Matthew

1Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.

2Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it.

3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.

4For fear of him, the guards shook, and became like dead men.

5The angel answered the women, “Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified.

6He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.

7Go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.”

8They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.

9As they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying,“Rejoice!”They came and took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.

10Then Jesus said to them,“Don’t be afraid. Go tell my brothersthat they should go into Galilee, and there they will see me.”

11Now while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and told the chief priests all the things that had happened.

12When they were assembled with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers,

13saying, “Say that his disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept.

14If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry.”

15So they took the money and did as they were told. This saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continues until today.

16But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had sent them.

17When they saw him, they bowed down to him; but some doubted.

18Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying,“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

19Goand make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”Amen.

Sự Phục Sinh

1Sáng Chúa Nhật, trời mới rạng đông, Ma-ri Ma-đơ-len và Ma-ri, mẹ Gia-cơ đi thăm mộ Chúa.

2Thình lình, có trận động đất dữ dội! Một thiên sứ của Chúa từ trời giáng xuống, lăn tảng đá khỏi cửa mộ và ngồi lên trên.

3Mặt thiên sứ sáng như chớp nhoáng, áo trắng như tuyết.

4Bọn lính canh run rẩy khiếp sợ, trở nên bất động như xác chết.

5Thiên sứ bảo: “Đừng sợ, tôi biết các bà tìm Chúa Giê-xu, Đấng đã chịu đóng đinh trên cây thập tự.

6Nhưng Chúa không ở đây đâu, Ngài sống lại rồi đúng như lời Ngài nói. Hãy đến xem chỗ Chúa đã nằm

7và lập tức đi loan tin cho các môn đệ biết Chúa đã sống lại! Hiện nay Chúa đi trước lên xứ Ga-li-lê để gặp các môn đệ Ngài tại đó. Xin các bà ghi nhớ!”

8Họ vừa sợ vừa mừng, vội vàng ra khỏi mộ, chạy đi báo tin cho các môn đệ.

9Nhưng bất ngờ họ gặp Chúa Giê-xu. Thấy Ngài chào mừng, họ liền đến gần, ôm chân Chúa và thờ lạy Ngài.

10Chúa Giê-xu phán bảo họ: “Đừng sợ! Các con cứ đi báo tin mừng cho các anh chị em Ta để họ lên xứ Ga-li-lê họp mặt với Ta.”

Trình Báo của Lính Tuần Cảnh

11Trong khi các bà đi về, bọn lính canh cũng chạy về thành báo mọi việc cho các thầy trưởng tế.

12Họ họp kín với các trưởng lão rồi cho bọn lính thật nhiều tiền

13và dặn: “Các anh cứ phao tin rằng giữa đêm, các anh đang ngủ, bọn môn đệ đã lẻn vào lấy trộm xác Giê-xu.

14Nếu vụ này tới tai tổng trấn, chúng ta sẽ tìm cách giải thích để các anh khỏi bị liên lụy.”

15Bọn lính nhận tiền và làm theo chỉ thị. Đến ngày nay, giữa vòng người Do Thái, người ta vẫn còn nghe lời đồn đại đó.

Đại Mệnh Lệnh

16Mười một sứ đồ đến xứ Ga-li-lê, lên ngọn núi Chúa Giê-xu đã hẹn.

17Vừa thấy Chúa, họ đều quỳ xuống thờ lạy Ngài, nhưng một vài người còn nghi ngờ.

18Chúa Giê-xu đến gần các môn đệ, ân cần dặn bảo: “Tất cả uy quyền trên trời dưới đất đều giao về tay Ta.

19Vậy, các con hãy đi dìu dắt tất cả các dân tộc làm môn đệ Ta, làm báp-tem cho họ nhân danh Cha, Con, và Chúa Thánh Linh,

20và dạy họ vâng giữ mọi mệnh lệnh Ta! Chắc chắn Ta ở với các con luôn luôn, từ nay cho đến ngày tận thế.”
