Ezekiel

1The LORD’s word came to me, saying,

2“Son of man, set your face towards the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them.

3Tell the children of Ammon, ‘Hear the word of the Lord GOD! The Lord GOD says, “Because you said, ‘Aha!’ against my sanctuary when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and against the house of Judah when they went into captivity,

4therefore, behold, I will deliver you to the children of the east for a possession. They will set their encampments in you and make their dwellings in you. They will eat your fruit and they will drink your milk.

5I will make Rabbah a stable for camels and the children of Ammon a resting place for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”

6For the Lord GOD says: “Because you have clapped your hands, stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the contempt of your soul against the land of Israel,

7therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand on you, and will deliver you for a plunder to the nations. I will cut you off from the peoples, and I will cause you to perish out of the countries. I will destroy you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”

8“‘The Lord GOD says: “Because Moab and Seir say, ‘Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations,’

9therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on its frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kiriathaim,

10to the children of the east, to go against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered amongst the nations.

11I will execute judgements on Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

12“‘The Lord GOD says: “Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and taken revenge on them,”

13therefore the Lord GOD says, “I will stretch out my hand on Edom, and will cut off man and animal from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman. They will fall by the sword even to Dedan.

14I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel. They will do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath. Then they will know my vengeance,” says the Lord GOD.

15“‘The Lord GOD says: “Because the Philistines have taken revenge, and have taken vengeance with contempt of soul to destroy with perpetual hostility,”

16therefore the Lord GOD says, “Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

17I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful rebukes. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay my vengeance on them.”’”

1Có lời ĐỨC CHÚA phán với tôi rằng :

2Hỡi con người, hãy quay mặt về phía con cái Am-mon mà tuyên sấm hạch tội chúng.

3Vì ngươi đã nói “A ha !” về thánh điện của Ta, khi nó bị xúc phạm, về đất Ít-ra-en khi nó bị tàn phá, và về nhà Giu-đa khi chúng phải đi đày,

4nên Ta sẽ trao ngươi cho con cái Phương Đông làm sở hữu ; chúng sẽ lập trại và dựng nhà của chúng ở giữa ngươi. Chính chúng sẽ hưởng dùng hoa trái, sẽ uống sữa của ngươi.

5Ta sẽ biến Ráp-ba thành đồng cỏ nuôi lạc đà và xứ sở của con cái Am-mon thành chuồng giữ chiên dê ; bấy giờ các ngươi sẽ nhận biết chính Ta là ĐỨC CHÚA.

6Vì ngươi đã đập tay, giậm chân, đã vui mừng, lòng đầy khinh bỉ đối với đất Ít-ra-en,

7nên Ta sẽ dang tay trừng phạt ngươi, sẽ để cho các dân tộc cướp phá, sẽ loại bỏ ngươi khỏi chư dân, sẽ xoá tên ngươi khỏi các nước và huỷ diệt ngươi ; bấy giờ, ngươi sẽ nhận biết chính Ta là ĐỨC CHÚA.

8Vì Mô-áp và Xê-ia đã nói : “Nhà Giu-đa nào có khác gì chư dân”,

9nên Ta sẽ làm cho mọi thành trên các triền đồi Mô-áp hoàn toàn biến dạng ; Bết Ha Giơ-si-mốt, Ba-an Mơ-ôn và Kia-gia-tha-gim không còn là những thành huy hoàng của xứ sở nữa.

10Ta sẽ trao các thành ấy cùng với con cái Am-mon cho con cái Phương Đông làm sở hữu, khiến chẳng còn ai trong các dân tộc nhớ đến con cái Am-mon nữa.

11Ta sẽ thi hành án phạt Mô-áp ; bấy giờ chúng sẽ nhận biết chính Ta là ĐỨC CHÚA.

12Vì cách xử sự của Ê-đôm khi báo oán nhà Giu-đa, và vì những sai lỗi nặng nề khi báo oán nhà ấy,

13nên Chúa Thượng là ĐỨC CHÚA phán như sau : Ta sẽ dang tay trừng phạt Ê-đôm, sẽ diệt trừ người cũng như súc vật khỏi xứ, sẽ làm cho Ê-đôm ra hoang tàn ; từ Tê-man tới Đơ-đan, người ta sẽ phải ngã gục vì gươm.

14Ta quyết định dùng tay dân Ta là Ít-ra-en để báo oán Ê-đôm ; dân ấy sẽ xử với Ê-đôm theo cơn lôi đình thịnh nộ của Ta ; bấy giờ chúng sẽ nhận biết sự báo oán của Ta, – sấm ngôn của Chúa Thượng là ĐỨC CHÚA.

15Vì dân Phi-li-tinh đã hành động do lòng thù oán và vì chúng đã báo oán do mối thù thiên thu, lòng đầy khinh bỉ, nhằm tận diệt,

16nên Chúa Thượng là ĐỨC CHÚA phán thế này : Ta sẽ dang tay trừng phạt dân Phi-li-tinh ; Ta sẽ loại trừ những người Cơ-rê-thi và tiêu diệt số dân cư miền duyên hải còn sót lại.

17Ta sẽ giáng xuống trên chúng những hình phạt hết sức nặng nề để báo oán ; bấy giờ, khi Ta thi hành sự báo oán, chúng sẽ nhận biết chính Ta là ĐỨC CHÚA.
