(Thơ của A-sáp—Giáo huấn ca)

1Lạy Đức Chúa Trời, tại sao Chúa ruồng rẫy chúng con?Sao cơn giận Chúa vẫn âm ỉ với đàn chiên của đồng cỏ Ngài?

2Xin nhớ lại dân mà Chúa đã chọn từ xưa,đại tộc mà Ngài đã chuộc làm cơ nghiệp! Và ngọn núi Si-ôn, nơi Ngài ngự trị trên đất.

3Xin Chúa quang lâm thị sát cảnh điêu tàn;quân thù đã phá tan nơi thánh Chúa.

4Quân thù gào thét giữa nơi Chúa gặp gỡ chúng con;họ ngạo nghễ trương cờ lên làm hiệu.

5Họ tung hoành như người tiều phu triệt hạđể phá hoang rừng cây rậm rạp.

6Chúng phá nát những đồ chạm trổkhông nương tay, bằng rìu và búa.

7Họ châm lửa đốt nơi thánh Chúa.Biến nơi Danh Ngài ngự ra ô uế.

8Họ bảo: “Bọn ta sẽ diệt phá mọi thứ!”Rồi thiêu hủy những nơi thờ phượng Đức Chúa Trời.

9Chúng con không còn thấy những dấu lạ.Các nhà tiên tri cũng đều vắng bóng, không ai biết thảm cảnh này bao giờ chấm dứt.

10Lạy Đức Chúa Trời, quân thù còn chế giễu đến bao giờ?Sao phe địch còn sỉ nhục Danh Chúa mãi?

11Sao Chúa cầm giữ sức mạnh trong tay phải?Xin vung tay ra và tiêu diệt họ đi.

12Chúa, Đức Chúa Trời, là Vua của tôi từ nghìn xưa,đem ơn cứu rỗi xuống trần thế.

13Dùng sức mạnh rạch biển ra,và nhận đầu quái vật trong biển xuống nước sâu.

14Chúa chà nát đầu thủy quái Lê-vi-a-than,đem thịt nó cho muông thú trong hoang mạc.

15Chúa chẻ núi, tạo dòng suối ngọt,khiến các sông chảy xiết phải khô cạn.

16Cả ngày lẫn đêm đều thuộc về Chúa;Ngài tạo mặt trời, dựng mặt trăng.

17Quy định giới hạn địa cầu,Ngài ấn định mùa đông và mùa hạ.

18Lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, xin nhớ lại lời quân thù chế nhạo.Đám dân ngu dại xúc phạm Danh Ngài.

19Xin đừng để dã thú hủy diệt bồ câu của Ngài.Xin đừng quên người khốn khổ mãi mãi.

20Xin nhớ đến giao ước Ngài hứa,vì các nơi tối tăm nhung nhúc lũ người bạo ngược!

21Xin đừng để người bị áp bức phải hổ nhục quay về.Nguyện người khốn cùng tụng ca Danh Chúa.

22Lạy Đức Chúa Trời, xin vùng dậy, bênh vực chính nghĩa Ngài.Xin nhớ lời sỉ nhục hằng ngày của người vô đạo.

23Xin đừng quên tiếng la hét của quân thù,tiếng la, gào thét thường xuyên chống Chúa.

1Why have You rejected us forever, O God?Why does Your anger smolder against the sheep of Your pasture?

2Remember Your congregation,which You purchased long agoand redeemed as the tribe of Your inheritance—Mount Zion, where You dwell.

3Turn Your steps to the everlasting ruins,to everything in the sanctuary the enemy has destroyed.

4Your foes have roared within Your meeting place;they have unfurled their banners as signs,

5like men wielding axes in a thicket of trees

6and smashing all the carvings with hatchets and picks.

7They have burned Your sanctuary to the ground;they have defiled the dwelling place of Your Name.

8They said in their hearts,“We will crush them completely.”They burned down every placewhere God met us in the land.

9There are no signs for us to see.There is no longer any prophet. And none of us knows how long this will last.

10How long, O God, will the enemy taunt You?Will the foe revile Your name forever?

11Why do You withdraw Your strong right hand?Stretch it out to destroy them!

12Yet God is my King from ancient times,working salvation on the earth.

13You divided the sea by Your strength;You smashed the heads of the dragons of the sea;

14You crushed the heads of Leviathan;You fed him to the creatures of the desert.

15You broke open the fountain and the flood;You dried up the ever-flowing rivers.

16The day is Yours, and also the night;You established the moonand the sun.

17You set all the boundaries of the earth;You made the summer and winter.

18Remember how the enemy has mocked You, O LORD,how a foolish people has spurned Your name.

19Do not deliver the soul of Your dove to beasts;do not forget the lives of Your afflicted forever.

20Consider Your covenant,for haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land.

21Do not let the oppressed retreat in shame;may the poor and needy praise Your name.

22Rise up, O God; defend Your cause!Remember how the fool mocks You all day long.

23Do not disregard the clamor of Your adversaries,the uproar of Your enemies that ascends continually.
