Chúa Giê-xu Chữa Lành Bệnh Phong Hủi

1Khi Chúa Giê-xu xuống núi, có đoàn dân đông đi theo.

2Một người phong hủi đến gần, quỳ trước mặt Chúa, nài xin: “Nếu Chúa vui lòng, Chúa có thể chữa cho con được sạch.”

3Chúa Giê-xu đưa tay sờ người phong hủi và phán: “Ta sẵn lòng, lành bệnh đi!” Lập tức bệnh phong hủi biến mất.

4Chúa Giê-xu phán với anh: “Con đừng cho ai biết, nhưng cứ đến ngay thầy tế lễ xin khám bệnh và dâng lễ vật như luật pháp Môi-se ấn định, để chứng tỏ cho mọi người biết con được lành.”

Đức Tin của Viên Chức La Mã

5Khi Chúa vào thành Ca-bê-na-um, một viên đội trưởng La Mã đến cầu cứu:

6“Thưa Chúa, đầy tớ của tôi đang nằm bại liệt ở nhà, đau đớn lắm.”

7Chúa đáp: “Ta sẽ đến chữa lành cho anh ấy.”

8Viên đội trưởng thưa: “Chúa không phải đến, vì tôi không xứng đáng rước Chúa về nhà, Chúa chỉ truyền lệnh từ đây, đầy tớ tôi sẽ được lành.

9Tôi biết rõ, vì tôi thuộc quyền các cấp chỉ huy, và dưới quyền tôi cũng có nhiều binh sĩ. Tôi bảo tên này ‘Đi,’ nó đi, bảo tên kia ‘Đến,’ nó đến. Tôi sai đầy tớ tôi ‘Hãy làm việc này,’ nó liền vâng lời. Vậy Chúa chỉ cần ra lệnh, đầy tớ tôi sẽ được lành.”

10Khi Chúa Giê-xu nghe điều đó, Ngài ngạc nhiên quay lại với những người theo Ngài, Ngài phán: “Thật, trong cả xứ Ít-ra-ên, Ta cũng chưa thấy ai có đức tin như người này!

11Ta cho anh chị em biết, sẽ có nhiều dân ngoại từ các nơi trên thế giới đến dự tiệc trên Nước Trời với Áp-ra-ham, Y-sác, và Gia-cốp.

12Trong khi đó, nhiều người Ít-ra-ên được gọi là ‘con dân Nước Trời’ lại bị ném ra chỗ tối tăm, là nơi đầy tiếng than khóc và nghiến răng.”

13Chúa Giê-xu nói với viên đội trưởng: “Ông cứ an tâm về nhà! Việc sẽ xảy ra đúng như điều ông tin.” Ngay giờ đó, người đầy tớ được lành.

Chúa Chữa Lành Nhiều Người Bệnh

14Chúa Giê-xu vào nhà Phi-e-rơ, bà gia Phi-e-rơ đang sốt nặng, nằm trên giường bệnh.

15Khi Chúa Giê-xu nắm tay bà, cơn sốt liền dứt. Bà đứng dậy phục vụ Chúa.

16Tối hôm ấy, người ta đem nhiều người bị quỷ ám đến gặp Chúa Giê-xu. Chúa chỉ quở một lời, các quỷ liền ra khỏi. Ngài cũng chữa lành mọi người bệnh tại đó.

17Đúng như Tiên tri Y-sai đã viết:“Người đã mang tật nguyền của chúng ta,gánh bệnh hoạn thay chúng ta.”

Giá của Sự Theo Chúa Giê-xu

18Thấy đoàn dân đứng chung quanh quá đông, Chúa Giê-xu bảo các môn đệ sửa soạn vượt biển sang bờ bên kia.

19Một thầy dạy luật đến thưa Chúa: “Thưa Thầy, dù Thầy đi đâu, tôi cũng xin theo!”

20Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Con cáo có hang, chim trời có tổ, nhưng Con Người không có chỗ gối đầu!”

21Một môn đệ tỏ vẻ do dự: “Thưa Chúa, đợi khi nào cha con mất, con sẽ theo Chúa.”

22Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Con cứ theo Ta ngay. Để những người chết phần tâm linh lo mai táng người chết của họ.”

Chúa Giê-xu Dẹp Yên Trận Bão

23Chúa Giê-xu và các môn đệ xuống thuyền, vượt biển qua bờ bên kia.

24Thình lình có trận bão nổi lên, sóng tràn ập vào thuyền. Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu đang ngủ.

25Các môn đệ đến đánh thức Ngài, hớt hải thưa: “Chúa ơi, xin cứu chúng con, chúng con chết mất!”

26Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Sao các con sợ hãi thế? Đức tin các con thật kém cỏi!” Rồi Ngài đứng dậy quở gió và biển, lập tức biển lặng gió yên.

27Các môn đệ kinh ngạc hỏi nhau: “Người là ai mà đến gió và biển cũng phải vâng lời?”

Chúa Giê-xu Chữa Lành Hai Người bị Quỷ Ám

28Qua đến bờ biển vùng Ga-đa-ren, có hai người bị quỷ ám đến gặp Chúa. Họ sống ngoài nghĩa địa, hung dữ đến nỗi chẳng ai dám đi ngang qua đó.

29Họ kêu la: “Con Đức Chúa Trời! Ngài đến đây làm gì? Ngài đến hình phạt chúng tôi trước thời hạn của Chúa sao?”

30Gần đó có bầy heo đông đang ăn.

31Bọn quỷ nài nỉ: “Nếu Ngài đuổi chúng tôi, xin cho chúng tôi nhập vào bầy heo.”

32Chúa ra lệnh: “Đi ra!” Chúng ra khỏi hai người, nhập vào bầy heo. Cả bầy heo liền lao đầu qua bờ đá, rơi xuống biển, chết chìm dưới nước.

33Bọn chăn heo chạy vào thành báo lại mọi việc, kể cả việc xảy ra cho các người bị quỷ ám.

34Mọi người trong thành kéo ra xem Chúa Giê-xu. Khi nhìn thấy Chúa, họ nài xin Ngài đi nơi khác.

1When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

2And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

3And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying,I will; be thou clean.And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4And Jesus saith unto him,See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

5¶ And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

6And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

7And Jesus saith unto him,I will come and heal him.

8The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

9For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

10When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed,Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

11And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

12But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

13And Jesus said unto the centurion,Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

14¶ And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.

15And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

16¶ When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

18¶ Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.

19And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

20And Jesus saith unto him,The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

21And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

22But Jesus said unto him,Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

23¶ And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

24And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

25And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26And he saith unto them,Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

28¶ And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

30And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.

31So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

32And he said unto them,Go.And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

33And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.

34And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.
