For the Chief Musician. By David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said,

1I love you, LORD, my strength.

2The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer;my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

3I call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised;and I am saved from my enemies.

4The cords of death surrounded me.The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

5The cords of Sheolwere around me.The snares of death came on me.

6In my distress I called on the LORD,and cried to my God.He heard my voice out of his temple.My cry before him came into his ears.

7Then the earth shook and trembled.The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.

8Smoke went out of his nostrils.Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.

9He bowed the heavens also, and came down.Thick darkness was under his feet.

10He rode on a cherub, and flew.Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.

11He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion around him,darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

12At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed,hailstones and coals of fire.

13The LORD also thundered in the sky.The Most High uttered his voice: hailstones and coals of fire.

14He sent out his arrows, and scattered them.He routed them with great lightning bolts.

15Then the channels of waters appeared.The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

16He sent from on high.He took me. He drew me out of many waters.

17He delivered me from my strong enemy,from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

18They came on me in the day of my calamity,but the LORD was my support.

19He brought me out also into a large place.He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

20The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness.According to the cleanness of my hands, he has recompensed me.

21For I have kept the ways of the LORD,and have not wickedly departed from my God.

22For all his ordinances were before me.I didn’t put away his statutes from me.

23I was also blameless with him.I kept myself from my iniquity.

24Therefore the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness,according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

25With the merciful you will show yourself merciful.With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.

26With the pure, you will show yourself pure.With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.

27For you will save the afflicted people,but the arrogant eyes you will bring down.

28For you will light my lamp, LORD.My God will light up my darkness.

29For by you, I advance through a troop.By my God, I leap over a wall.

30As for God, his way is perfect.The LORD’s word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.

31For who is God, except the LORD?Who is a rock, besides our God,

32the God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect?

33He makes my feet like deer’s feet,and sets me on my high places.

34He teaches my hands to war,so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.

35You have also given me the shield of your salvation.Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.

36You have enlarged my steps under me,My feet have not slipped.

37I will pursue my enemies, and overtake them.I won’t turn away until they are consumed.

38I will strike them through, so that they will not be able to rise.They shall fall under my feet.

39For you have armed me with strength to the battle.You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

40You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me,that I might cut off those who hate me.

41They cried, but there was no one to save;even to the LORD, but he didn’t answer them.

42Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind.I cast them out as the mire of the streets.

43You have delivered me from the strivings of the people.You have made me the head of the nations.A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

44As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.

45The foreigners shall fade away,and shall come trembling out of their strongholds.

46The LORD lives! Blessed be my rock.Exalted be the God of my salvation,

47even the God who executes vengeance for me,and subdues peoples under me.

48He rescues me from my enemies.Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.

49Therefore I will give thanks to you, LORD, amongst the nations,and will sing praises to your name.

50He gives great deliverance to his king,and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring,forever more.

1Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, Ngài là năng lực tôi, tôi yêu mến Ngài.

2Đức Giê-hô-va là hòn đá tôi, đồn lũy tôi, Đấng giải cứu tôi; Đức Chúa Trời là hòn đá tôi, nơi Ngài tôi sẽ nương náu mình; Ngài cũng là cái khiên tôi, sừng cứu rỗi tôi, và là nơi náu ẩn cao của tôi.

3Đức Giê-hô-va đáng được ngợi khen; tôi sẽ kêu cầu Ngài, Aét sẽ được giải cứu khỏi các kẻ thù nghịch tôi.

4Các dây sự chết đã vương vấn tôi, Lụt gian ác chảy cuộn làm cho tôi sợ hãi.

5Những dây Aâm phủ đã vấn lấy tôi, Lưới sự chết hãm bắt tôi.

6Trong cơn gian truân tôi cầu khẩn Đức Giê-hô-va, Tôi kêu cầu Đức Chúa Trời tôi: Tại đền Ngài, Ngài nghe tiếng tôi, Và tiếng kêu cầu của tôi thấu đến tai Ngài.

7Bấy giờ đất động và rung, Nền các núi cũng lay chuyển Và rúng động, vì Ngài nổi giận.

8Khói bay ra từ lỗ mũi Ngài, Ngọn lửa hực phát ra từ miệng Ngài, Làm cho than cháy đỏ.

9Ngài làm nghiêng lệch các từng trời, và ngự xuống; Dưới chân Ngài có vùng đen kịt.

10Ngài cỡi chê-ru-bin và bay, Ngài liệng trên cánh của gió.

11Ngài nhờ sự tối tăm làm nơi ẩn núp mình, Dùng các vùng nước tối đen và mây mịt mịt của trời, Mà bủa xung quanh mình Ngài dường như một cái trại.

12Từ sự rực rỡ ở trước mặt Ngài, ngang qua các mây mịt mịt của Ngài, Có phát ra mưa đá và than hực lửa.

13Đức Giê-hô-va sấm sét trên các từng trời, Đấng Chí cao làm cho vang rân tiếng của Ngài, Có mưa đá và than hực lửa.

14Ngài bắn tên, làm cho tản lạc quân thù nghịch tôi, Phát chớp nhoáng nhiều, khiến chúng nó lạc đường.

15Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, bởi lời hăm he của Ngài, Bởi gió xịt ra khỏi lỗ mũi Ngài, Đáy biển bèn lộ ra, Và các nền thế gian bị bày tỏ.

16Từ Trên cao Ngài giơ tay ra nắm tôi, Rút tôi ra khỏi nước sâu.

17Ngài giải cứu tôi khỏi kẻ thù nghịch có sức lực, Khỏi kẻ ghét tôi, vì chúng nó mạnh hơn tôi.

18Trong ngày gian truân chúng nó xông vào tôi; Nhưng Đức Giê-hô-va nâng đỡ tôi.

19Ngài đem tôi ra nơi rộng rãi, Giải cứu tôi, vì Ngài ưa thích tôi.

20Đức Giê-hô-va đã thưởng tôi tùy sự công bình tôi, Báo tôi theo sự thanh sạch của tay tôi.

21Vì tôi đã giữ theo các đường lối Đức Giê-hô-va, Chẳng có làm ác xây bỏ Đức Chúa Trời tôi.

22Vì các mạng lịnh Ngài đều ở trước mặt tôi, Còn luật lệ Ngài, tôi nào bỏ đâu.

23Tôi cũng ở trọn vẹn với Ngài, Giữ lấy mình khỏi ác.

24Vì vậy, Đức Giê-hô-va đã báo tôi tùy sự công bình tôi, Thưởng tôi theo sự thanh sạch của tay tôi trước mặt Ngài.

25Kẻ hay thương xót, Chúa sẽ thương xót lại; Đối cùng kẻ trọn vẹn, Chúa sẽ tỏ mình trọn vẹn lại;

26Đối cùng kẻ thanh sạch, Chúa sẽ tỏ mình thanh sạch lại; Còn đối cùng kẻ trái nghịch, Chúa sẽ tỏ mình nhặt nhiệm lại.

27Vì Chúa cứu dân bị khốn khổ; Nhưng sụp mắt kẻ tự cao xuống.

28Chúa thắp ngọn đèn tôi: Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời tôi, soi sáng nơi sự tối tăm tôi.

29Nhờ Ngài tôi sẽ xông ngang qua đạo binh, Cậy Đức Chúa Trời tôi, tôi sẽ vượt khỏi tường thành.

30Còn Đức Chúa Trời, các đường lối Ngài là trọn vẹn; Lời của Đức Giê-hô-va đã được luyện cho sạch; Ngài là cái khiên cho những kẻ nào nương náu mình nơi Ngài.

31Trừ ra Đức Giê-hô-va, ai là Đức Chúa Trời? Ngoại Đức Chúa Trời chúng tôi, ai là hòn đá lớn?

32Đức Chúa Trời thắt lưng tôi bằng năng lực, Và ban bằng đường tôi.

33Ngài làm cho chân tôi lẹ như chân con nai cái, Và để tôi đứng trên các nơi cao của tôi.

34Ngài tập tay tôi đánh giặc, Đến đỗi cánh tay tôi giương nổi cung đồng.

35Chúa cũng đã ban cho tôi sự cứu rỗi làm khiên; Tay hữu Chúa nâng đỡ tôi, Và sự hiền từ Chúa đã làm tôi nên sang trọng.

36Chúa mở rộng đường dưới bước tôi, Chân tôi không xiêu tó.

37Tôi rượt đuổi kẻ thù nghịch tôi, và theo kịp; Chỉ trở về sau khi đã tận diệt chúng nó.

38Tôi đâm lủng chúng nó, đến nỗi chúng nó không thế dậy lại được; Chúng nó sa ngã dưới chân tôi.

39Vì Chúa đã thắt lưng tôi bằng sức lực để chiến, Khiến kẻ dấy nghịch cùng tôi xếp rệp dưới tôi.

40Chúa cũng khiến kẻ thù nghịch xây lưng cùng tôi; Còn những kẻ ghét tôi, tôi đã diệt chúng nó rồi.

41Chúng nó kêu, nhưng chẳng có ai cứu cho; Chúng nó kêu cầu Đức Giê-hô-va, song Ngài không đáp lại.

42Bấy giờ tôi đánh nát chúng nó ra nhỏ như bụi bị gió thổi đi; Tôi ném chúng nó ra như bùn ngoài đường.

43Chúa đã cứu tôi khỏi sự tranh giành của dân sự; Lập tôi làm đầu các nước; Một dân tộc tôi không quen biết sẽ hầu việc tôi.

44Vừa khi nghe nói về tôi; chúng nó sẽ phục tôi; Các người ngoại bang sẽ giả bộ vâng theo tôi.

45Các người ngoại bang sẽ tàn mạt Đi ra khỏi chỗ ẩn mình cách run sợ.

46Đức Giê-hô-va hằng sống; đáng ngợi khen hòn đá tôi! Nguyện Đức Chúa Trời về sự cứu rỗi tôi được tôn cao!

47Tức là Đức Chúa Trời báo oán cho tôi, Khiến các dân suy phục tôi.

48Ngài giải cứu tôi khỏi kẻ thù nghịch tôi; Thật Chúa nâng tôi lên cao hơn kẻ dấy nghịch cùng tôi. Và cứu tôi khỏi người hung bạo.

49Vì vậy, hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, tôi sẽ ngợi khen Ngài giữa các dân, Và ca tụng danh của Ngài.

50Đức Giê-hô-va ban cho vua Ngài sự giải cứu lớn lao, Và làm ơn cho đấng chịu xức dầu của Ngài, Tức là cho Đa-vít, và cho dòng dõi người, đến đời đời.
