Các Ân Tứ Thuộc Linh

1Thưa anh chị em, tôi mong anh chị em biết rõ các ân tứ của Chúa Thánh Linh.

2Anh chị em còn nhớ, trước kia anh chị em là người ngoại quốc, bị hướng dẫn lầm lạc theo các thần tượng câm.

3Vì thế, tôi muốn anh chị em biết rằng không ai được Thánh Linh Đức Chúa Trời cảm động mà nguyền rủa Chúa Giê-xu, cũng không ai công nhận Giê-xu là Chúa nếu không do Chúa Thánh Linh hướng dẫn.

4Có nhiều ân tứ khác nhau nhưng chỉ có một Chúa Thánh Linh.

5Có nhiều cách phục vụ khác nhau nhưng chỉ có một Chúa.

6Có nhiều chức năng khác nhau nhưng chỉ có một Đức Chúa Trời thực hiện mọi việc trong mọi người.

7Ân tứ thuộc linh được biểu lộ nơi mỗi người một khác vì lợi ích chung.

8Chúa Thánh Linh cho người này lời nói khôn ngoan, cũng Chúa Thánh Linh ấy cho người kia nói điều hiểu biết.

9Chúa Thánh Linh cho người này đức tin, người khác ân tứ chữa bệnh.

10Người làm phép lạ, người nói tiên tri công bố Lời Chúa, người phân biệt các thần giả mạo với Thánh Linh của Đức Chúa Trời, người nói ngoại ngữ, và người thông dịch ngoại ngữ.

11Những ân tứ ấy đều do cùng một Chúa Thánh Linh phân phối cho mọi người theo ý Ngài.

Một Thân Thể với Nhiều Chi Thể

12Thân thể con người gồm nhiều chi thể khác nhau. Chi thể tuy nhiều nhưng kết hợp làm một thân thể. Thân thể Chúa Cứu Thế cũng vậy.

13Vài người trong chúng ta là người Do Thái, người Hy Lạp, người nô lệ, hay người tự do. Nhờ một Chúa Thánh Linh, tất cả chúng ta đều chịu báp-tem để gia nhập vào một thân thể, và chúng ta đều nhận lãnh cùng một Chúa Thánh Linh.

14Thân thể không phải chỉ có một bộ phận, nhưng gồm nhiều bộ phận.

15Nếu chân nói: “Tôi không phải là tay nên không thuộc về thân thể,” thì không vì thế mà chân không thuộc về thân thể.

16Nếu tai nói: “Tôi không phải là mắt nên không thuộc về thân thể,” thì không vì thế mà tai không thuộc về thân thể.

17Nếu cả thân thể đều là mắt, làm sao nghe? Nếu cả thân thể đều là tai, làm sao ngửi?

18Đức Chúa Trời đã phân định mỗi chi thể trong thân thể theo ý Ngài.

19Nếu tất cả chỉ là một chi thể, đâu còn thân thể nữa!

20Thật ra, bộ phận tuy nhiều nhưng hợp làm một thân thể.

21Mắt không thể nói với tay: “Tôi không cần đến anh,” đầu không thể nói với hai chân: “Tôi không cần các anh.”

22Trái lại, những chi thể nào trong thân có vẻ yếu ớt nhất lại là cần thiết nhất.

23Chi thể nào tưởng tầm thường lại càng được tôn trọng. Chi thể nào thiếu vẻ đẹp lại cần được trau dồi hơn.

24Các chi thể đã đẹp không cần trang điểm nữa. Đức Chúa Trời xếp đặt các phần trong thân thể chúng ta theo nguyên tắc: Chi thể yếu kém hơn lại được săn sóc tôn trọng hơn,

25để tất cả các chi thể đều hòa hợp, hỗ trợ nhau.

26Nếu chi thể nào đau, cả thân thể cùng đau; nếu chi thể nào được ngợi tôn, cả thân thể cùng vui mừng.

27Anh chị em là thân thể của Chúa Cứu Thế, mỗi người là một chi thể.

28Đức Chúa Trời đã phân định trong Hội Thánh:thứ nhất là sứ đồ, thứ hai là tiên tri, thứ ba là giáo sư, rồi đến người làm phép lạ, người chữa bệnh, người phục vụ, người quản trị, người nói ngoại ngữ.

29Không phải tất cả là sứ đồ, hoặc tiên tri hay giáo sư. Không phải tất cả đều làm phép lạ.

30Cũng không phải tất cả đều có ân tứ chữa bệnh, hoặc nói hay thông dịch ngoại ngữ.

31Anh chị em hãy khao khát ân tứ hữu ích hơn. Nhưng bây giờ tôi sẽ chỉ cho anh chị em đường lối tốt đẹp nhất.

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14For the body is not one member, but many.

15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

19And if they were all one member, where were the body?

20But now are they many members, yet but one body.

21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
