Chúa Xét Xử Giu-đa

1Chúa, Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân,sẽ cất đi khỏi Giê-ru-sa-lem và Giu-đa mọi thứ mà họ cần đến như: mỗi mẩu bánh và mỗi giọt nước,

2tất cả anh hùng và chiến sĩ,quan án và tiên tri, thầy bói và trưởng lão,

3quan chỉ huy quân đội và tướng lãnh,cố vấn, nghệ nhân, và chiêm tinh.

4Ta sẽ khiến những bé trai lãnh đạo họ,và trẻ con cai trị họ.

5Dân chúng áp bức nhau—người này hại người kia, láng giềng hại láng giềng.Thanh niên sẽ nổi lên chống người già,và người thấp hèn lấn lướt người tôn trọng.

6Trong những ngày ấy, một người sẽ nói với anh em của mình:“Anh có áo choàng, anh hãy lãnh đạo chúng tôi!Hãy nhận trách nhiệm về đống đổ nát này!”

7Nhưng người ấy đáp:“Không! Tôi không thể giúp được.Tôi không có bất cứ thức ăn hay y phục nào.Đừng lập tôi làm lãnh đạo!”

8Bởi Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ chao đảo,và Giu-đa sẽ suy sụp vì lời nói và hành động của họ chống lại Chúa Hằng Hữu.Họ thách thức Ngài trước mặt Ngài.

9Sắc mặt họ đủ làm chứng cớ buộc tội họ.Họ phơi bày tội lỗi mình như người Sô-đôm, không hề giấu diếm.Khốn nạn cho họ!Họ đã chuốc lấy tai họa vào thân!

10Hãy nói với những người tin kính rằngmọi sự sẽ tốt cho họ.Họ sẽ hưởng được kết quả của việc mình làm.

11Nhưng khốn thay cho người gian ác,vì họ sẽ bị báo trả những gì chính họ gây ra.

12Dân ta bị bọn trẻ áp bứcvà đàn bà cai trị họ.Ôi dân ta, lãnh đạo con đã dẫn con lầm lạc;họ đưa con vào đường sai trái.

13Chúa Hằng Hữu ngự tại tòa phán xétNgài đứng lên xét xử chúng dân!

14Chúa Hằng Hữu đến để xét xử các trưởng lãovà những người cai trị dân Ngài rằng:“Chính các ngươi đã làm tàn hại vườn nho Ta.Nhà các ngươi cất đầy vật trộm cướp từ người nghèo.

15Sao các ngươi dám đàn áp dân Ta,nghiền nát mặt người nghèo vào bụi đất?”Chúa là Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán vậy.

Chúa Cảnh Cáo Giê-ru-sa-lem

16Chúa Hằng Hữu phán:“Vì con gái Si-ôn kiêu kỳ:Nhướng cổ cao,liếc mắt trêu người,bước đi õng ẹo, khua chân vòng vàng nơi mắt cá.

17Vì thế, Chúa sẽ làm cho đầu họ đóng vảyvà Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ cho con gái Si-ôn bị hói đầu.

18Trong ngày phán xétChúa sẽ lột hết những vật trang sức làm ngươi xinh đẹpnhư khăn quấn đầu,chuỗi hạt trăng lưỡi liềm,

19hoa tai, xuyến, và khăn che mặt;

20khăn choàng, vòng đeo chân, khăn thắt lưng,túi thơm, và bùa đeo;

21nhẫn, ngọc quý,

22trang phục dạ tiệc, áo dài, áo choàng, và túi,

23gương soi, vải gai mịn,đồ trang sức trên đầu, và khăn trùm đầu.

24Thay vì tỏa mùi thơm, ngươi sẽ bị hôi thối.Ngươi sẽ mang dây trói thay vì khăn thắt lưng, và mái tóc mượt mà của ngươi sẽ bị rụng hết.Ngươi sẽ mặc vải thô thay vì áo dài sặc sỡ.Sự hổ thẹn sẽ thay cho sắc đẹp của ngươi.

25Những đàn ông trong thành sẽ bị giết bởi gươm,những anh hùng của ngươi sẽ chết nơi chiến trường.

26Các cổng Si-ôn sẽ khóc lóc và kêu than.Thành phố sẽ như người đàn bà tàn héo, bị vứt trên đất.”

1For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,

2The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,

3The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

4And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

5And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

6When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:

7In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.

8For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

9¶ The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

10Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

11Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

12¶ As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

13The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.

14The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

15What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

16¶ Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:

17Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.

18In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

19The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

20The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,

21The rings, and nose jewels,

22The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

23The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

24And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

25Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.

26And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.
