Revelation

1After this, I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree.

2I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God. He cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,

3saying, “Don’t harm the earth, the sea, or the trees, until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads!”

4I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel:

5of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,

6of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand,

7of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,

8of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, and of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.

9After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.

10They cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

11All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God,

12saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

13One of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are arrayed in the white robes, who are they, and where did they come from?”

14I told him, “My lord, you know.” He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great suffering.They washed their robes and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.

15Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.

16They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat;

17for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Dân của Đức Chúa Trời Được Đóng Ấn

1Sau đó, tôi thấy bốn thiên sứ đứng bốn góc địa cầu, cầm giữ gió bốn phương trên đất, khiến cho khắp đất, biển và cây cối đều lặng yên.

2Tôi lại thấy một thiên sứ khác đến từ phương đông, cầm ấn của Đức Chúa Trời Hằng Sống. Thiên sứ này lớn tiếng kêu gọi bốn thiên sứ đã được quyền làm hại đất và biển:

3“Đừng làm hại đất, biển, và cây cối cho đến khi chúng ta đóng ấn trên trán các đầy tớ của Đức Chúa Trời.”

4Tôi nghe có nhiều người được đóng ấn của Đức Chúa Trời—số người được đóng ấn thuộc các đại tộc Ít-ra-ên là 144.000 người:

5Đại tộc Giu-đa có 12.000 người, đại tộc Ru-bên có 12.000 người, đại tộc Gát có 12.000 người,

6đại tộc A-se có 12.000 người, đại tộc Nép-ta-li có 12.000 người, đại tộc Ma-na-se có 12.000 người,

7đại tộc Si-mê-ôn có 12.000 người, đại tộc Lê-vi có 12.000 người, đại tộc Y-sa-ca có 12.000 người,

8đại tộc Sa-bu-luân có 12.000 người, đại tộc Giô-sép có 12.000 người, đại tộc Bên-gia-min có 12.000 người.

Vô Số Người Được Cứu

9Sau đó tôi thấy vô số người, không ai đếm nổi, từ mọi quốc gia, dòng giống, dân tộc, và ngôn ngữ. Họ đứng trước ngai và trước Chiên Con. Họ mặc áo dài trắng, tay cầm cành chà là.

10Họ lớn tiếng tung hô: “Ơn cứu rỗi chúng ta là do Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng ngồi trên ngai và do Chiên Con!”

11Các thiên sứ đang đứng quanh ngai, các trưởng lão và bốn sinh vật đều sấp mặt xuống trước ngai thờ phượng Đức Chúa Trời.

12Họ ca tụng:“A-men! Sự chúc tụng, vinh quang, và khôn ngoan,cảm tạ và vinh dự,uy quyền và sức mạnh thuộc về Đức Chúa Trời chúng tađời đời vô tận! A-men.”

13Một trong hai mươi bốn trưởng lão hỏi tôi: “Những người mặc áo dài trắng đó là ai? Họ từ đâu đến?”

14Tôi thưa: “Thưa ông, ông là người biết điều đó.” Rồi trưởng lão nói với tôi: “Đó là những người đã qua khỏi cơn đại nạn, đã giặt và phiếu trắng áo mình trong máu Chiên Con.

15Vì thế, họ được đứng trước ngai Đức Chúa Trời,ngày đêm phụng sự Ngài trong Đền Thờ.Đấng ngồi trên ngaisẽ che chở họ.

16Họ sẽ không còn đói khát;cũng không còn bị mặt trời hay sức nóng nào nung đốt.

17Vì Chiên Con ở giữa ngaisẽ là Đấng Chăn Dắt của họ. Ngài sẽ dẫn họ đến những suối nước sống. Và Đức Chúa Trời sẽ lau sạch nước mắt họ.”
