Psalms

For the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm by Asaph. A song.

1In Judah, God is known.His name is great in Israel.

2His tabernacle is also in Salem.His dwelling place in Zion.

3There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow,the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah.

4Glorious are you, and excellent,more than mountains of game.

5Valiant men lie plundered,they have slept their last sleep. None of the men of war can lift their hands.

6At your rebuke, God of Jacob,both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

7You, even you, are to be feared.Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?

8You pronounced judgement from heaven.The earth feared, and was silent,

9when God arose to judgement, to save all the afflicted ones of the earth. Selah.

10Surely the wrath of man praises you.The survivors of your wrath are restrained.

11Make vows to the LORD your God, and fulfil them!Let all of his neighbours bring presents to him who is to be feared.

12He will cut off the spirit of princes.He is feared by the kings of the earth.

1Trong Giu-đa người ta biết Đức Chúa Trời, Danh Ngài lớn tại Y-sơ-ra-ên.

2Đền tạm Ngài ở Sa-lem, Và nơi ở Ngài tại Si-ôn.

3Tại nơi ấy Ngài đã bẻ gãy tên cung, Cái khiên, thanh gươm, và khí giới chiến.

4Chúa rực rỡ oai vinh Hơn các núi sự cướp giựt.

5Các kẻ gan dạ đã bị cướp lột, Họ ngủ trong giấc mình, Chẳng một người mạnh dạn nào tìm được cánh tay mình.

6Hỡi Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp, khi Chúa quở trách, Xe và ngựa bèn bị ngủ mê.

7Chính mình Chúa thật là đáng sợ; Cơn giận Chúa vừa nổi lên, ai đứng nổi trước mặt Chúa?

8Từ trên trời Chúa truyền đoán ngữ; Khi Đức Chúa Trời chỗi dậy đoán xét,

9Để giải cứu các người hiền từ trên đất, Thì đất bèn sợ hãi, và yên lặng.

10Cơn giận loài người hẳn sẽ ngợi khen Chúa; Còn sự giận dư lại, Chúa sẽ ngăn trở.

11Hãy hứa nguyện và trả xong cho Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời các ngươi; Hết thảy kẻ nào ở xung quanh Ngài, khá đem lễ vật dâng cho Đấng đáng kính sợ.

12Ngài diệt khí kiêu ngạo của các quan trưởng; Đối cùng các vua thế gian, Ngài đáng kinh đáng sợ.
