Lời Tiên Tri về Giê-ru-sa-lem

1“Khốn cho A-ri-ên, Thành của Vua Đa-vít.Năm này qua năm khác, các lễ hội vẫn tổ chức đều đều.

2Nhưng Ta sẽ giáng tai họa trên ngươi,rồi ngươi sẽ khóc lóc và sầu thảm.Vì Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ trở nên như tên của nó là A-ri-ên,nghĩa là bàn thờ phủ đầy máu.

3Ta sẽ chống nghịch ngươi,bao vây quanh Giê-ru-sa-lem và tấn công tường thành ngươi.Ta sẽ lập đồn vây hãm các thành lũyvà tiêu diệt nó.

4Từ nơi đất sâu, ngươi sẽ nói;từ nơi thấp của bụi đất, lời ngươi sẽ vang vọng lên.Tiếng nói ngươi sẽ thì thầm từ đấtnhư tiếng ma quỷ gọi hồn từ mộ địa.

5Nhưng bất chợt, bao kẻ thù ngươi sẽ bị nghiền nátnhư những hạt bụi nhỏ li ti.Những bọn cường bạo sẽ bị đuổi đinhư trấu rác trước cơn gió thổi.Việc ấy xảy ra thình lình, trong khoảnh khắc.

6Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân sẽ ra taydùng sấm sét, động đất, và tiếng ồn lớn, với gió bão, cơn lốc, và lửa để tiêu diệt chúng.

7Tất cả quân đội các nước vây đánh nghịch cùng Giê-ru-sa-lemsẽ tan biến như một giấc mơ!Những kẻ tấn công tường thành ngươisẽ biến mất như một khải tượng ban đêm.

8Như người đói nằm mơ thấy được ănnhưng khi tỉnh dậy vẫn đói.Như người khát nằm mơ thấy uống nướcnhưng vẫn khô cổ và kiệt sức khi trời sáng.Đoàn quân các nước tấn công Núi Si-ôncũng sẽ như vậy.”

9Ngươi ngạc nhiên và hoài nghi sao?Ngươi không tin tưởng điều ấy sao? Vậy cứ đi như bị mù. Ngươi dại dột, nhưng không vì rượu! Ngươi lảo đảo, nhưng không vì rượu mạnh!

10Vì Chúa Hằng Hữu đã làm cho ngươi ngủ mê.Ngài bịt mắt các tiên tri và trùm đầu các tiên kiến.

11Tất cả sự kiện về tương lai trong khải tượng này không khác gì những lời nói đã bị niêm phong trong sách. Khi ngươi đưa sách cho người biết đọc, họ sẽ nói: “Chúng tôi không đọc được vì sách đã niêm phong.”

12Khi ngươi đưa sách cho người không biết đọc, họ sẽ nói: “Chúng tôi không biết đọc.”

13Vậy, Chúa phán: “Những người này nói họ thuộc về Ta.Chúng tôn kính Ta bằng môi miệng, nhưng lòng chúng cách xa Ta lắm.Việc chúng thờ phượng Ta là vô nghĩavì chúng làm theo lệ luật loài người dạy cho.

14Nên một lần nữa, Ta sẽ làm cho chúng ngỡ ngàng,với hết việc lạ này đến việc lạ khác.Sự khôn ngoan của người khôn sẽ qua đi,và sự thông sáng của người thông minh sẽ biến mất.”

15Khốn cho những người tìm cách che giấu ý đồ khỏi Chúa Hằng Hữu,những người làm điều ác trong bóng tối!Chúng nói rằng: “Chúa Hằng Hữu không thể thấy chúng ta.Ngài không biết việc gì đang xảy ra!”

16Sao các ngươi có thể dại dột như thế?Chúa là Thợ Gốm, và hẳn nhiên Ngài vĩ đại hơn các ngươi là đất sét!Có thể nào đồ vật được nặn lại dám nói về người nặn ra nó rằng:“Ông không nặn ra tôi”?Hay một cái bình đất dám nói rằng:“Người thợ gốm tạo ra tôi là dại dột”?

17Chẳng bao lâu nữa,khu rừng Li-ban sẽ trở nên ruộng phì nhiêu và ruộng phì nhiêu sẽ sinh hoa lợi dồi dào.

18Trong ngày ấy, người điếc sẽ nghe đọc lời trong sách,người mù sẽ thấy được từ trong bóng tối mịt mờ.

19Người nhu mì sẽ ca mừng trong Chúa Hằng Hữu.Người nghèo khổ sẽ mừng rỡ trong Đấng Thánh của Ít-ra-ên.

20Bọn tàn bạo sẽ tiêu tan,người phỉ báng sẽ biến mất.Những ai âm mưu tàn ác sẽ bị đánh hạ.

21Những ai kết án người vô tộibằng chứng cớ giả dối sẽ biến mất.Số phận của những kẻ giăng bẫy, người kiện cáo trước tòavà nói lời dối trá để làm hại người vô tội cũng sẽ như vậy.

22Đó là tại sao Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đấng cứu chuộc Áp-ra-ham, đã nói với người Ít-ra-ên rằng:“Dân Ta sẽ không còn hổ thẹnhay mặt mày tái xanh nữa.

23Vì khi chúng thấy nhiều con cái mình,và tất cả phước lành Ta ban cho chúng, chúng sẽ ý thức được đức thánh khiết của Đấng Thánh của Ít-ra-ên.Chúng sẽ cung kính chiêm ngưỡng Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp.

24Những ai có tâm linh lầm lạc sẽ hiểu biết,và những ai thường than vãn sẽ được giáo huấn.”

1Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.

2Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.

3And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.

4And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.

5Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.

6Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

7¶ And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.

8It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

9¶ Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

10For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

11And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

12And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

13¶ Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

14Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

15Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

16Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

17Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?

18¶ And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

19The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

21That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

22Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.

23But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.

24They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.
