Psalms

1A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, hear my prayer, Give ear unto my supplications, In Thy faithfulness answer me — in Thy righteousness.

2And enter not into judgment with Thy servant, For no one living is justified before Thee.

3For an enemy hath pursued my soul, He hath bruised to the earth my life, He hath caused me to dwell in dark places, As the dead of old.

4And my spirit in me is become feeble, Within me is my heart become desolate.

5I have remembered days of old, I have meditated on all Thine acts, On the work of Thy hand I muse.

6I have spread forth my hands unto Thee, My soul [is] as a weary land for Thee. Selah.

7Haste, answer me, O Jehovah, My spirit hath been consumed, Hide not Thou Thy face from me, Or I have been compared with those going down [to] the pit.

8Cause me to hear in the morning Thy kindness, For in Thee I have trusted, Cause me to know the way that I go, For unto Thee I have lifted up my soul.

9Deliver me from mine enemies, O Jehovah, Near Thee I am covered.

10Teach me to do Thy good pleasure, For Thou [art] my God — Thy Spirit [is] good, Lead me into a land of uprightness.

11For Thy name's sake O Jehovah, Thou dost quicken me, In Thy righteousness, Thou bringest out from distress my soul,

12And in Thy kindness cuttest off mine enemies, And hast destroyed all the adversaries of my soul, For I [am] Thy servant!

1Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, xin hãy nghe lời cầu nguyện tôi, lắng tai nghe sự nài xin của tôi; nhân sự thành tín và sự công bình Chúa, xin hãy đáp lại tôi.

2Xin chớ đoán xét kẻ tôi tớ Chúa; Vì trước mặt Chúa chẳng người sống nào được xưng là công bình.

3Kẻ thù nghịch đã đuổi theo linh hồn tôi, Giày đạp mạng sống tôi dưới đất; Nó làm cho tôi phải ở nơi tối tăm, Khác nào kẻ đã chết từ lâu rồi.

4Vì vậy, thần linh tôi nao sờn, Tấm lòng sầu não trong mình tôi.

5Tôi nhớ lại các ngày xưa, Tưởng đến mọi việc Chúa đã làm, Và suy gẫm công việc của tay Chúa.

6Tôi giơ tay lên hướng về Chúa; Lòng tôi khát khao Chúa như đất khô khan vậy.

7Đức Giê-hô-va ôi! xin mau mau đáp lời tôi! Thần linh tôi nao sờn. Xin chớ giấu mặt Chúa cùng tôi, E tôi giống như kẻ xuống huyệt chăng.

8Vừa buổi sáng, xin cho tôi nghe sự nhân từ Chúa, Vì tôi để lòng trông cậy nơi Chúa; Xin chỉ cho tôi biết con đường phải đi, Vì linh hồn tôi ngưỡng vọng Chúa.

9Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, xin giải cứu tôi khỏi kẻ thù nghịch; Tôi chạy nương náu mình nơi Ngài.

10Xin dạy tôi làm theo ý muốn Chúa, Vì Chúa là Đức Chúa Trời tôi; Nguyện Thần tốt lành của Chúa dẫn tôi vào đất bằng thẳng.

11Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, vì cớ danh Ngài, xin hãy làm cho tôi được sống; Nhờ sự công bình Ngài, xin hãy rút linh hồn tôi khỏi gian truân.

12Nhờ sự nhân từ Chúa, xin hãy diệt hết kẻ thù nghịch tôi, Và hủy hoại những kẻ hà hiếp tôi; Vì tôi là kẻ tôi tớ Chúa.
