Dân Đức Chúa Trời Được An Ủi

1Đức Chúa Trời của các ngươi phán:“Hãy an ủi, an ủidân Ta!

2Hãy nói với Giê-ru-sa-lem cách dịu dàng.Cho chúng biết rằng những ngày buồn đã qua, và tội lỗi chúng đã được xóa.Phải, Chúa Hằng Hữu đã hình phạt chúng gấp đôisố tội lỗi chúng đã phạm.”

3Hãy lắng nghe! Có tiếng ai gọi lớn:“Hãy mở một con đường trong hoang mạc cho Chúa Hằng Hữu!Hãy dọn một đại lộ thẳng tắp trong đồng hoangcho Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta!

4Hãy lấp cho đầy các thung lũng,và san bằng các núi và các đồi.Hãy sửa cho thẳng những đường quanh co,và dọn các nơi gồ ghề lởm chởm cho phẳng phiu.

5Lúc ấy, vinh quang Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ hiện ravà tất cả cư dân sẽ đều nhìn thấy.Chúa Hằng Hữu đã phán vậy!”

6Có tiếng gọi: “Hãy kêu lên!”Tôi hỏi: “Tôi phải nói gì?” “Hãy nói lớn rằng loài người giống như cây cỏ.Sắc đẹp của nó sẽ chóng phai tàn như hoa trong đồng nội.

7Cỏ khô héo và hoa úa tàndưới hơi thở của Chúa Hằng Hữu.Loài người cũng sẽ như vậy.

8Cỏ khô héo và hoa úa tàn,nhưng lời của Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta vẫn vững mãi đời đời.”

9Hỡi Si-ôn, là sứ giả báo tin mừng,hãy kêu lên từ đỉnh núi cao!Kêu lớn lên, hỡi Giê-ru-sa-lem,hãy kêu lớn lên, đừng sợ hãi.Hãy nói với các thành Giu-đa rằng:“Đức Chúa Trời của các ngươi đang đến!”

10Phải, Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao đang đến trong quyền năng.Chúa sẽ dùng cánh tay mạnh mẽ để cai trị. Kìa, Chúa đem theo phần thưởngvới Chúa khi Ngài đến.

11Chúa sẽ chăn bầy Ngài như người chăn.Ngài sẽ bồng ẵm các chiên con trong tay Ngài, ôm chúng trong lòng Ngài.Ngài sẽ nhẹ nhàng dẫn các chiên mẹ với con của chúng.

Quyền Năng và Khôn Ngoan của Chúa Hằng Hữu

12Ai đã lường nước biển với lòng bàn tay?Ai đã lấy gang tay đo các tầng trời?Ai đã lấy đấu đong bụi đất, lấy cân mà cân núi,hay làm cho các đồi thăng bằng?

13Ai có thể khuyên bảo Thần của Chúa Hằng Hữu?Ai có thể làm cố vấn hay chỉ dạy Ngài?

14Chúa Hằng Hữu có bao giờ cần ý kiến của ai chăng?Có phải Ngài có cần hướng dẫn làm điều đúng?Ai dạy Ngài con đường công chínhhay chỉ cho Ngài biết con đường công lý?

15Không, vì tất cả dân tộc trên thế giớichỉ như giọt nước trong thùng.Họ không hơn gìhạt bụi nằm trên cân.Chúa nhấc trái đất lênnhư nâng lên một hạt bụi.

16Tất cả gỗ trong rừng Li-banvà mọi thú rừng Li-ban cũng không đủ để làm tế lễ thiêu dâng lên Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta.

17Mọi dân tộc trên thế giới đều vô nghĩa với Chúa.Trong mắt Ngài, mọi nước đều không là gì cả— chỉ là trống không và vô ích.

18Các ngươi so sánh Đức Chúa Trời với ai?Các ngươi hình dung Ngài thế nào?

19Có thể so sánh Ngài với tượng thần bằng đất,tượng bọc vàng, và trang trí cùng các dây bạc chăng?

20Hay nếu người nghèo không có tiền thuê đúc tượng,họ có thể chọn thứ gỗ tốt lâu mục và giao cho thợ đẽo gọt thành một pho tượng không lay đổ được!

21Các ngươi không nghe? Các ngươi không hiểu sao?Các ngươi bị điếc với lời Đức Chúa Trời— là lời Ngài đã ban trước khi thế giới bắt đầu sao?Có phải các ngươi thật không biết?

22Đức Chúa Trời ngự trên vòm trời.Ngài coi dân cư trên đất như cào cào!Đấng trải không gian như bức màn,và giương các tầng trời như cái trại.

23Ngài làm cho quan quyền trở thành vô hiệuvà quan án trở thành vô nghĩa.

24Chúng giống như cây mới mọc, chưa đâm rễ,khi Chúa thổi trên chúng, chúng liền héo khô.

25Đấng Thánh hỏi: “Vậy, các con ví sánh Ta với ai?Các con đặt Ta ngang hàng với ai?”

26Hãy ngước mắt nhìn các tầng trời.Ai đã sáng tạo các tinh tú?Chúa là Đấng gọi các thiên thể theo đội ngũvà đặt tên cho mỗi thiên thể.Vì Chúa có sức mạnh vĩ đại và quyền năng vô biên,nên không sót một thiên thể nào.

27Hỡi Gia-cốp, sao ngươi nói Chúa Hằng Hữu không lưu tâm đến hoạn nạn ngươi?Hỡi Ít-ra-ên, sao ngươi than thở Đức Chúa Trời từ bỏ đường lối ngươi?

28Có phải các ngươi chưa bao giờ nghe?Có phải các ngươi chưa bao giờ hiểu?Chúa Hằng Hữu là Đức Chúa Trời đời đời,là Đấng sáng tạo trời đất.Ngài không bao giờ mệt mỏi hay yếu sức.Không ai dò tìm được sự hiểu biết của Ngài bao sâu.

29Ngài ban năng lực cho người bất lực,thêm sức mạnh cho người yếu đuối.

30Dù thiếu niên sẽ trở nên yếu đuối và mệt nhọc,và thanh niên cũng sẽ kiệt sức té.

31Nhưng tin cậy Chúa Hằng Hữu thì sẽ được sức mới.Họ sẽ tung cánh bay cao như chim ưng. Họ sẽ chạy mà không biết mệt. Sẽ bước đi mà không mòn mỏi.

1Be comforted, be comforted, my people, saith your God.

2Speak ye to the heart of Jerusalem, and call to her: for her evil is come to an end, her iniquity is forgiven: she hath received of the hand of the Lord double for all her sins.

3The voice of one crying in the desert: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the wilderness the paths of our God.

4Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough ways plain.

5And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh together shall see, that the mouth of the Lord hath spoken.

6The voice of one, saying: Cry. And I said: What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the glory thereof as the flower of the held.

7The grass is withered, and the dower is fallen, because the spirit of the Lord hath blown upon it. Indeed the people is grass:

8The grass is withered, and the flower is fallen: but the word of our Lord endureth for ever.

9Get thee up upon a high mountain, thou that bringest good tidings to Sion: lift up thy voice with strength, thou that bringest good tidings to Jerusalem: lift it up, fear not. Say to the cities of Juda: Behold your God:

10Behold the Lord God shall come with strength, and his arm shall rule: Behold his reward is with him and his work is before him.

11He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather together the lambs with his arm, and shall take them up in his bosom, and he himself shall carry them that are with young.

12Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and weighed the heavens with his palm? who hath poised with three fingers the bulk of the earth, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

13Who hath forwarded the spirit of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor, and hath taught him?

14With whom hath he consulted, and who hath instructed him, and taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and shewed him the way of understanding?

15Behold the Gentiles are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the smallest grain of a balance: behold the islands are as a little dust.

16And Libanus shall not be enough to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

17All nations are before him as if they had no being at all, and are counted to him as nothing, and vanity.

18To whom then have you likened God? or what image will you make for him?

19Hath the workman cast a graven statue? or hath the goldsmith formed it with gold, or the silversmith with plates of silver?

20He hath chosen strong wood, and that will not rot: the skillful workman seeketh how he may set up an idol that may not be moved.

21Do you not know? hath it not been heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have you not understood the foundations of the earth?

22It is he that sitteth upon the globe of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as locusts: he that stretcheth out the heavens as nothing, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.

23He that bringeth the searchers of secrets to nothing, that hath made the judges of the earth as vanity.

24And surely their stock was neither planted, nor sown, nor rooted in the earth: suddenly he hath blown upon them, and they are withered, and a whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

25And to whom have ye likened me, or made me equal, saith the Holy One?

26Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these things: who bringeth out their host by number, and calleth them all by their names: by the greatness of his might, and strength, and power, not one of them was missing.

27Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel: My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

28Knowest thou not, or hast thou not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, who hath created the ends of the earth: he shall not faint, nor labour, neither is there any searching out of his wisdom.

29It is he that giveth strength to the weary, and increaseth force and might to them that are not.

30Youths shall faint, and labour, and young men shall fall by infirmity.

31But they that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall take wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
