1Better is a dry morsel with quietness,than a house full of feasting with strife.

2A servant who deals wisely will rule over a son who causes shame,and shall have a part in the inheritance among the brothers.

3The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold,but the LORD tests the hearts.

4An evildoer heeds wicked lips.A liar gives ear to a mischievous tongue.

5Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker.He who is glad at calamity shall not be unpunished.

6Children’s children are the crown of old men;the glory of children is their parents.

7Excellent speech isn’t fitting for a fool,much less do lying lips fit a prince.

24Wisdom is before the face of one who has understanding,but the eyes of a fool wander to the ends of the earth.

25A foolish son brings grief to his father,and bitterness to her who bore him.

26Also to punish the righteous is not good,nor to flog officials for their integrity.

27He who spares his words has knowledge.He who is even tempered is a man of understanding.

28Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise.When he shuts his lips, he is thought to be discerning.

2Разумный раб господствует над беспутным сыном и между братьями разделит наследство.

3Плавильня - для серебра, и горнило - для золота, а сердца испытывает Господь.

4Злодей внимает устам беззаконным, лжец слушается языка пагубного.

5Кто ругается над нищим, тот хулит Творца его; кто радуется несчастью, тот не останется ненаказанным.

6Венец стариков - сыновья сыновей, и слава детей - родители их.

7Неприлична глупому важная речь, тем паче знатному - уста лживые.

8Подарок - драгоценный камень в глазах владеющего им: куда ни обратится он, успеет.

9Прикрывающий проступок ищет любви; а кто снова напоминает о нем, тот удаляет друга.

10На разумного сильнее действует выговор, нежели на глупого сто ударов.

11Возмутитель ищет только зла; поэтому жестокий ангел будет послан против него.

12Лучше встретить человеку медведицу, лишенную детей, нежели глупца с его глупостью.

13Кто за добро воздает злом, от дома того не отойдет зло.

14Начало ссоры - как прорыв воды; оставь ссору прежде, нежели разгорелась она.

15Оправдывающий нечестивого и обвиняющий праведного - оба мерзость пред Господом.

16К чему сокровище в руках глупца? Для приобретения мудрости у него нет разума.

17Друг любит во всякое время и, как брат, явится во время несчастья.

18Человек малоумный дает руку и ручается за ближнего своего.

19Кто любит ссоры, любит грех, и кто высоко поднимает ворота свои, тот ищет падения.

20Коварное сердце не найдет добра, и лукавый язык попадет в беду.

21Родил кто глупого, - себе на горе, и отец глупого не порадуется.

22Веселое сердце благотворно, как врачевство, а унылый дух сушит кости.

23Нечестивый берет подарок из пазухи, чтобы извратить пути правосудия.

24Мудрость - пред лицoм у разумного, а глаза глупца - на конце земли.

25Глупый сын - досада отцу своему и огорчение для матери своей.

26Нехорошо и обвинять правого, и бить вельмож за правду.

27Разумный воздержан в словах своих, и благоразумный хладнокровен.

28И глупец, когда молчит, может показаться мудрым, и затворяющий уста свои - благоразумным.
