Hai Lối Thờ Phượng

1Giao ước thứ nhất đã được thiết lập giữa Đức Chúa Trời và người Ít-ra-ên để quy định cách thờ phượng và xây dựng một Đền Thánh trên mặt đất.

2Sau đó, Đền Tạm được dựng lên, gồm hai phần. Phần thứ nhất gọi là Nơi Thánh có đặt giá đèn và bàn để bánh trần thiết.

3Phần thứ hai, bên trong bức màn, gọi là Nơi Chí Thánh.

4Nơi đây có bàn thờ xông hương bằng vàng và hòm giao ước bọc vàng. Trong hòm giao ước, có chiếc bình vàng đựng ma-na, cây gậy A-rôn đã nứt lộc và hai bảng đá khắc mười điều răn.

5Trên hòm giao ước, có hai chê-ru-bim rực rỡ hào quang, cánh xòe ra che phủ nắp rương. Nhưng ở đây chúng ta không cần đi sâu vào chi tiết.

6Khi mọi thứ này đã được bày trí, các thầy tế lễ có thể thường xuyên vào Nơi Thánh để thi hành nhiệm vụ.

7Nhưng chỉ có thầy thượng tế mới được vào Nơi Chí Thánh mỗi năm một lần, và phải đem máu dâng lên Đức Chúa Trời vì tội lầm lỡ của chính mình và của toàn dân.

8Chúa Thánh Linh dùng những điều này để dạy chúng ta: Nếu giao ước cũ vẫn còn thì dân chúng chưa được vào Nơi Chí Thánh.

9Điều này chứng tỏ lễ vật và sinh tế không thể hoàn toàn tẩy sạch lương tâm loài người.

10Vì giao ước cũ qui định các thức ăn uống, cách tẩy uế, nghi lễ, luật lệ phải thi hành cho đến kỳ Đức Chúa Trời cải cách toàn diện.

Sự Hy Sinh của Chúa Cứu Thế là Toàn Hảo

11Chúa Cứu Thế đã đến, giữ chức Thầy Thượng Tế của thời kỳ tốt đẹp hiện nay. Chúa đã vào Đền Thờ vĩ đại và toàn hảo trên trời, không do tay người xây cất vì không thuộc trần gian.

12Ngài không mang máu của dê đực, bò con, nhưng dâng chính máu Ngài trong Nơi Chí Thánh, để đem lại sự cứu rỗi đời đời cho chúng ta.

13Máu của dê đực, bò đực và tro bò cái tơ rảy trên những người ô uế còn có thể thánh hóa, tẩy sạch thân thể họ,

14huống chi máu của Chúa Cứu Thế lại càng có năng lực tẩy sạch lương tâm chúng ta khỏi hành vi tội lỗi, để chúng ta phụng sự Đức Chúa Trời hằng sống cách trong sạch. Vì Chúa Cứu Thế đã nhờ Chúa Thánh Linh hiến dâng thân Ngài làm sinh tế hoàn toàn cho Đức Chúa Trời.

15Do đó, Chúa Cứu Thế làm Đấng Trung Gian của giao ước mới; Ngài đã chịu chết để cứu chuộc loài người khỏi mọi vi phạm chiếu theo giao ước cũ. Nhờ Ngài, những ai được Đức Chúa Trời mời gọi đều tiếp nhận phước hạnh vĩnh cửu như Đức Chúa Trời đã hứa.

16Người ta không thể thi hành một chúc thư khi chưa có bằng chứng người viết chúc thư đã chết,

17vì chúc thư chỉ có hiệu lực khi người ấy qua đời. Nếu người ấy còn sống, chúc thư chưa có hiệu lực.

18Vì thế, giao ước cũ cần được máu ấn chứng mới có hiệu lực.

19Sau khi công bố các điều khoản luật pháp cho dân chúng, Môi-se lấy máu bò con và máu dê đực cùng với nước, dùng lông chiên đỏ tươi và cành phương thảo rảy máu trên sách luật và dân chúng.

20Ông nói: “Đây là máu của giao ước Đức Chúa Trời đã thiết lập cho các ngươi.”

21Môi-se cũng rảy máu trên Đền Tạm và mỗi dụng cụ thờ phượng.

22Vậy, theo luật pháp, máu tẩy sạch hầu hết mọi vật: Nếu không đổ máu, tội lỗi chẳng bao giờ được tha thứ.

23Nếu các vật dưới đất—là mô hình của các vật trên trời—được tẩy sạch nhờ máu sinh tế, thì các vật thật trên trời phải dùng máu sinh tế có giá trị hơn muôn phần.

24Chúa Cứu Thế không vào Đền Thánh dưới đất do con người xây cất, mô phỏng theo Đền Thánh thật. Nhưng Ngài đã vào Đền Thánh trên trời, và đang thay mặt chúng ta đến gặp Đức Chúa Trời.

25Chúa cũng không dâng thân Ngài nhiều lần, như các thầy thượng tế Do Thái mỗi năm phải đem máu sinh tế vào Nơi Chí Thánh.

26Không lẽ từ khi sáng tạo vũ trụ đến nay, Ngài đã phải chịu chết nhiều lần sao? Không, Chúa Cứu Thế chỉ xuất hiện một lần vào cuối các thời đại, dâng thân Ngài làm sinh tế để xóa sạch tất cả tội lỗi chúng ta.

27Theo như đã định, mỗi người chỉ chết một lần rồi bị Chúa xét xử.

28Cũng thế, Chúa Cứu Thế chỉ hy sinh tính mạng một lần là đủ gánh thay tội lỗi loài người. Ngài sẽ trở lại, không phải gánh tội lỗi nữa, nhưng để cứu rỗi những người trông đợi Ngài.

1Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we can not now speak particularly.

6Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

19For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

21Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
