Ezekiel

1The LORD’s word came to me, saying,

2“Son of man, set your face towards Jerusalem, and preach towards the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Israel.

3Tell the land of Israel, ‘The LORD says: “Behold, I am against you, and will draw my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked.

4Seeing then that I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore my sword will go out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north.

5All flesh will know that I, the LORD, have drawn my sword out of its sheath. It will not return any more.”’

6“Therefore sigh, you son of man. You shall sigh before their eyes with a broken heartand with bitterness.

7It shall be, when they ask you, ‘Why do you sigh?’ that you shall say, ‘Because of the news, for it comes! Every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it comes, and it shall be done, says the Lord GOD.’”

8The LORD’s word came to me, saying,

9“Son of man, prophesy, and say, ‘The LORD says:“A sword! A sword!It is sharpened, and also polished.

10It is sharpened that it may make a slaughter.It is polished that it may be as lightning.Should we then make mirth?The rod of my son condemns every tree.

11It is given to be polished,that it may be handled.The sword is sharpened.Yes, it is polished to give it into the hand of the killer.”’

12Cry and wail, son of man;for it is on my people. It is on all the princes of Israel.They are delivered over to the sword with my people.Therefore beat your thigh.

13“For there is a trial. What if even the rod that condemns will be no more?” says the Lord GOD.

14“You therefore, son of man, prophesy,and strike your hands together.Let the sword be doubled the third time,the sword of the fatally wounded.It is the sword of the great one who is fatally wounded,which enters into their rooms.

15I have set the threatening sword against all their gates,that their heart may melt, and their stumblings be multiplied.Ah! It is made as lightning.It is pointed for slaughter.

16Gather yourselves together.Go to the right.Set yourselves in array.Go to the left, wherever your face is set.

17I will also strike my hands together,and I will cause my wrath to rest. I, the LORD, have spoken it.”

18The LORD’s word came to me again, saying,

19“Also, you son of man, appoint two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come. They both will come out of one land, and mark out a place. Mark it out at the head of the way to the city.

20You shall appoint a way for the sword to come to Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and to Judah in Jerusalem the fortified.

21For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination. He shook the arrows back and forth. He consulted the teraphim.He looked in the liver.

22In his right hand was the lot for Jerusalem, to set battering rams, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, to cast up mounds, and to build forts.

23It will be to them as a false divination in their sight, who have sworn oaths to them; but he brings iniquity to memory, that they may be taken.

24“Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you have caused your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear; because you have come to memory, you will be taken with the hand.

25“‘You, deadly wounded wicked one, the prince of Israel, whose day has come, in the time of the iniquity of the end,

26the Lord GOD says: “Remove the turban, and take off the crown. This will not be as it was. Exalt that which is low, and humble that which is high.

27I will overturn, overturn, overturn it. This also will be no more, until he comes whose right it is; and I will give it.”’

28“You, son of man, prophesy and say, ‘The Lord GOD says this concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach:“A sword! A sword is drawn!It is polished for the slaughter,to cause it to devour,that it may be as lightning;

29while they see for you false visions,while they divine lies to you,to lay you on the necks of the wicked who are deadly wounded,whose day has come in the time of the iniquity of the end.

30Cause it to return into its sheath.In the place where you were created, in the land of your birth, I will judge you.

31I will pour out my indignation on you.I will blow on you with the fire of my wrath.I will deliver you into the hand of brutish men,skilful to destroy.

32You will be for fuel to the fire.Your blood will be in the middle of the land.You will be remembered no more;for I, the LORD, have spoken it.”’”

2Hỡi con người, hãy quay mặt hướng về phía nam, hãy nói tiên tri hạch tội phương nam và tuyên sấm hạch tội khu rừng trong đồng bằng Ne-ghép.

3Ngươi sẽ nói với rừng Ne-ghép : Hãy nghe lời ĐỨC CHÚA, ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán như sau : Này Ta sắp nhóm lên một ngọn lửa ở nơi ngươi ; lửa ấy sẽ thiêu rụi tất cả cây xanh tươi cũng như cây khô héo nơi ngươi. Ngọn lửa cháy rực sẽ không tắt ; mọi khuôn mặt đều bị cháy sém, từ nam chí bắc.

4Mọi xác phàm sẽ thấy rằng, chính Ta, ĐỨC CHÚA, Ta đã nhóm ngọn lửa ấy và nó sẽ không tắt.

5Và tôi thưa : Ôi, lạy ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng, chúng nói về con : “Ông ấy không phải là người làm ra các câu châm ngôn đó sao ?”

6Có lời ĐỨC CHÚA phán với tôi rằng :

7Hỡi con người, hãy quay mặt về phía Giê-ru-sa-lem, hãy nói tiên tri hạch tội các thánh điện, hãy tuyên sấm hạch tội đất Ít-ra-en.

8Ngươi sẽ nói với đất Ít-ra-en : ĐỨC CHÚA phán như sau : Này Ta trừng phạt ngươi. Ta sẽ rút gươm ra khỏi bao và sẽ tiêu diệt người công chính lẫn kẻ gian tà cho biệt tăm.

9Bởi vì Ta tiêu diệt người công chính lẫn kẻ gian tà cho khuất dạng, nên gươm của Ta sẽ rút ra khỏi bao để trừng phạt mọi xác phàm, từ nam chí bắc.

10Bấy giờ, mọi xác phàm sẽ nhận biết rằng chính Ta, ĐỨC CHÚA, Ta đã rút gươm khỏi bao và nó sẽ không chui vào bao nữa.

11Còn ngươi, hỡi con người, tâm hồn tan nát, ngươi hãy rên rỉ, lòng tràn ngập đắng cay, ngươi hãy rên rỉ trước mắt chúng.

12Khi chúng nói với ngươi : “Sao ông rên rỉ ?” Ngươi sẽ nói : “Vì chuyện sắp xảy ra khiến cho mọi tâm hồn sẽ tan nát, mọi bàn tay rã rời, mọi tinh thần suy sụp, mọi đầu gối run lẩy bẩy. Này chuyện đó sắp xảy ra và đang thành sự thật, – sấm ngôn của ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng.

13Có lời ĐỨC CHÚA phán với tôi rằng :

14gươm đã mài, đã liếc,

15liếc để phóng ra những tia chớp.

16để trao vào tay kẻ sát hại.

17Vì thế, người hãy đấm ngực.

18là Chúa Thượng.

19đe doạ khắp chung quanh,

20được liếc để sát hại.

21tại khắp nơi ngươi phải đương đầu.

22chính Ta đã phán.

23Có lời ĐỨC CHÚA phán với tôi rằng :

24Phần ngươi, hỡi con người, hãy vạch hai con đường cho gươm của vua Ba-by-lon đến. Hai con đường ấy đều phát xuất từ cùng một xứ. Tại mỗi đầu đường, ngươi hãy đặt bảng chỉ lối vào thành.

25Ngươi sẽ vạch một con đường để cho lưỡi gươm đến đánh Ráp-ba của con cái Am-mon và đánh xứ Giu-đa có pháo đài tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.

26Vì vua Ba-by-lon dừng lại ở ngã ba, tại nơi phát xuất hai con đường để bói quẻ. Vua lắc tên, thỉnh ý các tượng thần, quan sát lá gan.

27Trong tay phải vua là quẻ bói về Giê-ru-sa-lem, bảo phải đặt chiến cụ, ra lệnh tàn sát, cất tiếng hò la xung trận, đặt chiến cụ trước các cổng thành, đắp ụ và xây chiến luỹ.

28Trước mắt dân chúng Giê-ru-sa-lem, đó chỉ là quẻ bói vô hiệu. Người ta đã long trọng thề là sẽ bảo vệ chúng. Nhưng quẻ bói ấy làm cho chúng nhớ lại các tội đã phạm khiến chúng sẽ bị bắt.

29Bởi thế, ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán thế này : Vì các ngươi nhớ lại các tội đã phạm, khi tội phản nghịch của các ngươi bị lột trần, để các ngươi nhìn rõ tội lỗi mình trong mọi hành động, và vì người ta nhớ đến tội các ngươi, nên các ngươi sẽ bị bắt.

30Còn ngươi, hỡi ông hoàng tội lỗi và gian ác của Ít-ra-en, ngày đời của ngươi sẽ đến, khi tội lỗi tới mức cuối cùng.

31ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán : mũ tế sẽ bị lột, vương miện sẽ bị tước. Mọi sự đều thay đổi : cái thấp được nâng cao, cái cao bị hạ thấp.

32Đổ nát, đổ nát, đổ nát, Ta sẽ làm như vậy ; điều ấy chưa bao giờ xảy ra cho đến khi xuất hiện người được Ta trao quyền xét xử.

33Còn ngươi, hỡi con người, hãy tuyên sấm. Ngươi sẽ nói : ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán như sau về con cái Am-mon và về những lời nhạo báng của chúng. Ngươi sẽ nói : Gươm đây, gươm tuốt trần để tàn sát, được liếc để nuốt trửng, để phóng ra những tia chớp.

34Đang lúc người ta cho ngươi thấy những thị kiến vô hiệu và nghe những lời sấm dối trá, thì gươm sẽ lướt trên cổ những kẻ tội lỗi gian ác, mà ngày đời của chúng sẽ đến, khi tội lỗi tới mức cuối cùng.

35Hãy xỏ gươm vào bao. Ta sẽ xét xử ngươi tại chỗ ngươi được tạo dựng, tại xứ ngươi được sinh ra.

36Ta sẽ trút cơn giận của Ta xuống trên ngươi, sẽ thổi cơn thịnh nộ phừng phừng như lửa trên ngươi, sẽ trao ngươi vào tay những kẻ ngu đần, là những tên đồ tể.

37Ngươi sẽ làm mồi cho lửa ; máu của ngươi sẽ đổ ra giữa xứ sở ; không còn ai nhớ đến ngươi, vì chính Ta là ĐỨC CHÚA, Ta đã phán.
