1And the lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to Beth-el;

2and it went out from Beth-el to Luz, and passed along unto the border of the Archites to Ataroth;

3and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, unto the border of Beth-horon the nether, even unto Gezer; and the goings out thereof were at the sea.

4And the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

5And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: the border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper;

6and the border went out westward at Michmethath on the north; and the border turned about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah;

7and it went down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and reached unto Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

8From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;

9together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

10And they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and are become servants to do taskwork.

1Phần đất bắt thăm trúng về con cháu Giô-sép trải từ sông Giô-đanh về Giê-ri-cô, từ các suối của Giê-ri-cô về hướng đông, chạy dọc theo đồng vắng từ thành Giê-ri-cô lên đến núi Bê-tên.

2Giới hạn băng từ Bê-tên đến Lu-xơ, đi qua bờ cõi dân A-rê-kít tại A-ta-sốt;

3kế chạy xuống hướng tây về phía bờ cõi dân Giáp-lê-tít, cho đến bờ cõi Bết-Hô-rôn dưới và Ghê-xe, rồi giáp biển.

4Aáy là tại đó mà con cháu của Giô-sép, Ma-na-se và Eùp-ra-im, lãnh phần sản nghiệp mình.

5Này là giới hạn của Eùp-ra-im, tùy theo những họ hàng của chúng. Giới hạn của sản nghiệp họ ở về phía đông, từ A-tê-rốt-A-đa cho đến Bết-Hô-rôn trên,

6thẳng qua tây tại hướng bắc của Mít-mê-thát; rồi vòng qua đông về lối Tha-a-nát-Si-lô, và qua khỏi đó đến Gia-nô-ách theo phía đông;

7kế chạy từ Gia-nô-ách xuống A-ta-rốt và Na-ra-tha, đụng Giê-ri-cô, rồi giáp sông Giô-đanh.

8Từ Tháp-bu-ách giới hạn đi về hướng tây đến khe Ca-na, rồi giáp biển. Đó là sản nghiệp của chi phái Eùp-ra-im, tùy theo những họ hàng của chúng.

9Người Eùp-ra-im cũng có những thành và làng riêng ra giữa sản nghiệp của người Ma-na-se.

10Song họ không đuổi được dân Ca-na-an ở tại Ghê-xe; nên dân Ca-na-an ở giữa Eùp-ra-im cho đến ngày nay, nhưng phải nộp thuế.
