundred thousand and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred. They shall go hindmost with their standards.

32¶ These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

33But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.

34And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

1ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê và ông A-ha-ron rằng :

2“Con cái Ít-ra-en sẽ đóng trại, mỗi người theo cờ hiệu và huy hiệu của gia tộc mình. Chúng sẽ đóng trại ở vòng ngoài, hướng về Lều Hội Ngộ.

3Đóng ở phía đông, hướng mặt trời mọc, là cờ hiệu doanh trại Giu-đa theo đoàn quân của chúng. Đứng đầu con cháu Giu-đa là Nác-sôn, con Am-mi-na-đáp.

4Đoàn quân của chúng, những người đã được kiểm tra, là 74.600.

5Đóng trại bên cạnh chúng là chi tộc Ít-xa-kha. Đứng đầu con cháu Ít-xa-kha là Nơ-than-ên, con Xu-a.

6Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 54.400.

7Tiếp theo là chi tộc Dơ-vu-lun, đứng đầu là Ê-li-áp, con Khe-lôn.

8Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 57.400.

9Tổng số những người được kiểm tra thuộc doanh trại Giu-đa là 186.400. Những người này sẽ đi tuyến đầu.

10Phía nam là cờ hiệu doanh trại Rưu-vên theo đoàn quân của chúng. Đứng đầu là Ê-li-xua, con Sơ-đê-ua.

11Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 46.500.

12Đóng trại bên cạnh chúng là chi tộc Si-mê-ôn. Đứng đầu con cháu Si-mê-ôn là Sơ-lu-mi-ên, con Xu-ri-sát-đai.

13Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 59.300.

14Kế đến là chi tộc Gát. Đứng đầu con cháu Gát là En-gia-xáp, con Rơ-u-ên.

15Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 45.650.

16Tổng số những người được kiểm tra thuộc doanh trại Rưu-vên là 151.450 theo đoàn quân của chúng. Những người này sẽ đi tuyến hai.

17Tiếp đó Lều Hội Ngộ sẽ lên đường, cùng với doanh trại Lê-vi, đi giữa các doanh trại khác. Đóng trại theo thứ tự nào thì lên đường cũng theo thứ tự ấy, mỗi người cứ giữ vị trí của mình, tuỳ theo cờ hiệu của mình.

18Cờ hiệu doanh trại Ép-ra-im theo đoàn quân của chúng sẽ nằm ở phía tây. Đứng đầu con cháu Ép-ra-im là Ê-li-sa-ma, con Am-mi-hút.

19Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 40.500.

20Bên cạnh chúng là chi tộc Mơ-na-se. Đứng đầu con cháu Mơ-na-se là Gam-li-ên, con Pơ-đa-xua.

21Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 32.200.

22Rồi đến chi tộc Ben-gia-min. Đứng đầu con cháu Ben-gia-min là A-vi-đan, con Ghít-ô-ni.

23Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 35.400.

24Tổng số những người được kiểm tra thuộc doanh trại Ép-ra-im, là 108.100, tính theo đoàn quân của chúng. Chúng sẽ đi tuyến ba.

25Cờ hiệu doanh trại Đan theo đoàn quân của chúng sẽ nằm ở phía bắc. Đứng đầu con cháu Đan là A-khi-e-de, con Am-mi-sát-đai.

26Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 62.700.

27Đóng trại bên cạnh chúng là chi tộc A-se. Đứng đầu con cháu A-se là Pác-i-ên, con Ốc-ran.

28Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 41.500.

29Kế đến là chi tộc Náp-ta-li. Đứng đầu con cháu Náp-ta-li là A-khi-ra, con Ê-nan.

30Đoàn quân của chúng, những người được kiểm tra, là 53.400.

31Tổng số những người được kiểm tra thuộc doanh trại Đan là 157.600. Chúng sẽ đi tuyến cuối cùng, theo cờ hiệu của mình.”

32Đó là con cái Ít-ra-en được kiểm tra theo gia tộc của họ. Tổng số những người được kiểm tra, thuộc các doanh trại, theo đoàn quân của họ, là 603.550.

33Riêng các thầy Lê-vi, thì không phải kiểm tra cùng với con cái Ít-ra-en, như ĐỨC CHÚA đã truyền cho ông Mô-sê.

34Con cái Ít-ra-en đã thi hành tất cả mọi điều y như ĐỨC CHÚA truyền cho ông Mô-sê. Họ đóng trại theo cờ hiệu, và họ lên đường, mỗi người theo thị tộc và gia tộc của mình.
