Leviticus

1This also is the law of the sacrifice for a trespass, it is most holy:

2Therefore where the holocaust is immolated, the victim also for a trespass shall be slain: the blood thereof shall be poured round about the altar.

3They shall offer thereof the rump and the fat that covereth the entrails:

4The two little kidneys, and the fat which is by the flanks, and the caul of the liver with the little kidneys.

5And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the burnt sacrifice of the Lord for a trespass.

6Every male of the priestly race, shall eat this flesh in a holy place, because it is most holy.

7As the sacrifice for sin is offered, so is also that for a trespass: the same shall be the law of both these sacrifices: it shall belong to the priest that offereth it.

8The priest that offereth the victim of holocaust, shall have the skin thereof.

9And every sacrifice of flour that is baked in the oven, and whatsoever is dressed on the gridiron, or in the fryingpan, shall be the priest’s that offereth it:

10Whether they be tempered with oil, or dry, all the sons of Aaron shall have one as much as another.

11This is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings that is offered to the Lord.

12If the oblation be for thanksgiving, they shall offer leaves without leaven tempered with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and fine flour fried, and cakes tempered and mingled with oil:

13Moreover leaves of leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanks, which is offered for peace offerings:

14Of which one shall be offered to the Lord for firstfruits, and shall be the priest’s that shall pour out the blood of the victim.

15And the flesh of it shall be eaten the same day, neither shall any of it remain until the morning.

16If any man by vow, or of his own accord offer a sacrifice, it shall in like manner be eaten the same day: and if any of it remain until the morrow, it is lawful to eat it:

17But whatsoever shall be found on the third day shall be consumed with fire.

18If any man eat of the flesh of the victim of peace offerings on the third day, the oblation shall be of no effect, neither shall it profit the offerer: yea rather whatsoever soul shall defile itself with such meat, shall be guilty of transgression.

19The flesh that hath touched any unclean thing, shall not be eaten, but shall be burnt with fire: he that is clean shall eat of it.

20If any one that is defiled shall eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which is offered to the Lord, he shall be cut off from his people.

21And he that hath touched the uncleanness of man, or of beast, or of any thing that can defile, and shall eat of such kind of flesh, shall be cut off from his people.

22And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

23Say to the children of Israel: The fat of a sheep, and of an ox, and of a goat you shall not eat.

24The fat of a carcass that hath died of itself, and of a beast that was caught by another beast, you shall have for divers uses.

25If any man eat the fat that should be offered for the burnt sacrifice of the Lord, he shall perish out of his people.

26Moreover you shall not eat the blood of any creature whatsoever, whether of birds or beasts.

27Every one that eateth blood, shall perish from among the people.

28And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

29Speak to the children of Israel, saying: He that offereth a victim of peace offerings to the Lord, let him offer therewith a sacrifice also, that is, the libations thereof.

30He shall hold in his hands the fat of the victim, and the breast: and when he hath offered and consecrated both to the Lord, he shall deliver them to the priest,

31Who shall burn the fat upon the altar, but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’.

32The right shoulder also of the victims of peace offerings shall fall to the priest for firstfruits.

33He among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood, and the fat, he shall have the right shoulder also for his portion.

34For the breast that is elevated and the shoulder that is separated I have taken of the children of Israel, from off their victims of peace offerings, and have given them to Aaron the priest, and to his sons, by a law for ever, from all the people of Israel.

35This is the anointing of Aaron and his sons, in the ceremonies of the Lord, in the day when Moses offered them, that they might do the office of priesthood,

36And the things that the Lord commanded to be given them by the children of Israel, by a perpetual observance in their generations.

37This is the law of holocaust, and of the sacrifice for sin, and for trespass, and for consecration, and the victims of peace offerings:

38Which the Lord appointed to Moses in mount Sinai, when he commanded the children of Israel, that they should offer their oblations to the Lord in the desert of Sinai.

1Đây là luật về lễ đền tội, về một của rất thánh :

2Phải sát tế lễ vật đền tội ở nơi sát tế lễ vật toàn thiêu, và tư tế sẽ rảy máu nó chung quanh bàn thờ.

3Tư tế sẽ tiến dâng tất cả mỡ của nó : cái đuôi, lớp mỡ bọc ngoài bộ lòng,

4hai trái cật và lớp mỡ bọc ngoài, gần lưng, và khối mỡ trên gan mà tư tế sẽ tách ra cùng với các trái cật.

5Tư tế sẽ đốt những thứ ấy cho cháy nghi ngút trên bàn thờ, làm lễ hoả tế dâng ĐỨC CHÚA. Đó là lễ đền tội.

6Mọi đàn ông con trai thuộc hàng tư tế sẽ được ăn ; lễ vật ấy sẽ được ăn trong một nơi thánh : đó là của rất thánh.

7Lễ tạ tội thế nào, lễ đền tội cũng vậy : chỉ có một luật duy nhất cho cả hai. Tư tế nào dâng lễ vật để cử hành lễ xá tội, thì lễ vật sẽ thuộc về tư tế đó.

8Tư tế tiến dâng lễ toàn thiêu của người nào, thì da của lễ vật mà tư tế đó tiến dâng sẽ thuộc về tư tế đó.

9Mọi lễ phẩm nướng trong lò, mọi lễ phẩm nấu trong nồi hay chiên trên chảo sẽ thuộc về tư tế tiến dâng lễ phẩm ấy.

10Mọi lễ phẩm nhào với dầu hay để khô sẽ thuộc về các con A-ha-ron.

11Đây là luật về hy lễ kỳ an tiến dâng ĐỨC CHÚA :

12Nếu tiến dâng hy lễ kỳ an kèm với lễ tạ ơn, thì cùng với hy lễ tạ ơn, phải tiến dâng bánh ngọt không men nhào với dầu, bánh tráng không men phết dầu và tinh bột trộn kỹ làm thành bánh nhào với dầu.

13Cùng với bánh ngọt đó, phải dâng bánh có men làm lễ tiến, kèm theo lễ kỳ an.

14Phải tiến dâng một phần lấy từ mọi lễ tiến làm phần trích dâng ĐỨC CHÚA. Phần ấy sẽ thuộc về tư tế đã rảy máu của lễ vật kỳ an.

15Còn thịt của hy lễ kỳ an để tạ ơn, thì phải ăn trong chính ngày tiến dâng, không được để lại gì cho đến sáng hôm sau.

16Nếu hy lễ tiến dâng là lễ vật đã khấn hứa hay lễ vật tự nguyện, thì phải ăn trong chính ngày tiến dâng hy lễ ; phần còn lại, được ăn ngày hôm sau.

17Sang ngày thứ ba, những gì còn lại của hy lễ, phải bỏ vào lửa mà thiêu.

18Sang ngày thứ ba mà người ta cứ ăn thịt của hy lễ kỳ an, thì người tiến dâng hy lễ sẽ không được đoái nhận ; nó sẽ không được kể là đã dâng hy lễ : đó là thịt ôi, và người nào ăn thì phải mang tội.

19Thịt của hy lễ kỳ an, thì mọi người thanh sạch đều được ăn.

20Nhưng người nào ở trong tình trạng ô uế mà ăn thịt của hy lễ kỳ an dâng ĐỨC CHÚA, thì sẽ bị khai trừ khỏi dòng họ.

21Người nào chạm tới bất cứ cái gì ô uế –cái gì ô uế của người ta, hay loài vật ô uế, hay bất cứ vật ô uế kinh tởm nào– mà ăn thịt của hy lễ kỳ an dâng ĐỨC CHÚA, thì người ấy sẽ bị khai trừ khỏi dòng họ.”

22ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê rằng :

23“Hãy nói với con cái Ít-ra-en : Tất cả những gì là mỡ, mỡ bò, mỡ chiên hay mỡ dê, các ngươi không được ăn.

24Mỡ của con vật chết và mỡ của con vật bị thú dữ xé, có thể dùng vào mọi việc, nhưng tuyệt đối các ngươi không được ăn.

25Phàm ai ăn mỡ con vật mà người ta đã dâng tiến một phần làm lễ hoả tế dâng ĐỨC CHÚA, thì chính người ăn sẽ bị khai trừ khỏi dòng họ.

26Tại khắp nơi các ngươi ở, tất cả những gì là tiết, dù là tiết chim hay tiết loài vật, các ngươi không được ăn.

27Phàm người nào ăn bất cứ cái gì là tiết, thì sẽ bị khai trừ khỏi dòng họ.”

28ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê rằng :

29“Hãy nói với con cái Ít-ra-en : Ai tiến dâng ĐỨC CHÚA hy lễ kỳ an, thì sẽ đem đến một phần hy lễ kỳ an của mình làm lễ tiến, dâng ĐỨC CHÚA.

30Chính tay người ấy sẽ đem đến những lễ hoả tế của ĐỨC CHÚA là mỡ kèm theo cái ức, nó sẽ đem cái ức đến để làm nghi thức tiến dâng trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.

31Tư tế sẽ đốt mỡ cho cháy nghi ngút trên bàn thờ, còn cái ức thì thuộc về A-ha-ron và các con nó.

32Các ngươi sẽ cho tư tế cái đùi phải, làm phần trích ra từ hy lễ kỳ an của các ngươi.

33Người nào trong các con A-ha-ron dâng tiến máu và mỡ của lễ kỳ an, thì cái đùi phải sẽ là phần của nó.

34Thật vậy, cái ức đã tiến dâng theo nghi thức và cái đùi đã trích ra, thì Ta lấy của con cái Ít-ra-en, từ các hy lễ kỳ an của chúng, và Ta ban cho tư tế A-ha-ron và các con nó : đó là quy luật vĩnh viễn cho con cái Ít-ra-en.”

35Đó là phần của ông A-ha-ron và phần của các con ông, lấy từ các lễ hoả tế dâng ĐỨC CHÚA, từ ngày họ được tiến dâng để làm tư tế của ĐỨC CHÚA.

36Phần đó, ĐỨC CHÚA đã truyền cho con cái Ít-ra-en tặng cho họ, từ ngày Người xức dầu tấn phong họ : đó là quy tắc vĩnh viễn cho họ từ thế hệ này qua thế hệ kia.

37Đó là luật về lễ toàn thiêu, lễ phẩm, lễ tạ tội, lễ đền tội, lễ trao quyền và hy lễ kỳ an ;

38luật đó, ĐỨC CHÚA đã truyền cho ông Mô-sê trên núi Xi-nai, trong ngày Người truyền cho con cái Ít-ra-en dâng ĐỨC CHÚA các lễ tiến của họ trong sa mạc Xi-nai.
