1These are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went forth out of the land of Egypt by their hosts under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

2And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

3And they journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians,

4while the Egyptians were burying all their first-born, whom Jehovah had smitten among them: upon their gods also Jehovah executed judgments.

5And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.

6And they journeyed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

7And they journeyed from Etham, and turned back unto Pi-hahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon: and they encamped before Migdol.

8And they journeyed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and they went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

9And they journeyed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and threescore and ten palm-trees; and they encamped there.

10And they journeyed from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea.

11And they journeyed from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

12And they journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

13And they journeyed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

14And they journeyed from Alush, and encamped in Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.

15And they journeyed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.

16And they journeyed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth-hattaavah.

17And they journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped in Hazeroth.

18And they journeyed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.

19And they journeyed from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon-perez.

20And they journeyed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.

21And they journeyed from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah.

22And they journeyed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.

23And they journeyed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shepher.

24And they journeyed from mount Shepher, and encamped in Haradah.

25And they journeyed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.

26And they journeyed from Makheloth, and encamped in Tahath.

27And they journeyed from Tahath, and encamped in Terah.

28And they journeyed from Terah, and encamped in Mithkah.

29And they journeyed from Mithkah, and encamped in Hashmonah.

30And they journeyed from Hashmonah, and encamped in Moseroth.

31And they journeyed from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene-jaakan.

32And they journeyed from Bene-jaakan, and encamped in Hor-haggidgad.

33And they journeyed from Hor-haggidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.

34And they journeyed from Jotbathah, and encamped in Abronah.

35And they journeyed from Abronah, and encamped in Ezion-geber.

36And they journeyed from Ezion-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin (the same is Kadesh).

37And they journeyed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

38And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.

39And Aaron was a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

40And the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who dwelt in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

41And they journeyed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.

42And they journeyed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.

43And they journeyed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.

44And they journeyed from Oboth, and encamped in Iye-abarim, in the border of Moab.

45And they journeyed from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad.

46And they journeyed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.

47And they journeyed from Almon-diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

48And they journeyed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

49And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

50And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

51Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

52then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places:

53and ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for unto you have I given the land to possess it.

54And ye shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer thou shalt give the less inheritance: wheresoever the lot falleth to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye inherit.

55But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

56And it shall come to pass, that, as I thought to do unto them, so will I do unto you.

1Đây là những chặng đường con cái Ít-ra-en đã qua, khi họ ra khỏi đất Ai-cập, theo đoàn quân của họ, dưới sự hướng dẫn của ông Mô-sê và ông A-ha-ron.

2Ông Mô-sê ghi lại những điểm khởi hành cho từng chặng đường, theo lệnh của ĐỨC CHÚA. Đây là những chặng đường của họ, dựa theo các điểm khởi hành.

3Họ rời Ram-xết lên đường vào tháng giêng, ngày rằm tháng giêng. Hôm sau lễ Vượt Qua, con cái Ít-ra-en ra đi ngang nhiên trước mắt toàn dân Ai-cập,

4trong khi dân Ai-cập lo chôn cất người nhà của chúng đã bị ĐỨC CHÚA đánh phạt, nghĩa là mọi con trai đầu lòng. ĐỨC CHÚA đã trừng phạt các thần của chúng.

5Con cái Ít-ra-en lên đường rời Ram-xết và đóng trại ở Xúc-cốt.

6Họ lên đường rời Xúc-cốt và đóng trại ở Ê-tham, ven sa mạc.

7Họ lên đường rời Ê-tham, nhưng quay trở lại phía Pi Ha-khi-rốt, đối diện với Ba-an Xơ-phôn, rồi đóng trại đằng trước Mích-đôn.

8Họ lên đường rời Pi Ha-khi-rốt, đi qua biển mà vào sa mạc ; họ đi ba ngày đường trong sa mạc Ê-tham, rồi đóng trại ở Ma-ra.

9Họ lên đường rời Ma-ra tới Ê-lim. Ở Ê-lim, có mười hai suối nước và bảy mươi cây chà là. Và họ đóng trại ở đó.

10Họ lên đường rời Ê-lim và đóng trại gần Biển Sậy.

11Họ lên đường rời Biển Sậy và đóng trại gần sa mạc Xin.

12Họ lên đường rời sa mạc Xin và đóng trại ở Đốp-ca.

13Họ lên đường rời Đốp-ca và đóng trại ở A-lút.

14Họ lên đường rời A-lút và đóng trại ở Rơ-phi-đim ; tại đó không có nước cho dân uống.

15Họ lên đường rời Rơ-phi-đim và đóng trại trong sa mạc Xi-nai.

16Họ lên đường rời sa mạc Xi-nai và đóng trại ở Kíp-rốt Ha Ta-a-va.

17Họ lên đường rời Kíp-rốt Ha Ta-a-va và đóng trại ở Kha-xê-rốt.

18Họ lên đường rời Kha-xê-rốt và đóng trại ở Rít-ma.

19Họ lên đường rời Rít-ma và đóng trại ở Rim-môn Pe-rét.

20Họ lên đường rời Rim-môn Pe-rét và đóng trại ở Líp-na.

21Họ lên đường rời Líp-na và đóng trại ở Rít-xa.

22Họ lên đường rời Rít-xa và đóng trại ở Cơ-hê-la-tha.

23Họ lên đường rời Cơ-hê-la-tha và đóng trại ở núi Se-phe.

24Họ lên đường rời núi Se-phe và đóng trại ở Kha-ra-đa.

25Họ lên đường rời Kha-ra-đa và đóng trại ở Mác-hê-lốt.

26Họ lên đường rời Mác-hê-lốt và đóng trại ở Ta-khát.

27Họ lên đường rời Ta-khát và đóng trại ở Te-rác.

28Họ lên đường rời Te-rác và đóng trại ở Mít-ca.

29Họ lên đường rời Mít-ca và đóng trại ở Khát-mô-na.

30Họ lên đường rời Khát-mô-na và đóng trại ở Mô-xê-rốt.

31Họ lên đường rời Mô-xê-rốt và đóng trại ở Bơ-nê Gia-a-can.

32Họ lên đường rời Bơ-nê Gia-a-can và đóng trại ở Kho Ha Ghít-gát.

33Họ lên đường rời Kho Ha Ghít-gát và đóng trại ở Giót-va-tha.

34Họ lên đường rời Giót-va-tha và đóng trại ở Áp-rô-na.

35Họ lên đường rời Áp-rô-na và đóng trại ở E-xi-ôn Ghe-ve.

36Họ lên đường rời E-xi-ôn Ghe-ve và đóng trại trong sa mạc Xin, nghĩa là Ca-đê.

37Họ lên đường rời Ca-đê và đóng trại ở núi Ho, cuối xứ Ê-đôm.

38Tư tế A-ha-ron lên núi Ho theo lệnh của ĐỨC CHÚA và qua đời ở đó, vào năm thứ bốn mươi sau khi con cái Ít-ra-en ra khỏi đất Ai-cập, ngày mồng một tháng năm.

39Ông A-ha-ron thọ được một trăm hai mươi ba tuổi, –khi ông qua đời ở núi Ho.

40Bấy giờ vua A-rát, người Ca-na-an, cư ngụ tại Ne-ghép trong xứ Ca-na-an, nghe tin con cái Ít-ra-en đến.

41Họ lên đường rời núi Ho và đóng trại ở Xan-mô-na.

42Họ lên đường rời Xan-mô-na và đóng trại ở Pu-nôn.

43Họ lên đường rời Pu-nôn và đóng trại ở Ô-vốt.

44Họ lên đường rời Ô-vốt và đóng trại ở I-giê Ha A-va-rim, giáp giới với Mô-áp.

45Họ lên đường rời I-gim và đóng trại ở Đi-vôn Gát.

46Họ lên đường rời Đi-vôn Gát và đóng trại ở An-môn Đíp-la-tha-gim.

47Họ lên đường rời An-môn Đíp-la-tha-gim và đóng trại ở dãy núi A-va-rim, đối diện với Nơ-vô.

48Họ lên đường rời dãy núi A-va-rim và đóng trại ở vùng thảo nguyên Mô-áp, gần sông Gio-đan, đối diện với Giê-ri-khô.

49Họ đóng trại gần sông Gio-đan, từ Bết Ha Giơ-si-mốt đến A-vên Ha Sít-tim, trong vùng thảo nguyên Mô-áp.

50ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê trong vùng thảo nguyên Mô-áp, gần sông Gio-đan, đối diện với Giê-ri-khô :

51Khi đi qua sông Gio-đan mà vào đất Ca-na-an,

52các ngươi sẽ đuổi mọi dân cư trong xứ cho khuất mắt các ngươi, và phá huỷ tất cả các hình ảnh, các tượng đúc của chúng, các ngươi sẽ tiêu huỷ mọi nơi cao của chúng.

53Các ngươi sẽ chiếm đất ấy và lập cư ở đó, vì Ta đã cho các ngươi đất ấy để chiếm hữu.

54Các ngươi sẽ bắt thăm để chia nhau đất ấy làm gia nghiệp, tuỳ theo các thị tộc của các ngươi : thị tộc nào đông người, các ngươi sẽ cho một phần đất lớn làm gia nghiệp ; thị tộc nào ít người hơn, các ngươi sẽ cho một phần đất nhỏ hơn làm gia nghiệp. Ai bắt thăm được nơi nào, thì sẽ ở tại đó. Các ngươi sẽ tính theo các chi tộc mà chia phần gia nghiệp.

55Nếu các ngươi không đuổi các dân cư trong xứ cho khuất mắt, thì những kẻ các ngươi để sót lại sẽ nên như gai chọc mắt, như mũi nhọn đâm sườn ; chúng sẽ quấy rối các ngươi trên đất các ngươi đến ở.

56Và bấy giờ, Ta sẽ đối xử với các ngươi như Ta đã định đối xử với chúng.”
