Ezekiel

1And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber’s razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.

2Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

3Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.

4Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.

5¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.

6And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.

7Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;

8Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.

9And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

10Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

11Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.

12¶ A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

13Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.

14Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.

15So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.

16When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:

17So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.

1Phần ngươi, hỡi con người, hãy lấy một thanh gươm sắc và dùng làm dao cạo, rồi lướt trên đầu và râu ngươi. Ngươi hãy lấy cân chia râu tóc ra làm nhiều phần.

2Ngươi sẽ đốt một phần ba trong ngọn lửa nhóm lên ở giữa thành, khi mãn hạn số ngày thành bị vây hãm. Một phần ba nữa, ngươi sẽ dùng gươm mà vằm ra ở chung quanh thành ; còn một phần ba cuối cùng, ngươi sẽ vãi tung trước gió, và Ta sẽ tuốt gươm đuổi theo.

3Nhưng trong số đó, ngươi sẽ giữ lại một ít mà bỏ vào vạt áo.

4Và trong số ít này, ngươi lại lấy mà ném vào lửa mà đốt ; từ đó sẽ phát ra một ngọn lửa. Rồi ngươi nói với toàn thể nhà Ít-ra-en.

5ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán thế này : Đó là Giê-ru-sa-lem. Ta đã đặt nó ở giữa chư dân và các nước láng giềng.

6Nhưng nó đã nổi loạn chống lại các phán quyết của Ta, làm điều gian ác còn hơn cả chư dân, chống lại các lệnh truyền của Ta hơn cả các nước láng giềng ; quả thật, chúng đã khước từ các phán quyết của Ta và không tuân cứ các lệnh truyền của Ta.

7Bởi vậy, ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán thế này : vì các ngươi làm loạn hơn cả chư dân ở chung quanh, các lệnh truyền của Ta, các ngươi đã không tuân cứ, và các phán quyết của Ta, các ngươi đã không thi hành ; các ngươi cũng chẳng thi hành theo như tập tục của chư dân ở chung quanh.

8Vì thế, ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán như sau : Này Ta sắp giáng phạt ngươi, chính Ta sẽ thi hành án phạt ngươi trước mặt chư dân.

9Vì mọi điều ghê tởm của ngươi, Ta sẽ làm cho ngươi điều Ta chưa hề làm và chẳng bao giờ làm như thế nữa.

10Vì thế, ở giữa ngươi, cha sẽ ăn thịt con và con sẽ ăn thịt cha. Ta sẽ thi hành án phạt ngươi và tất cả số người còn sót lại của ngươi, Ta sẽ tung cho gió cuốn đi khắp tứ phương.

11Bởi vậy, Ta lấy mạng sống Ta mà thề –sấm ngôn của ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng– vì ngươi đã làm ô uế thánh điện của Ta bằng mọi đồ gớm ghiếc và mọi thứ ghê tởm, nên chính Ta sẽ khai trừ chẳng chút xót thương, không còn để mắt đoái hoài.

12Một phần ba số dân của ngươi sẽ chết vì ôn dịch và bị tiêu diệt vì đói kém xảy ra nơi ngươi ; còn một phần ba nữa, Ta sẽ tung cho gió cuốn đi khắp tứ phương và tuốt gươm đuổi theo.

13Ta sẽ trút cơn thịnh nộ cho hả giận để trừng phạt chúng, Ta sẽ trả thù ; lúc ấy chúng sẽ nhận biết rằng Ta là ĐỨC CHÚA ; Ta phán trong lúc Ta nổi cơn ghen và trút cơn lôi đình xuống để trừng phạt chúng.

14Ta sẽ làm cho ngươi ra hoang tàn, nên đồ bị sỉ nhục giữa chư dân ở chung quanh, trước mặt mọi người qua lại.

15Đối với chư dân ở chung quanh, ngươi sẽ nên trò sỉ vả và lăng nhục, nên bài học và điều kinh tởm, khi Ta thi hành án phạt ngươi, trong lúc Ta thịnh nộ nổi cơn lôi đình và giận dữ khiển trách. Chính Ta, ĐỨC CHÚA, Ta đã phán.

16Khi Ta phóng vào các ngươi những mũi tên ác độc là nạn đói kém có sức tiêu diệt –bởi vì Ta sẽ phóng tên tiêu diệt các ngươi– Ta sẽ còn gia tăng đói kém để phạt các ngươi, sẽ làm cạn nguồn lương thực,

17cho nạn đói và thú dữ hoành hành giữa các ngươi, khiến các ngươi phải mất con ; các ngươi sẽ phải chết vì ôn dịch, vì máu đổ, Ta sẽ cho gươm đao đến trừng phạt các ngươi. Chính Ta, ĐỨC CHÚA, Ta đã phán.”
