Isaiah

1O Lord, thou art my God, I will exalt thee, and give glory to thy name: for thou hast done wonderful things, thy designs of old faithful, amen.

2For thou hast reduced the city to a heap, the strong city to ruin, the house of strangers, to be no city, and to be no more built up for ever.

3Therefore shall a strong people praise thee, the city of mighty nations shall fear thee.

4Because thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress: a refuge from the whirlwind, a shadow from the heat. For the blast of the mighty is like a whirlwind beating against a wall.

5Thou shalt bring down the tumult of strangers, as heat in thirst: and as with heat under a burning cloud, thou shalt make the branch of the mighty to wither away.

6And the Lord of hosts shall make unto all people in this mountain, a feast of fat things, a feast of wine, of fat things full of marrow, of wine purified from the lees.

7And he shall destroy in this mountain the face of the bond with which all people were tied, and the web that he began over all nations.

8He shall cast death down headlong for ever: and the Lord God shall wipe away tears from every face, and the reproach of his people he shall take away from off the whole earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

9And they shall say in that day: Lo, this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord, we have patiently waited for him, we shall rejoice and be joyfull in his salvation.

10For the hand of the Lord shall rest in this mountain: and Moab shall be trodden down under him, as straw is broken in pieces with the wain.

11And he shall stretch forth his hands under him, as he that swimmeth stretcheth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down his glory with the dashing of his hands.

12And the bulwarks of thy high walls shall fall, and be brought low, and shall be pulled down to the ground, even to the dust.

1Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, Ngài là Đức Chúa Trời tôi! Tôi tôn sùng Ngài, tôi ngợi khen danh Ngài; vì Ngài đã làm những sự mới lạ, là những mưu đã định từ xưa, cách thành tín chân thật.

2Vì Ngài đã làm cho thành trở nên gò đống, thành bền vững trở nên nơi đổ nát. Đền đài của dân ngoại chẳng phải là thành nữa, sẽ chẳng hề xây lại.

3Vậy nên một dân cường thạnh sẽ tôn vinh Ngài; thành của các dân tộc đáng kinh hãi sẽ kính sợ Ngài.

4Vì Ngài là nơi bền vững cho kẻ nghèo, đồn lũy cho kẻ thiếu thốn trong lúc khó khăn, chỗ đụt cho khỏi bão, chỗ bóng mát cho khỏi nắng, khi những kẻ cường bạo thổi hơi ra như bão, xông vào tường thành.

5Ngài sẽ dứt sự ồn ào của dân ngoại, như trừ khi nóng trong nơi đất hạn; ngừng tiếng hát Mừng của kẻ cường bạo, như hơi nắng tan đi bởi bóng mây.

6Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân sẽ ban cho mọi dân tộc, tại trên núi nầy, một tiệc yến đồ béo, một diên rượu ngon, đồ béo có tủy, rượu ngon lọc sạch.

7Tại trên núi nầy Ngài sẽ trừ diệt mặt của đồ đắp trên muôn dân, và cái màn che phủ mọi dân tộc.

8Ngài đã nuốt sự chết đến đời đời. Chúa Giê-hô-va sẽ lau nước mắt khỏi mọi mặt, và trừ bỏ sự xấu hổ của dân Ngài khỏi cả thế gian; vì Đức Giê-hô-va đã phán vậy.

9Trong ngày đó, người ta sẽ nói rằng: Kìa, ấy là Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta; chúng ta đã mong đợi Ngài, và Ngài sẽ cứu chúng ta. Aáy là Đức Giê-hô-va; chúng ta đã mong đợi Ngài, chúng ta sẽ nức lòng mừng rỡ và đồng vui về sự cứu rỗi của Ngài!

10Vì tay Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ đặt trên núi nầy; nhưng Mô-áp sẽ bị giày đạp trong nơi nó, như rơm bị giày đạp trong ao phân.

11Nó sẽ giang tay trong đó, như người lội bơi giang tay ra để lội; nhưng Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ dằn sự kiêu ngạo nó xuống, và cất bỏ mọi cơ mưu của tay nó.

12Ngài sẽ hạ lũy cao của tường thành ngươi xuống, đánh đổ, và ném xuống đất vào trong bụi bặm.
