(Thơ của Đa-vít, lúc người giả điên trước mặt Vua A-bi-mê-léc và bị đuổi đi)

1Tôi luôn luôn chúc tụng Chúa Hằng Hữu,miệng tôi chỉ biết ca ngợi Ngài.

2Tôi sẽ khoe mọi ân lành của Chúa Hằng Hữu;cho người khốn khó nghe và vui mừng.

3Hãy cùng tôi tôn vinh Chúa Hằng Hữu;chúng ta hãy suy tôn Danh Ngài.

4Tôi tìm kiếm Chúa Hằng Hữu và Ngài đáp ứng.Ngài giải thoát tôi khỏi cảnh hãi hùng.

5Ai ngửa trông nơi Chúa được Ngài chiếu sáng,mặt tươi vui, không hổ thẹn cúi đầu.

6Người cùng khổ này kêu xin, và Chúa Hằng Hữu lắng nghe,Ngài giải cứu người khỏi hoạn nạn.

7Vì thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu là người canh giữ;đóng trại chung quanh và giải cứu người kính thờ Chúa.

8Hãy nếm thử cho biết Chúa Hằng Hữu là thiện lành.Phước cho người ẩn náu nơi Ngài!

9Các người thánh, hãy kính sợ Chúa Hằng Hữu,vì người kính sợ Chúa chẳng thiếu thốn bao giờ.

10Dù sư tử tơ có khi thiếu thốn và đói,nhưng người tìm kiếm Chúa Hằng Hữu chẳng thiếu điều lành nào.

11Các con, hãy đến nghe ta,ta sẽ dạy các con sự kính sợ Chúa Hằng Hữu.

12Có ai là người yêu thích cuộc đời,muốn sống lâu dài, hạnh phúc?

13Phải giữ miệng lưỡi mình,đừng nói lời độc hại, dối gian!

14Phải tránh xa điều ác và làm việc lành.Hãy tìm kiếm hòa bình, và theo đuổi nó.

15Vì mắt Chúa Hằng Hữu nhìn người công chính;tai Ngài nghe tiếng họ kêu cầu.

16Chúa Hằng Hữu đối nghịch người ác;xóa kỷ niệm họ trên thế gian.

17Người công chính kêu xin, Chúa lắng nghe.Ngài giải thoát họ khỏi mọi gian khổ.

18Chúa Hằng Hữu ở gần người có lòng tan vỡ;Ngài cứu người biết hối hận ăn năn.

19Người công chính gặp nhiều tai nạn,nhưng Chúa Hằng Hữu cho tai qua nạn khỏi.

20Chúa Hằng Hữu giữ gìn xương cốt người công chính;không để cho một cái nào phải gãy!

21Tai ương đến tiêu diệt người ác,ai ghét người ngay bị Chúa phạt.

22Nhưng Chúa Hằng Hữu chuộc người phục vụ Chúa.Người nào ẩn núp nơi Chúa không bị lên án.

A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed.

1I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

4I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

9O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

11Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

20He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
