Tránh Kiện Cáo với Cơ Đốc Nhân

1Khi anh chị em tín hữu có việc tranh chấp với nhau, sao không để Hội Thánh phân xử, lại đưa nhau ra tòa cho người chưa tin Chúa xét xử?

2Anh chị em không biết Hội Thánh sẽ xét xử thế gian sao? Đã có quyền xét xử thế gian lẽ nào anh chị em không thể xét xử những việc nhỏ nhặt?

3Anh chị em không biết chúng ta sẽ xét xử các thiên sứ sao? Huống hồ việc đời này!

4Khi có việc tranh chấp như thế, sao anh chị em nhờ người ngoài phân xử?

5Thật xấu hổ! Trong anh chị em không có người nào đủ khôn ngoan phân xử giúp tín hữu sao?

6Anh chị em kiện cáo nhau rồi lại đem ra cho người không tin Chúa phân xử!

7Kiện cáo nhau đã là sai rồi. Chịu phần bất công có hơn không? Chịu lường gạt có hơn không?

8Thế mà anh chị em làm quấy và lường gạt ngay chính anh chị em mình.

9Anh chị em không biết người gian ác chẳng được vào Vương Quốc của Đức Chúa Trời sao? Đừng tự lừa dối mình. Những người gian dâm, thờ thần tượng, ngoại tình, tình dục đồng giới,

10hoặc người trộm cắp, tham lam, nghiện rượu, chửi rủa, bóc lột, không bao giờ được vào Vương Quốc của Đức Chúa Trời.

11Trước kia, trong anh chị em có người sống như thế. Nhưng anh chị em đã được rửa sạch tội lỗi, được thánh hóa và kể là công chính nhờ Danh Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu và Thánh Linh của Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta.

Khuyên Tránh Sự Gian Dâm

12Anh chị em nói: “Mọi việc tôi đều được phép làm”—nhưng không phải mọi việc đều có ích cho anh chị em. Hay dù: “Tôi được phép làm mọi việc,” nhưng tôi không làm nô lệ cho bất cứ việc gì.

13Anh chị em nói: “Thức ăn dành cho dạ dày, dạ dày dành cho thức ăn.” (Đúng vậy, nhưng Đức Chúa Trời sẽ hủy hoại cả hai). Anh chị em không thể nói thân thể dành cho việc gian dâm. Chúng được dành cho Chúa, và Chúa là Chủ của thân thể.

14Đức Chúa Trời đã khiến Chúa chúng ta sống lại, Ngài cũng sẽ khiến chúng ta sống lại bởi quyền năng Ngài.

15Anh chị em không biết thân thể chúng ta là chi thể của Chúa Cứu Thế sao? Không lẽ chúng ta khiến chi thể của Chúa thành chi thể của gái mãi dâm sao? Không bao giờ!

16Anh chị em không biết ai kết hợp với gái mãi dâm sẽ trở nên một thân thể với nó sao? Vì Kinh Thánh dạy: “Hai người sẽ thành một thân.”

17Còn ai liên hiệp với Chúa sẽ có một tâm linh với Ngài.

18Hãy tránh gian dâm! Tội nào cũng còn ở ngoài thân thể, nhưng gian dâm là phạm ngay vào thân thể mình.

19Anh chị em không biết thân thể anh chị em là đền thờ của Chúa Thánh Linh và Ngài đang sống trong anh chị em sao? Đức Chúa Trời đã ban Chúa Thánh Linh cho anh chị em nên anh chị em không còn thuộc về chính mình nữa.

20Anh chị em đã được Đức Chúa Trời chuộc với giá rất cao nên hãy dùng thân thể tôn vinh Ngài.

1Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

2Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

4If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

5I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

6But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

7Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

8Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

12All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

13Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

14And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

15Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

16What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

17But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
