Ẩn Dụ về Các Đầy tớ Gian Ác

1Chúa Giê-xu dạy họ với câu chuyện: “Người kia trồng một vườn nho, dựng hàng rào chung quanh, đào hầm ép nho, xây tháp canh, cho người khác mướn, rồi lên đường đi xa.

2Tới mùa hái nho, chủ sai người nhà về thu hoa lợi.

3Nhưng người ấy bị các đầy tớ bắt giữ, đánh đập, và đuổi về tay không.

4Chủ sai người thứ hai, nhưng bị họ sỉ nhục và đánh vỡ đầu.

5Một người khác được chủ sai đi, lại bị chúng hạ sát. Nhiều người đến sau cũng đều bị đánh, giết.

6Cuối cùng, chủ chỉ còn người con trai yêu quý. Chủ sai con đến, vì nghĩ rằng họ sẽ kính nể con mình.

7Nhưng các đầy tớ bảo nhau: ‘Nó là con thừa tự, giết nó đi, sản nghiệp sẽ về tay chúng ta!’

8Họ liền bắt giết người con, ném thây bên ngoài vườn nho.”

9Chúa Giê-xu hỏi: “Vậy, chủ vườn nho sẽ đối xử ra sao? Chắc chắn chủ sẽ đến tiêu diệt mấy đầy tớ ấy, giao vườn cho người khác mướn.

10Các ông chưa đọc câu Thánh Kinh này sao?‘Tảng đá bị thợ xây nhà loại rađã trở thành tảng đá móng.

11Đây là việc Chúa Hằng Hữu đã thực hiện,và đó là việc diệu kỳ trước mắt chúng ta.’”

12Các nhà lãnh đạo Do Thái biết Chúa ám chỉ họ, nên tìm cách bắt Ngài, nhưng còn e ngại dân chúng. Cuối cùng, họ bỏ đi.

Thuế cho Sê-sa

13Sau đó, họ cử mấy người thuộc phái Pha-ri-si và đảng Hê-rốt đến gặp Chúa Giê-xu, tìm cách gài bẫy trong lời nói, để có cớ bắt Ngài.

14Họ hỏi: “Thưa Thầy, chúng tôi biết Thầy là người chân chính, không nể sợ, thiên vị ai, chỉ lấy công tâm giảng dạy Đạo Đức Chúa Trời. Xin Thầy cho biết nộp thuế cho Sê-sa có đúng luật hay không?

15Chúng tôi có nên nộp thuế không?” Chúa Giê-xu biết rõ đạo đức giả của họ, liền đáp: “Các ông muốn gài bẫy Ta sao? Đưa một đồng bạc cho Ta xem!”

16Họ trao đồng bạc cho Chúa. Ngài hỏi: “Hình và tên ai đây?” Họ đáp: “Sê-sa.”

17Chúa Giê-xu phán: “Hãy nộp cho Sê-sa những gì của Sê-sa, và trả lại Đức Chúa Trời những gì thuộc về Đức Chúa Trời.” Họ ngẩn ngơ trước câu trả lời của Chúa.

Thảo Luận về Sự Sống Lại

18Các thầy Sa-đu-sê—chủ trương không có sự sống lại—đến hỏi Chúa Giê-xu:

19“Thưa Thầy, Môi-se truyền lại cho chúng ta luật này: Nếu người đàn ông nào qua đời không có con, thì em trai người đó sẽ lấy vợ goá của anh để sinh con nối dõi cho anh.

20Gia đình kia có bảy anh em. Người anh cả lấy vợ rồi chết không con.

21Người thứ hai lấy vợ góa của anh, cũng chết không con. Người thứ ba cũng vậy.

22Cứ thế, cả bảy anh em đều qua đời không con nối dõi. Cuối cùng, người phụ nữ cũng chết.

23Vậy đến ngày sống lại, người phụ nữ đó sẽ làm vợ ai, vì cả bảy người đều đã cưới nàng?”

24Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Các ông lầm lẫn, vì không hiểu Thánh Kinh, cũng chẳng biết quyền năng Đức Chúa Trời.

25Vì khi người ta sống lại, sẽ không còn cưới vợ lấy chồng nữa, ai nấy đều giống như thiên sứ trên trời.

26Về người chết sống lại, các ông không đọc sách Môi-se, chỗ viết về bụi gai cháy sao? Đức Chúa Trời phán cùng Môi-se: ‘Ta là Đức Chúa Trời của Áp-ra-ham, Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sác, Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp.’

27Ngài là Đức Chúa Trời của người sống, không phải của người chết. Các ông lầm to rồi.”

Điều Răn Quan Trọng Nhất

28Một thầy dạy luật theo dõi cuộc tranh luận, thấy Chúa đối đáp lưu loát, liền hỏi: “Thưa Thầy, trong các điều răn, điều nào quan trọng hơn cả?”

29Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Điều răn quan trọng nhất là: ‘Hỡi người Ít-ra-ên, hãy lắng nghe! Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta là Chân Thần duy nhất.

30Phải yêu thương Đức Chúa Trời với cả tấm lòng, linh hồn, trí tuệ, và năng lực.’

31Điều răn thứ hai cũng quan trọng: ‘Yêu người lân cận như chính mình.’Không còn điều răn nào lớn hơn hai điều ấy.”

32Thầy dạy luật thưa: “Thầy dạy rất đúng! Đức Chúa Trời là Chân Thần duy nhất, ngoài Ngài không có Thần nào khác.

33Yêu thương Ngài với tất cả tấm lòng, trí óc, năng lực và yêu thương người lân cận như chính mình thật tốt hơn dâng mọi lễ vật và sinh tế cho Đức Chúa Trời.”

34Thấy người đó hiểu đúng ý nghĩa luật pháp, Chúa khen: “Ông không xa Nước của Đức Chúa Trời đâu!” Sau đó không ai dám chất vấn Ngài điều gì nữa.

Đấng Mết-si-a Là Con Ai?

35Trong lúc giảng dạy tại Đền Thờ, Chúa Giê-xu hỏi: “Tại sao các thầy dạy luật nói Đấng Mết-si-a là con của Đa-vít?

36Chính Đa-vít được Chúa Thánh Linh cảm hứng đã nói:‘Chúa Hằng Hữu phán cùng Chúa tôi:Hãy ngồi bên phải Ta cho đến chừng Ta đặt kẻ thù dưới gót chân Con.’

37Chính Đa-vít đã gọi Đấng Mết-si-a là ‘Chúa tôi,’ thì sao Đấng Mết-si-a là dòng dõi của Đa-vít được?” Nghe Chúa giảng dạy, dân chúng thích thú vô cùng.

38Chúa Giê-xu dạy tiếp: “Phải đề phòng các thầy dạy luật, vì họ thích mặc áo lễ thật dài, mong được người ta kính chào ngoài đường phố,

39ưa ngồi ghế danh dự trong hội đường và phòng tiệc.

40Họ làm ra vẻ thánh thiện bằng cách đọc những bài cầu nguyện dông dài, nhưng đồng thời lại cướp đoạt nhà cửa của những quả phụ cô đơn! Vì thế, họ sẽ bị hình phạt nặng nề hơn nữa!”

Quả Phụ Dâng Tiền

41Sau đó, Chúa Giê-xu đến ngồi đối ngang hộp tiền dâng trong Đền Thờ, xem người ta dâng tiền. Có lắm người giàu dâng rất nhiều,

42cũng có một quả phụ nghèo khổ đến bỏ vào hộp hai đồng xu.

43Chúa Giê-xu gọi các môn đệ lại bảo: “Ta cho các con biết, bà quả phụ nghèo này đã dâng nhiều hơn mọi người.

44Vì ai cũng lấy của thừa thãi đem dâng, nhưng bà này tuy túng ngặt đã dâng tất cả tiền mình có.”

1And he began to speak unto them by parables.A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.

2And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.

3And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.

4And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.

5And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

6Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.

7But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.

8And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

9What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.

10And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

11This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

12And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.

13¶ And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.

14And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Cæsar, or not?

15Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them,Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.

16And they brought it. And he saith unto them,Whose is this image and superscription?And they said unto him, Cæsar’s.

17And Jesus answering said unto them,Render to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.And they marvelled at him.

18¶ Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,

19Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man’s brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

20Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

21And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

22And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

23In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

24And Jesus answering said unto them,Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

25For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

26And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

27He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

28¶ And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29And Jesus answered him,The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

32And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

33And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

34And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him,Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.And no man after that durst ask him any question.

35¶ And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple,How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?

36For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

37David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

38¶ And he said unto them in his doctrine,Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,

39And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:

40Which devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

41¶ And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

42And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

43And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them,Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

44For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
