Revelation

1And I heard a great voice out of the sanctuary saying to the seven messengers, 'Go away, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God to the earth;'

2and the first did go away, and did pour out his vial upon the land, and there came a sore — bad and grievous — to men, those having the mark of the beast, and those bowing to his image.

3And the second messenger did pour out his vial to the sea, and there came blood as of [one] dead, and every living soul died in the sea.

4And the third messenger did pour out his vial to the rivers, and to the fountains of the waters, and there came blood,

5and I heard the messenger of the waters, saying, 'righteous, O Lord, art Thou, who art, and who wast, and who shalt be, because these things Thou didst judge,

6because blood of saints and prophets they did pour out, and blood to them Thou didst give to drink, for they are worthy;'

7and I heard another out of the altar, saying, 'Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous [are] Thy judgments.'

8And the fourth messenger did pour out his vial upon the sun, and there was given to him to scorch men with fire,

9and men were scorched with great heat, and they did speak evil of the name of God, who hath authority over these plagues, and they did not reform — to give to Him glory.

10And the fifth messenger did pour out his vial upon the throne of the beast, and his kingdom did become darkened, and they were gnawing their tongues from the pain,

11and they did speak evil of the God of the heaven, from their pains, and from their sores, and they did not reform from their works.

12And the sixth messenger did pour out his vial upon the great river, the Euphrates, and dried up was its water, that the way of the kings who are from the rising of the sun may be made ready;

13and I saw [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs —

14for they are spirits of demons, doing signs — which go forth unto the kings of the earth, and of the whole world, to bring them together to the battle of that great day of God the Almighty; —

15'lo, I do come as a thief; happy [is] he who is watching, and keeping his garments, that he may not walk naked, and they may see his unseemliness,' —

16and they did bring them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Armageddon.

17And the seventh messenger did pour out his vial to the air, and there came forth a great voice from the sanctuary of the heaven, from the throne, saying, 'It hath come!'

18and there came voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and a great earthquake came, such as came not since men came upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake — so great!

19And it came — the great city — into three parts, and the cities of the nations did fall, and Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the wrath of His anger,

20and every island did flee away, and mountains were not found,

21and great hail (as of talent weight) doth come down out of the heaven upon men, and men did speak evil of God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague is very great.

1Bấy giờ tôi nghe một tiếng lớn từ Đền Thờ bảo bảy thiên thần : “Hãy đi trút bảy chén lôi đình của Thiên Chúa xuống mặt đất.”

2Vị thứ nhất đi trút chén của mình xuống mặt đất. Những người mang dấu thích của Con Thú và thờ lạy tượng nó liền bị một ung nhọt ác tính và đau đớn.

3Vị thứ hai trút chén của mình xuống biển. Biển liền hoá ra máu như máu người chết, và mọi sinh vật dưới biển đều chết.

4Vị thứ ba trút chén của mình xuống sông ngòi và các nguồn nước. Nước liền hoá ra máu.

5Tôi nghe thiên thần có quyền trên nước nói : “Lạy Đức Thánh, Đấng hiện có và đã có, Ngài thật công minh vì đã xét xử như vậy.

6Chúng đã đổ máu dân thánh và các ngôn sứ, nên Ngài đã cho chúng uống máu : thật là đích đáng !”

7Tôi lại nghe bàn thờ nói : “Vâng, lạy Chúa là Thiên Chúa Toàn Năng, những lời Ngài phán quyết đều chân thật công minh !”

8Vị thứ tư trút chén của mình xuống mặt trời. Mặt trời liền được phép dùng lửa mà thiêu đốt người ta.

9Người ta bị khí nóng dữ dội thiêu đốt, họ nói phạm đến danh Thiên Chúa, Đấng có quyền trên các tai ương đó, nhưng họ không chịu hối cải mà tôn vinh Người.

10Vị thứ năm trút chén của mình xuống ngai Con Thú. Vương quốc của nó liền ra tối tăm ; người ta cắn lưỡi vì đau đớn ;

11họ nói phạm đến Thiên Chúa trên trời, vì quá đau đớn và bị ung nhọt, nhưng họ không chịu hối cải mà từ bỏ các việc mình làm.

12Vị thứ sáu trút chén của mình xuống sông cả Êu-phơ-rát. Nước sông ấy liền khô cạn, để dọn đường cho các vua từ phương đông tới.

13Bấy giờ từ miệng Con Mãng Xà, từ miệng Con Thú và từ miệng ngôn sứ giả, tôi thấy ba thần ô uế nhảy ra như những con ếch.

14Chúng quả là những thần khí của ma quỷ, chúng làm những dấu lạ và đi đến với vua chúa trên khắp cả thiên hạ, nhằm tập hợp họ lại để giao chiến trong ngày lớn lao của Thiên Chúa Toàn Năng. –

15“Đây, Ta đến như kẻ trộm. Phúc thay kẻ canh thức và giữ áo mình, kẻo phải đi đứng trần truồng và bị người ta nhìn thấy sự loã lồ của mình !”–

16Chúng quy tụ họ tại một nơi, tiếng Híp-ri gọi là Hác-mơ-ghít-đô.

17Vị thứ bảy trút chén của mình xuống không khí. Từ Đền Thờ, từ ngai liền có tiếng lớn phát ra : “Xong cả rồi !”

18Lúc ấy có ánh chớp, tiếng sấm tiếng sét và động đất lớn như chưa hề có động đất lớn như vậy bao giờ, từ khi con người xuất hiện trên mặt đất.

19Thành vĩ đại vỡ ra làm ba phần và các thành thị của các nước bị sụp đổ. Thiên Chúa đã nhớ đến thành Ba-by-lon vĩ đại mà cho nó uống chén rượu là cơn lôi đình thịnh nộ của Người.

20Mọi hải đảo biến đi, núi non không còn nữa.

21Những hạt mưa đá lớn, nặng chừng nửa tạ, từ trời giáng xuống người ta, và người ta nói phạm đến Thiên Chúa vì bị tai ương mưa đá, bởi lẽ tai ương đó lớn quá chừng.
