Living Sacrifices

1Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

2Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

3For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you.

4Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function,

5so in Christ we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another.

6We have different gifts according to the grace given us. If one’s gift is prophecy, let him use it in proportion to his faith;

7if it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach;

8if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is giving, let him give generously; if it is leading, let him lead with diligence; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

Love, Zeal, Hope, Hospitality

9Love must be sincere. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good.

10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Outdo yourselves in honoring one another.

11Do not let your zeal subside; keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

12Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer.

13Share with the saints who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Forgiveness

14Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse.

15Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.

16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but associate with the lowly. Do not be conceited.

17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Carefully consider what is right in the eyes of everybody.

18If it is possible on your part, live at peace with everyone.

19Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.”

20On the contrary, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him;if he is thirsty, give him a drink.For in so doing,you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

基督裏的新生活

1所以，弟兄們，我以上帝的慈悲勸你們，將身體獻上，當作活祭，是聖潔的，是上帝所喜悅的；你們如此事奉乃是理所當然的。

2不要效法這個世界，只要心意更新而變化，叫你們察驗何為上帝的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意。

3我憑着所賜我的恩對你們各人說：不要看自己過於所當看的；要照着上帝所分給各人信心的大小，看得合乎中道。

4正如我們一個身子上有好些肢體，肢體也不都是一樣的用處。

5我們這許多人，在基督裏成為一身，互相聯絡作肢體，也是如此。

6按我們所得的恩賜，各有不同。或說預言，就當照着信心的程度說預言；

7或作執事，就當專一執事；或作教導的，就當專一教導；

8或作勸化的，就當專一勸化；施捨的，就當誠實；治理的，就當殷勤；憐憫人的，就當甘心。

基督徒的生活守則

9愛人不可虛假。惡，要厭惡；善，要親近。

10愛弟兄，要彼此親熱；恭敬人，要彼此推讓。

11殷勤，不可懶惰；要心裏火熱，常常服事主。

12在指望中要喜樂；在患難中要忍耐；禱告要恆切。

13聖徒缺乏，要幫補；客，要一味地款待。

14逼迫你們的，要給他們祝福；只要祝福，不可咒詛。

15與喜樂的人要同樂；與哀哭的人要同哭。

16要彼此同心；不要志氣高大，倒要俯就卑微的人。不要自以為聰明。

17不要以惡報惡；眾人以為美的事要留心去做。

18若是能行，總要盡力與眾人和睦。

19親愛的弟兄，不要自己伸冤，寧可讓步，聽憑主怒；因為經上記着：「主說：『伸冤在我，我必報應。』」

20所以，「你的仇敵若餓了，就給他吃，若渴了，就給他喝；因為你這樣行就是把炭火堆在他的頭上。」

21你不可為惡所勝，反要以善勝惡。
