Leviticus

1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

2This is the rite of a leper, when he is to be cleansed: he shall be brought to the priest:

3Who going out of the camp when he shall And that the leprosy is cleansed,

4Shall command him that is to be purified, to offer for himself two living sparrows, which it is lawful to eat, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

5And he shall command one of the sparrows to be immolated in an earthen vessel over living waters:

6But the other that is alive he shall dip, with the cedar wood, and the scarlet and the hyssop, in the blood of the sparrow that is immolated:

7Wherewith he shall sprinkle him that is to be cleansed seven times, that he may be rightly purified: and he shall let go the living sparrow, that it may fly into the field.

8And when the man hath washed his clothes, he shall shave all the hair of his body, and shall be washed with water: and being purified, he shall enter into the camp, yet so that he tarry without his own tent seven days:

9And on the seventh day he shall shave the hair of his head, and his beard and his eyebrows, and the hair of all his body. And having washed again his clothes, and his body,

10On the eighth day he shall take two lambs without blemish, and an ewe of a year old without blemish, and three tenths of flour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil apart.

11And when the priest that purifieth the man, hath presented him, and all these things before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony,

12He shall take a. lamb, and offer it for a trespass offering with the sextary of oil: and having offered all before the Lord,

13He shall immolate the lamb, where the victim for sin is wont to be immolated, and the holocaust, that is, in the holy place: for as that which is for sin, so also the victim for a trespass offering pertaineth to the priest: it is holy of holies.

14And the priest taking of the blood of the victim that was immolated for trespass, shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot:

15And he shall pour of the sextary of oil into his own left. hand,

16And shall dip his right finger in it, and sprinkle it before the Lord seven times.

17And the rest of the oil in his left band, he shall pour upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, and upon the blood that was shed for trespass,

18And upon his head.

19And he shall pray for him before the Lord, and shall offer the sacrifice for sin: then shall he immolate the holocaust,

20And put it on the altar with the libations thereof, and the man shall be rightly cleansed.

21But if he be poor, and his hand cannot find the things aforesaid: he shall take a lamb for an offering for trespass, that the priest may pray for him, and a tenth part of hour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil,

22And two turtles or two young pigeons, of which one may be for sin, and the other for a holocaust:

23And he shall offer them on the eighth day of his purification to the priest, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the Lord.

24And the priest receiving the lamb for trespass, and the sextary of oil, shall elevate them together.

25And the lamb being immolated, he shall put of the blood thereof upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and the great toe of his right foot:

26But he shall pour part of the oil into his own left hand,

27And dipping the finger of his right hand in it, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord:

28And he shall touch the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, in the place of the blood that was shed for trespass.

29And the other part of the oil that is in his left hand, he shall pour upon the head of the purified person, that he may appease the Lord for him.

30And he shall offer a turtle, or young pigeon,

31One for trespass, and the other for a holocaust, with their libations.

32This is the sacrifice of a leper, that is not able to have all things that appertain to his cleansing.

33And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

34When you shall be come into the land of Chanaan, which I will give you for a possession, if there be the plague of leprosy in a house,

35He whose house it is, shall go and tell the priest, saying: It seemeth to me, that there is the plague of leprosy in my house,

36And he shall command, that they carry forth all things out of the house, before he go into it, and see whether it have the leprosy, lest all things become unclean that are in the house. And afterwards he shall go in to view the leprosy of the house.

37And if he see in the walls thereof as it were little dints, disfigured with paleness or redness, and lower than all the rest,

38He shall go out of the door of the house, and forthwith shut it up seven days,

39And returning on the seventh day, he shall look upon it. If he find that the leprosy is spread,

40He shall command, that the stones wherein the leprosy is, be taken out, and cast without the city into an unclean place:

41And that the house be scraped on the inside round about, and the dust of the scraping be scattered without the city into an unclean place:

42And that other stones be laid in the place of them that were taken away, and the house be plastered with other mortar.

43But if, after the stones be taken out, and the dust scraped off, and it be plastered with other earth,

44The priest going in perceive that the leprosy is returned, and the walls full of spots, it is a lasting leprosy, and the house is unclean:

45And they shall destroy it forthwith, and shall cast the stones and timber thereof, and all the dust without the town into an unclean place.

46He that entereth into the house when it is shut, shall be unclean until evening,

47And he that sleepeth in it, and eateth any thing, shall wash his clothes.

48But if the priest going in perceive that the leprosy is not spread in the house, after it was plastered again, he shall purify it, it being cured,

49And for the purification thereof he shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:

50And having immolated one sparrow In an earthen vessel over living waters,

51He shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living sparrow, and shall dip all in the blood of the sparrow that is immolated, and in the living water, and he shall sprinkle the house seven times:

52And shall purify it as well with the blood of the sparrow, as with the living water, and with the living sparrow, and with the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet.

53And when he hath let go the sparrow to fly freely away into the field, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be rightly cleansed.

54This is the law of every kind of leprosy and stroke.

55Of the leprosy of garments and houses,

56Of a scar and of blisters breaking out, of a shining spot, and when the colours are diversely changed:

57That it may be known when a thing is clean or unclean.

1ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê rằng :

2“Đây là luật về người phong, trong ngày nó được thanh tẩy. Nó sẽ được đưa đến với tư tế ;

3tư tế sẽ ra khỏi trại. Tư tế sẽ khám : nếu người phong đã khỏi vết thương bệnh phong,

4thì tư tế sẽ truyền lấy cho người được thanh tẩy hai con chim còn sống và thanh sạch, gỗ bá hương, phẩm cánh kiến và cành hương thảo.

5Tư tế sẽ truyền sát tế một con chim trên một bình sành đựng nước mạch.

6Con chim còn sống, thì tư tế sẽ lấy nó, cùng với gỗ bá hương, phẩm cánh kiến và cành hương thảo, và nhúng hết, kể cả con chim còn sống, vào máu con chim đã bị sát tế trên nước mạch.

7Tư tế sẽ rảy bảy lần trên người đang được thanh tẩy khỏi bệnh phong, tuyên bố nó thanh sạch, rồi thả con chim còn sống ra ngoài đồng.

8Người được thanh tẩy sẽ cạo hết lông, lấy nước mà tắm rửa, và sẽ ra thanh sạch. Sau đó nó sẽ trở về trại, nhưng phải ở bên ngoài lều của mình trong vòng bảy ngày.

9Đến ngày thứ bảy, nó sẽ cạo hết lông, cạo đầu, râu và lông mày ; nó sẽ cạo hết lông, sẽ giặt áo, lấy nước tắm rửa thân thể, và sẽ ra thanh sạch.

10Ngày thứ tám, nó sẽ lấy hai con chiên đực toàn vẹn, một con chiên cái toàn vẹn, một tuổi, mười ba lít rưỡi tinh bột nhào với dầu làm lễ phẩm, và nửa lít dầu.

11Tư tế cử hành lễ thanh tẩy sẽ đặt người được thanh tẩy cùng với các lễ vật trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA, ở cửa Lều Hội Ngộ.

12Tư tế sẽ bắt một con chiên, tiến dâng làm lễ đền tội cùng với nửa lít dầu, và tư tế sẽ làm nghi thức tiến dâng những thứ ấy trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.

13Tư tế sẽ sát tế con chiên ở nơi sát tế lễ vật tạ tội và lễ vật toàn thiêu, trong nơi thánh ; –vì lễ vật đền tội thuộc về tư tế, cũng như lễ vật tạ tội : đó là của rất thánh–.

14Tư tế sẽ lấy máu lễ vật đền tội bôi vào trái tai phải người được thanh tẩy, vào ngón cái tay phải và ngón cái chân phải nó.

15Tư tế sẽ lấy nửa lít dầu, đổ một ít vào lòng bàn tay trái ;

16Tư tế sẽ nhúng một ngón tay phải vào dầu ở trong lòng bàn tay trái và lấy ngón tay rảy dầu bảy lần trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.

17Tư tế sẽ lấy dầu còn lại trong lòng bàn tay bôi vào trái tai phải người được thanh tẩy, vào ngón cái tay phải và ngón cái chân phải nó, bên trên máu lễ vật đền tội.

18Chỗ dầu còn lại trong lòng bàn tay, tư tế sẽ bôi lên đầu người được thanh tẩy. Tư tế sẽ cử hành lễ xá tội cho nó trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.

19Tư tế sẽ làm lễ tạ tội và sẽ cử hành lễ xá tội cho người đang được thanh tẩy khỏi sự ô uế, sau đó sẽ sát tế lễ vật toàn thiêu.

20Tư tế sẽ dâng lễ toàn thiêu và lễ phẩm trên bàn thờ ; tư tế sẽ cử hành lễ xá tội cho nó và nó sẽ thanh sạch.

21Nếu nó nghèo không thể kiếm được những thứ ấy, thì nó sẽ chỉ bắt một con chiên đực dùng làm lễ đền tội, người ta sẽ làm nghi thức tiến dâng con chiên ấy để cử hành lễ xá tội cho nó ; nó cũng sẽ lấy bốn lít tinh bột nhào với dầu làm lễ phẩm, một nửa lít dầu,

22và một đôi chim gáy hay một cặp bồ câu non, là những thứ nó có thể kiếm được, một con sẽ dùng làm lễ tạ tội, một con làm lễ toàn thiêu.

23Đến ngày thứ tám, nó sẽ mang những thứ ấy đến cho tư tế, ở cửa lều Hội Ngộ, trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA, để được thanh tẩy.

24Tư tế sẽ lấy con chiên dâng làm lễ đền tội và nửa lít dầu mà làm nghi thức tiến dâng trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.

25Tư tế sẽ sát tế con chiên làm lễ đền tội, rồi lấy máu lễ vật đền tội bôi vào trái tai phải người được thanh tẩy, vào ngón cái tay phải và ngón cái chân phải nó.

26Tư tế sẽ đổ một ít dầu vào lòng bàn tay trái ;

27tư tế sẽ dùng một ngón tay phải lấy dầu ở trong lòng bàn tay trái rảy bảy lần trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.

28Tư tế sẽ lấy dầu trong lòng bàn tay bôi vào trái tai phải người được thanh tẩy, vào ngón cái tay phải và ngón cái chân phải nó, ở chỗ đã bôi máu lễ vật đền tội.

29Chỗ dầu còn lại trong lòng bàn tay, tư tế sẽ bôi lên đầu người được thanh tẩy, để cử hành lễ xá tội cho nó trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.

30Còn đôi chim gáy hay cặp bồ câu non, là những thứ người ấy có thể kiếm được,

31thì trong những con chim nó đã có thể kiếm được, tư tế sẽ dâng một con làm lễ tạ tội, một con làm lễ toàn thiêu kèm với lễ phẩm. Tư tế sẽ cử hành lễ xá tội cho người được thanh tẩy, trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.”

32Đó là luật về người có vết thương bệnh phong mà không thể kiếm được cái cần thiết cho lễ nghi thanh tẩy của mình.

33ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê và ông A-ha-ron rằng :

34“Khi các ngươi vào đất Ca-na-an mà Ta ban cho các ngươi làm sở hữu, nếu Ta đặt một vết phong vào một nhà trong đất là sở hữu các ngươi,

35thì chủ nhà sẽ đến báo cho tư tế rằng : “Tôi thấy trong nhà tôi có cái gì như vết phong.”

36Trước khi vào khám vết đó, tư tế sẽ truyền dọn trống nhà, để không có vật gì trong nhà ra ô uế ; sau đó tư tế sẽ vào khám nhà.

37Tư tế sẽ khám vết : nếu vết ở các tường nhà làm thành những chỗ lõm xanh xanh hoặc đỏ đỏ xem ra như ăn sâu vào tường,

38thì tư tế sẽ ra khỏi nhà, đến tận cửa, và cô lập căn nhà trong vòng bảy ngày.

39Đến ngày thứ bảy, tư tế sẽ trở lại khám : nếu vết đã lan ra các tường nhà,

40thì tư tế sẽ truyền gỡ những viên đá có vết và ném ra ngoài thành, vào một nơi ô uế ;

41rồi tư tế sẽ cho cạo tất cả bên trong nhà và đổ vữa đã cạo ra ngoài thành, vào một nơi ô uế.

42Người ta sẽ lấy những viên đá khác thay vào các viên đá trước, và lấy vữa khác mà trát nhà.

43Nếu vết lại loang ra trong nhà, sau khi đã gỡ đá ra, sau khi đã cạo và trát nhà,

44thì tư tế sẽ đến khám : nếu vết đã lan ra trong nhà, thì đó là phong dễ lây trong nhà, nhà đó ô uế.

45Người ta sẽ phá nhà đi : đá, gỗ, tất cả vữa của nhà ấy, người ta sẽ đưa ra ngoài thành, vào một nơi ô uế.

46Ai vào nhà trong suốt thời gian nhà bị cô lập, sẽ ra ô uế cho đến chiều.

47Ai ngủ trong nhà sẽ phải giặt áo, ai ăn trong nhà sẽ phải giặt áo.

48Nhưng nếu khi tư tế vào khám, vết đã không lan ra trong nhà sau khi trát lại nhà, thì tư tế sẽ tuyên bố nhà ấy là thanh sạch, vì vết phong đã lành.

49Để xoá tội cho nhà ấy, tư tế sẽ lấy hai con chim, gỗ bá hương, phẩm cánh kiến và cành hương thảo.

50Tư tế sẽ sát tế một con chim trên một bình sành đựng nước mạch.

51Tư tế sẽ lấy gỗ bá hương, cành hương thảo, phẩm cánh kiến và con chim còn sống, nhúng vào máu con chim đã bị sát tế và vào nước mạch, và rảy vào nhà bảy lần ;

52sau khi đã dùng máu con chim, dùng nước mạch, con chim còn sống, gỗ bá hương, cành hương thảo và phẩm cánh kiến mà xoá tội cho căn nhà,

53tư tế sẽ thả con chim còn sống ra ngoài đồng, ở ngoài thành. Tư tế sẽ cử hành nghi thức xá tội cho căn nhà, và nhà ấy sẽ thanh sạch.”

54Đó là luật về mọi vết phong, về chốc,

55về phong nơi áo và nhà cửa,

56về nhọt, lác, đốm,

57Đó là luật về bệnh phong.
