Psalms

A Song, a Psalm of the sons of Korah; for the Chief Musician; set to Mahalath Leannoth. Maschil of Heman the Ezrahite.

1O Jehovah, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee.

2Let my prayer enter into thy presence; Incline thine ear unto my cry.

3For my soul is full of troubles, And my life draweth nigh unto Sheol.

4I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no help,

5Cast off among the dead, Like the slain that lie in the grave, Whom thou rememberest no more, And they are cut off from thy hand.

6Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in the deeps.

7Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, And thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. [Selah

8Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me; Thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.

9Mine eye wasteth away by reason of affliction: I have called daily upon thee, O Jehovah; I have spread forth my hands unto thee.

10Wilt thou show wonders to the dead? Shall they that are deceased arise and praise thee? [Selah

11Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? Or thy faithfulness in Destruction?

12Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? And thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

13But unto thee, O Jehovah, have I cried; And in the morning shall my prayer come before thee.

14Jehovah, why castest thou off my soul? Why hidest thou thy face from me?

15I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: While I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.

16Thy fierce wrath is gone over me; Thy terrors have cut me off.

17They came round about me like water all the day long; They compassed me about together.

18Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, And mine acquaintance into darkness.

1Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, Đức Chúa Trời về sự cứu rỗi tôi. Ngày và đêm tôi kêu cầu trước mặt Chúa.

2Nguyện lời cầu nguyện tôi thấu đến trước mặt Chúa; Xin hãy nghiêng tai qua nghe tiếng kêu cầu của tôi.

3Vì linh hồn tôi đầy dẫy sự hoạn nạn, Mạng sống tôi hầu gần âm phủ.

4Tôi bị kể vào số những kẻ đi xuống huyệt; Tôi khác nào một người chẳng có ai giúp đỡ,

5Bị bỏ giữa kẻ chết, Giống như những kẻ bị giết nằm trong mồ mả, Mà Chúa không còn nhớ đến, Là kẻ bị truất khỏi tay Chúa.

6Chúa đã để tôi nằm nơi hầm cực sâu, Tại chốn tối tăm trong vực thẳm.

7Cơn giận Chúa đè nặng trên tôi, Chúa dùng các lượn sóng Chúa làm tôi cực nhọc.

8Chúa khiến những kẻ quen biết tôi lìa xa tôi, Làm tôi thành một vật gớm ghiếc cho họ; Tôi bị cấm cố, không ra được.

9Mắt tôi hao mòn vì hoạn nạn; Đức Giê-hô-va ơi, hằng ngày tôi cầu khẩn Ngài, Và giơ tay lên hướng cùng Ngài.

10Chúa há vì kẻ chết mà sẽ làm phép lạ sao? Những kẻ qua đời há sẽ chỗi dậy đặng ngợi khen Chúa ư?

11Sự nhân từ Chúa há sẽ được truyền ra trong mồ mả sao? Hoặc sự thành tín Chúa được giảng trong vực sâu ư?

12Các phép lạ Chúa há sẽ được biết trong nơi tối tăm sao? Và sự công bình Chúa há sẽ được rõ trong xứ bị bỏ quên ư?

13Còn tôi, Đức Giê-hô-va ơi, tôi kêu cầu cùng Ngài; Vừa sáng lời cầu nguyện tôi sẽ thấu đến trước mặt Ngài.

14Đức Giê-hô-va ôi! vì sao Ngài từ bỏ linh hồn tôi, Và giấu mặt Ngài cùng tôi?

15Tôi bị hoạn nạn hòng chết từ buổi thơ ấu; Tôi mang sự kinh khiếp Chúa, và bị hoảng hồn.

16Sự giận dữ Chúa trôi trác tôi, Sự hãi hùng Chúa đã trừ diệt tôi.

17Hằng ngày các điều ấy vây quanh tôi như nước, Cùng nhau bao phủ tôi.

18Chúa khiến các bậu bạn lìa xa tôi, Cũng đã làm kẻ quen biết tôi ẩn nơi tối tăm.
