Numbers

1And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2'Command the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye are coming in unto the land of Canaan — this [is] the land which falleth to you by inheritance, the land of Canaan, by its borders —

3then hath the south quarter been to you from the wilderness of Zin, by the sides of Edom, yea, the south border hath been to you from the extremity of the Salt Sea, eastward;

4and the border hath turned round to you from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and hath passed on to Zin, and its outgoings have been from the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and it hath gone out at Hazar-Addar, and hath passed on to Azmon;

5and the border hath turned round from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and its outgoings have been at the sea.

6'As to the west border, even the great sea hath been to you a border; this is to you the west border.

7'And this is to you the north border: from the great sea ye mark out for yourselves mount Hor;

8from mount Hor ye mark out to go in to Hamath, and the outgoings of the border have been to Zedad;

9and the border hath gone out to Ziphron, and its outgoings have been at Hazar-Enan; this is to you the north border.

10'And ye have marked out for yourselves for the border eastward, from Hazar-Enan to Shepham;

11and the border hath gone down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east of Ain, and the border hath gone down, and hath smitten against the shoulder of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;

12and the border hath gone down to the Jordan, and its outgoings have been at the Salt Sea; this is for you the land by its borders round about.'

13And Moses commandeth the sons of Israel, saying, 'This [is] the land which ye inherit by lot, which Jehovah hath commanded to give to the nine tribes and the half of the tribe;

14for the tribe of the sons of Reuben have received, by the house of their fathers; and the tribe of the children of Gad, by the house of their fathers; and the half of the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance;

15the two tribes and the half of the tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan, [near] Jericho, eastward, at the [sun] -rising.'

16And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

17'These [are] the names of the men who give to you the inheritance of the land: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua son of Nun,

18and one prince — one prince — for a tribe ye do take to give the land by inheritance.

19'And these [are] the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

20and of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Aminihud;

21of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

22and of the tribe of the sons of Dan, the prince Bukki son of Jogli;

23of the sons of Joseph, of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, the prince Hanniel son of Ephod;

24and of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, the prince Kemuel son of Shiphtan;

25and of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, the prince Elizaphan son of Parnach;

26and of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, the prince Paltiel son of Azzan;

27and of the tribe of the sons of Asher, the prince Ahihud son of Shelomi;

28and of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, the prince Pedahel son of Ammihud.'

29These [are] those whom Jehovah hath commanded to give the sons of Israel inheritance in the land of Canaan.

1ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê :

2“Hãy ra lệnh cho con cái Ít-ra-en và bảo chúng : Khi anh em vào đất Ca-na-an, thì phần đất rơi vào tay anh em làm gia nghiệp, chính là đất Ca-na-an với các biên giới như sau :

3Phía nam, đất của anh em sẽ bắt đầu từ sa mạc Xin, giáp giới Ê-đôm. Ranh giới phía nam sẽ khởi sự từ cuối Biển Muối, ở mạn đông.

4Rồi ranh giới đó sẽ vòng xuống phía nam, lên dốc Ác-ráp-bim, đi qua Xin, đến phía nam Ca-đê Bác-nê-a, rồi lại tiến về Kha-xa Át-đa và đi qua Át-môn ;

5sau đó, từ Át-môn, ranh giới vòng xuống Suối Ai-cập để đi ra Biển.

6Phía tây, anh em sẽ có Biển Lớn làm ranh giới. Đó sẽ là ranh giới phía tây của anh em.

7Và đây là ranh giới phía bắc : từ Biển Lớn, anh em sẽ vạch một đường lên núi Ho ;

8rồi từ núi Ho, anh em sẽ vạch một đường đến Cửa Ải Kha-mát. Ranh giới sẽ đi đến Xơ-đát,

9rồi chạy tiếp đến Díp-rôn và đi tới Kha-xa Ê-nan. Đó sẽ là ranh giới phía bắc của anh em.

10Sau đó, anh em sẽ vạch một đường làm ranh giới phía đông từ Kha-xa Ê-nan đến Sơ-pham.

11Từ Sơ-pham, ranh giới đó sẽ đi xuống Ríp-la, ở phía đông A-gin. Đi xuống nữa, ranh giới đó sẽ tiếp giáp với các đồi phía đông biển hồ Kin-ne-rét ;

12rồi đi xuống theo dọc sông Gio-đan và đi tới Biển Muối. Đó sẽ là đất của anh em với các ranh giới chung quanh.”

13Ông Mô-sê ra lệnh cho con cái Ít-ra-en : “Đó là đất mà anh em sẽ bắt thăm để chia nhau làm gia nghiệp, đất mà ĐỨC CHÚA đã truyền phải ban cho chín chi tộc và một nửa chi tộc.

14Vì chi tộc con cái ông Rưu-vên, theo số các gia tộc của họ, chi tộc con cái Gát, theo số các gia tộc của họ đã lãnh phần gia nghiệp của họ rồi, và nửa chi tộc Mơ-na-se cũng đã lãnh phần gia nghiệp của họ.

15Hai chi tộc và một nửa chi tộc này đã lãnh phần gia nghiệp của họ bên kia sông Gio-đan, đối diện với Giê-ri-khô, phía đông, phía mặt trời mọc.”

16ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê :

17“Đây là tên những người sẽ chia đất cho các ngươi làm gia nghiệp ; tư tế E-la-da và Giô-suê, con của Nun.

18Các ngươi sẽ lấy thêm một đầu mục, mỗi chi tộc một người, để phụ trách việc chia đất làm gia nghiệp.

19Chi tộc Giu-đa có Ca-lếp, con của Giơ-phun-ne ;

20chi tộc con cái Si-mê-ôn, có Sơ-mu-ên, con của Am-mi-hút ;

21chi tộc Ben-gia-min có Ê-li-đát, con của Kít-lôn ;

22chi tộc con cái Đan, có đầu mục Búc-ki, con của Gioóc-li ;

23về con cái Giu-se, chi tộc con cái Mơ-na-se, có đầu mục Khan-ni-ên, con của Ê-phốt ;

24chi tộc con cái Ép-ra-im, có đầu mục Cơ-mu-ên, con của Síp-tan ;

25chi tộc con cái Dơ-vu-lun, có đầu mục Ê-li-xa-phan, con của Pác-nác ;

26chi tộc con cái Ít-xa-kha, có đầu mục Pan-ti-ên, con của Át-dan ;

27chi tộc con cái A-se, có đầu mục A-khi-hút, con của Sơ-lô-mi ;

28chi tộc con cái Náp-ta-li, có đầu mục Pơ-đa-ên, con của Am-mi-hút.”

29Đó là những người ĐỨC CHÚA đã truyền lệnh phải chia cho con cái Ít-ra-en các phần gia nghiệp trong đất Ca-na-an.
