Deuteronomy

1Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is opposite Jericho. The LORD showed him all the land of Gilead to Dan,

2and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the Western Sea,

3and the south,and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar.

4The LORD said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”

5So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the LORD’s word.

6He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth Peor, but no man knows where his tomb is to this day.

7Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eye was not dim, nor his strength gone.

8The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.

9Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The children of Israel listened to him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

10Since then, there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,

11in all the signs and the wonders which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,

12and in all the mighty hand, and in all the awesome deeds, which Moses did in the sight of all Israel.

1Từ đồng bằng Mô-áp, ông Mô-sê lên núi Nơ-vô, tới Pít-ga, đối diện với Giê-ri-khô, và ĐỨC CHÚA cho ông xem thấy tất cả miền đất : miền Ga-la-át cho đến Đan,

2tất cả Náp-ta-li, miền đất Ép-ra-im và Mơ-na-se, tất cả miền đất Giu-đa cho đến Biển Tây,

3miền Ne-ghép, vùng sông Gio-đan, thung lũng Giê-ri-khô là thành Chà Là, cho đến Xô-a.

4ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông : “Đây là miền đất Ta đã thề hứa với Áp-ra-ham, I-xa-ác và Gia-cóp, khi nói : ‘Ta sẽ ban đất ấy cho dòng dõi ngươi.’ Ta đã cho ngươi thấy tận mắt, nhưng ngươi sẽ không được qua đó.”

5Ông Mô-sê, tôi trung của ĐỨC CHÚA, qua đời tại đó, trong đất Mô-áp, theo lệnh ĐỨC CHÚA.

6Ông được mai táng trong thung lũng, ở miền đất Mô-áp, đối diện với Bết Pơ-o. Cho đến ngày hôm nay, không ai biết mộ ông ở đâu.

7Khi chết, ông Mô-sê thọ một trăm hai mươi tuổi, mắt không mờ, khí lực không giảm.

8Con cái Ít-ra-en khóc ông Mô-sê trong đồng bằng Mô-áp ba mươi ngày ; rồi những ngày than khóc thọ tang ông Mô-sê chấm dứt.

9Ông Giô-suê, con ông Nun, đã được đầy thần khí khôn ngoan, vì ông Mô-sê đã đặt tay trên ông. Con cái Ít-ra-en nghe ông và làm như ĐỨC CHÚA đã truyền cho ông Mô-sê.

10Trong Ít-ra-en, không còn xuất hiện một ngôn sứ nào như ông Mô-sê, người mà ĐỨC CHÚA biết rõ, mặt giáp mặt.

11ĐỨC CHÚA đã sai ông thực hiện mọi điềm thiêng dấu lạ tại nước Ai-cập, phạt Pha-ra-ô cùng tất cả bề tôi và cả nước.

12Ông Mô-sê đã biểu dương tất cả sức mạnh bàn tay ông và gây tất cả nỗi kinh hoàng lớn lao trước mắt toàn thể Ít-ra-en.
