1And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was there a man having the hand withered,

2and they were watching him, whether on the sabbaths he will heal him, that they might accuse him.

3And he saith to the man having the hand withered, 'Rise up in the midst.'

4And he saith to them, 'Is it lawful on the sabbaths to do good, or to do evil? life to save, or to kill?' but they were silent.

5And having looked round upon them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their heart, he saith to the man, 'Stretch forth thy hand;' and he stretched forth, and his hand was restored whole as the other;

6and the Pharisees having gone forth, immediately, with the Herodians, were taking counsel against him how they might destroy him.

7And Jesus withdrew with his disciples unto the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judea,

8and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea and beyond the Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon — a great multitude — having heard how great things he was doing, came unto him.

9And he said to his disciples that a little boat may wait on him, because of the multitude, that they may not press upon him,

10for he did heal many, so that they threw themselves on him, in order to touch him — as many as had plagues;

11and the unclean spirits, when they were seeing him, were falling down before him, and were crying, saying — 'Thou art the Son of God;'

12and many times he was charging them that they might not make him manifest.

13And he goeth up to the mountain, and doth call near whom he willed, and they went away to him;

14and he appointed twelve, that they may be with him, and that he may send them forth to preach,

15and to have power to heal the sicknesses, and to cast out the demons.

16And he put on Simon the name Peter;

17and James of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, and he put on them names — Boanerges, that is, 'Sons of thunder;'

18and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Cananite,

19and Judas Iscariot, who did also deliver him up; and they come into a house.

20And come together again doth a multitude, so that they are not able even to eat bread;

21and his friends having heard, went forth to lay hold on him, for they said that he was beside himself,

22and the scribes who [are] from Jerusalem having come down, said — 'He hath Beelzeboul,' and — 'By the ruler of the demons he doth cast out the demons.'

23And, having called them near, in similes he said to them, 'How is the Adversary able to cast out the Adversary?

24and if a kingdom against itself be divided, that kingdom cannot be made to stand;

25and if a house against itself be divided, that house cannot be made to stand;

26and if the Adversary did rise against himself, and hath been divided, he cannot be made to stand, but hath an end.

27'No one is able the vessels of the strong man — having entered into his house — to spoil, if first he may not bind the strong man, and then his house he will spoil.

28'Verily I say to you, that all the sins shall be forgiven to the sons of men, and evil speakings with which they might speak evil,

29but whoever may speak evil in regard to the Holy Spirit hath not forgiveness — to the age, but is in danger of age-during judgment;'

30because they said, 'He hath an unclean spirit.'

31Then come do his brethren and mother, and standing without, they sent unto him, calling him,

32and a multitude was sitting about him, and they said to him, 'Lo, thy mother and thy brethren without do seek thee.'

33And he answered them, saying, 'Who is my mother, or my brethren?'

34And having looked round in a circle to those sitting about him, he saith, 'Lo, my mother and my brethren!

35for whoever may do the will of God, he is my brother, and my sister, and mother.'

1Lần khác, Đức Chúa Jêsus vào nhà hội, ở đó có một người nam teo bàn tay.

2Chúng rình xem thử Ngài có chữa người đó trong ngày Sa-bát chăng, đặng cáo Ngài.

3Ngài phán cùng người teo tay rằng: hãy dậy, đứng chính giữa đây.

4rồi Ngài hỏi họ rằng: trong ngày Sa-bát, nên làm việc lành hay việc dữ, cứu người hay giết người? Nhưng họ đều nín lặng.

5Bấy giờ, Ngài lấy mắt liếc họ, vừa giận vừa buồn vì lòng họ cứng cỏi, rồi phán cùng người nam rằng: hãy giơ tay ra. Người giơ ra, thì tay được lành.

6Các người Pha-ri-si đi ra, tức thì bàn luận với phe Hê-rốt nghịch cùng Ngài, đặng giết Ngài đi.

7Đức Chúa Jêsus cùng môn đồ Ngài lánh ra nơi bờ biển, có đoàn dân đông lắm từ xứ Ga-li-lê đến theo Ngài. Từ xứ Giu-đê,

8thành Giê-ru-sa-lem, xứ Y-đu-mê, xứ bên kia sông Giô-đanh, miền xung quanh thành Ty-rơ và thành Si-đôn cũng vậy, dân đông lắm, nghe nói mọi việc Ngài làm, thì đều đến cùng Ngài.

9Bởi cớ dân đông, nên Ngài biểu môn đồ sắm cho mình một chiếc thuyền nhỏ sẵn sàng, đặng cho khỏi bị chúng lấn ép Ngài quá.

10Vì Ngài đã chữa lành nhiều kẻ bịnh, nên nỗi ai nấy có bịnh chi cũng đều áp đến gần để rờ Ngài.

11Khi tà ma thấy Ngài, bèn sấp mình xuống nơi chân Ngài mà kêu lên rằng: Thầy là Con Đức Chúa Trời!

12Song Ngài nghiêm cấm chúng nó chớ tỏ cho ai biết mình.

13Kế đó, Đức Chúa Jêsus lên trên núi, đòi những người Ngài muốn, thì những người ấy đến kề Ngài.

14Ngài bèn lập mười hai người, gọi là sứ đồ, để ở cùng Ngài và sai đi giảng đạo,

15lại ban cho quyền phép đuổi quỉ.

16Nầy là mười hai sứ đồ Ngài đã lập: Si-môn, Ngài đặt tên là Phi-e-rơ;

17Gia-cơ con Xê-bê-đê, và Giăng em Gia-cơ, Ngài đặt tên hai người là Bô-a-nẹt, nghĩa là con trai của sấm sét;

18Anh-rê, Phi-líp, Ba-thê-lê-my, Ma-thi-ơ, Thô-ma, Gia-cơ con A-phê, Tha-đê, Si-môn người Ca-na-an,

19và Giu-đa ỗch-ca-ri-ốt, chính tên nầy đã phản Ngài.

20Đức Chúa Jêsus cùng môn đồ vào trong một cái nhà; đoàn dân lại nhóm họp tại đó, đến nỗi Ngài và môn đồ không ăn được.

21Những bạn hữu Ngài nghe vậy, bèn đến để cầm giữ Ngài; vì người ta nói Ngài đã mất trí khôn.

22Có các thầy thông giáo ở thành Giê-ru-sa-lem xuống, nói rằng: Người bị quỉ Bê-ên-xê-bun ám, và nhờờờờờờ chúa quỉ mà ttttttrừ quỉ.

23Song Đức Chúa Jêsus kêu họ đến, dùng lời thí dụ mà phán rằng: Sao quỉ Sa-tan đuổi được quỉ Sa-tan?

24Nếu một nước tự chia nhau, thì nước ấy không thể còn được;

25lại nếu một nhà tự chia nhau, thì nhà ấy không thể còn được.

26Vậy, nếu quỉ Sa-tan tự dấy lên nghịch cùng mình, tất nó bị chia xé ra, không thể còn được; song nó đã gần đến cùng rồi.

27Chẳng ai có thể vào nhà một người mạnh sức cướp lấy của người, mà trước hết không trói người lại; phải trói người lại, rồi mới cướp nhà người được.

28Quả thật, ta nói cùng các ngươi, mọi tội lỗi sẽ tha cho con cái loài người, và hết thảy những lời phạm thượng họ sẽ nói ra cũng vậy;

29nhưng ai sẽ nói phạm đến Đức Thánh Linh thì chẳng hề được tha, phải mắc tội đời đời.

30Ngài phán như vậy, vì họ nói rằng: Người bị tà ma ám.

31Mẹ và anh em Ngài đến, đứng ngoài sai kêu Ngài. Đoàn dân vẫn ngồi chung quanh Ngài.

32Có kẻ thưa rằng: Nầy, mẹ và anh em thầy ở ngoài kia đang tìm thầy.

33Song Ngài phán cùng họ rằng: Ai là mẹ ta, ai là anh em ta?

34Ngài lại đưa mắt liếc những kẻ ngồi chung quanh mình mà phán rằng: Kìa là mẹ ta và anh em ta!

35Ai làm theo ý muốn Đức Chúa Trời, nấy là anh em, chị em, và mẹ ta vậy.
