Bài Ca của Đa-vít

1Đa-vít hát bài ca sau đây để ca tụng Chúa Hằng Hữu đã giải cứu mình khỏi tay quân thù:

2“Chúa Hằng Hữu là vầng đá và đồn lũy tôi, Đấng giải cứu tôi;

3Chúa Hằng Hữu là vầng đá tôi, nơi tôi được bảo vệ.Chúa là tấm khiên, là sừng cứu tôi. Lạy Đấng che chở tôi! Chính Ngài giải cứu tôi khỏi cơn hung bạo.

4Tôi sẽ cầu xin với Chúa Hằng Hữu,là Đấng đáng ca ngợi, lập tức, Ngài ra tay giải cứu khỏi mọi kẻ thù.

5Lưới tử vong giăng mắc quanh tôi:thác hủy diệt hung hăng gào thét.

6Âm phủ thắt chặt dây oan nghiệt;lưới tử thần chằng chịt dưới chân.

7Trong lúc hiểm nguy, tôi gọi Chân Thần;kêu van Đấng Tự Hữu Hằng Hữu.Từ Thiên Đàngnghe tôi kêu cứu;Chúa Toàn Năng lập tức ra tay:

8Núi rung chuyển, lung lay.Đất bằng nổi địa chấn; vì Chúa đang cơn giận.

9Khói bay từ mũi Chúa;Miệng Ngài phun ngọn lửa. Làm than cháy đỏ hực.

10Chúa xé các tầng trời và ngự xuống;chân đạp mây đen dày đặc.

11Chúa cưỡi thiên thầnhộ giábay trên cánh gió tây.

12Ngài dùng bóng tối của nước mưa và mây đen mù mịt,làm màn trướng bao quanh Ngài.

13Từ hào quang rực rỡ trên mặt Ngài,than hồng cháy rực.

14Ngài cho sấm sét rền trời;tiếng của Đấng Chí Cao vang dội, tạo mưa đá, lửa hừng, gió thổi.

15Chúa bắn tên, quân thù tán loạn;hàng ngũ vỡ tan vì chớp nhoáng.

16Chúa Hằng Hữu quở to,nước biển rút cạn khô,hơi thở tốc địa cầu,phô bày đáy vực.

17Chúa xuống từ trời cao;kéo tôi khỏi nước sâu.

18Thoát kẻ thù kiêu ngạo,cường bạo và hỗn hào.

19Chúng tấn công con trong ngày gian truân,nhưng Chúa Hằng Hữu đã đưa tay phù hộ.

20Chúa đem tôi vào chỗ an toàn;chỉ vì tôi được Ngài ưa thích.

21Chúa thưởng tôi với đức công bằng;báo đền các hành vi trong sạch.

22Tôi tuân hành điều răn Chúa dạy;không phạm tội để rồi lẩn quất.

23Luật pháp Ngài gần tôi mãi mãi;không một điều nào tôi sơ suất.

24Trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, tôi chẳng gì đáng trách;tôi đã giữ tôi khỏi tội lỗi trong đời.

25Chúa luôn tưởng thưởng người ngay.Những ai trong sạch được Ngài ban ân.

26Chúa thành tín đối với ai trung tín,trọn vẹn đối với ai thanh liêm.

27Chúa ban phước cho người thánh sạch,giáng tai ương cho kẻ tham gian.

28Chúa cứu vớt nhân dân khốn khổ,nhưng hình phạt những kẻ kiêu căng.

29Chúa Hằng Hữu thắp đèn tôi sáng.Đức Chúa Trời luôn dẫn lối soi đàng.

30Nhờ sức Chúa, tôi dẹp tan quân địch;cùng với Đức Chúa Trời tôi vượt tường thành.

31Đức Chúa Trời thật muôn phần hoàn hảo.Lời Ngài toàn Chân lý tinh thuần. Chúa vẫn là Tấm Khiên che chở, cho những ai nương náu nơi Ngài.

32Ngoài Chúa ra, chẳng có Chân Thần.Ai là Vầng Đá an toàn, ngoài Đức Chúa Trời chúng con?

33Chúa trang bị cho tôi năng lực,Vạch con đường thẳng tắpcho tôi.

34Chân tôi bước vững vàng lanh lẹ,leo lên đỉnh núi cao an toàn.Chúa vạch cho con đường thẳng tắp,đưa tôi vào rạng rỡ vinh quang.

35Chúa luyện tay tôi sành chinh chiến,cánh tay tôi giương nổi cung đồng.

36Chúa trao tôi tấm khiên cứu rỗi;tay phải Ngài bảo vệ ẵm bồng. Chúahạ mình nâng tôi lên hàng cao cả.

37Trước chân tôi, mở một con đường.Nên tôi chẳng bao giờ vấp ngã.

38Tôi đuổi theo, bắt kịp quân thù;chỉ trở về sau khi tận diệt.

39Tôi thấy chúng chết nằm la liệt,không tên nào cựa quậy, ngóc đầu.

40Chúa trang bị con sức mạnh cho chiến trận,khiến quân thù phục dưới chân con.

41Chúa khiến địch quay lưng trốn chạy.Bọn ghét tôi bị đánh tan hoang.

42Chúng van xin, không ai tiếp cứu.Chúng kêu cầu, Chúa có nghe chăng?

43Tôi nghiền chúng ra như cám bụi;ném chúng như bùn đất ngoài đồng.

44Chúa cứu con khỏi sự công kích của con người,nâng con lên làm đầu các nước, cho những dân tộc xa lạ thần phục con.

45Tôi ra lệnh, chúng theo răm rắp;người nước ngoài, gọi dạ, bảo vâng.

46Chúng mất hết tinh thần, sức lựcbỏ thành trì kiên cố quy hàng.

47Chúa Hằng Hữu trường tồn bất biến!Vầng Đá muôn đời được ca vang!Duy Đức Chúa Trời ra tay cứu rỗi,một mình Ngài là Đấng Chân Quang!

48Chúa công minh báo oán ban ơn;Ngài bắt các dân thần phục tôi.

49Cứu thoát tôi hỏi tay quân địch,nâng con lên cao hơn mọi kẻ thù, cứu con khỏi người tàn bạo.

50Vì thế nên, tôi hằng ca ngợi,tôn vinh Cứu Chúa giữa các dân; Danh Ngài, tôi hân hoan chúc tụng,

51Với người Ngài chọn, Chúa khoan nhân.Lòng từ ái ban ơn cứu rỗi Chúa thương dòng dõi tôi vô ngần, muôn đời chẳng bao giờ dời đổi.”

1And David spoke to the Lord the words of this canticle, in the day that the Lord delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,

2And he said: The Lord is my rock, and my strength, and my saviour.

3God is my strong one, in him will I trust: my shield, and the horn of my salvation: he lifteth me up, and is my refuge: my saviour, thou wilt deliver me from iniquity.

4I will call on the Lord who is worthy to be praised: and I shall be saved from my enemies.

5For the pangs of death have surrounded me: the floods of Belial have made me afraid.

6The cords of hell compassed me: the snares of death prevented me.

7In my distress I will call upon the Lord, and I will cry to my God: and he will hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry shall come to his ears.

8The earth shook and trembled, the foundations of the mountains were moved, and shaken, because he was angry with them.

9A smoke went up from his nostrils, and a devouring fire out of his mouth: coals were kindled by it.

10He bowed the heavens, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

11And he rode upon the cherubims, and flew: and slid upon the wings of the wind.

12He made darkness a covering round about him: dropping waters out of the clouds of the heavens.

13By the brightness before him, the coals of fire were kindled.

14The Lord shall thunder from heaven: and the most high shall give forth his voice.

15He shot arrows and scattered them: lightning, and consumed them.

16And the overflowings of the sea appeared, and the foundations of the world were laid open at the rebuke of the Lord, at the blast of the spirit of his wrath.

17He sent from on high, and took me, and drew me out of many waters.

18He delivered me from my most mighty enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.

19He prevented me in the day of my affliction, and the Lord became my stay.

20And he brought me forth into a large place, he delivered me, because I pleased him.

21The Lord will reward me according to my justice: and according to the cleanness of my hands he will render to me.

22Because I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

23For all his judgments are in my sight: and his precepts I have not removed from me.

24And I shall be perfect with him: and shall keep myself from my iniquity.

25And the Lord will recompense me according to my justice: and according to the cleanness of my hands in the sight of his eyes.

26With the holy one thou wilt be holy: and with the valiant perfect.

27With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

28And the poor people thou wilt save: and with thy eyes thou wilt humble the haughty.

29For thou art my lamp, O Lord: and thou, O Lord, wilt enlighten my darkness.

30For in thee I will run girded: in my God I will leap over the wall.

31God, his way is immaculate, the word of the Lord is tried by fire: he is the shield of all that trust in him.

32Who is God but the Lord: and who is strong but our God?

33God who hath girded me with strength, and made my way perfect.

34Making my feet like the feet of harts, and setting me upon my high places.

35He teacheth my bands to war: and maketh my arms like a bow of brass.

36Thou hast given me the shield of my salvation: and thy mildness hath multiplied me.

37Thou shalt enlarge my steps under me: and my ankles shall not fail.

38I will pursue after my enemies, and crush them: and will not return again till I consume them.

39I will consume them and break them in pieces, so that they shall not rise: they shall fall under my feet.

40Thou hast girded me with strength to battle: thou hast made them that resisted me to bow under me.

41My enemies thou hast made to turn their back to me: them that hated me, and I shall destroy them.

42They shall cry, and there shall be none to save: to the Lord, and he shall not hear them.

43I shall beat them as small as the dust of the earth: I shall crush them and spread them abroad like the mire of the streets.

44Thou wilt save me from the contradictions of my people: thou wilt keep me to be the head of the Gentiles: the people which I know not, shall serve me,

45The sons of the stranger will resist me, at the hearing of the ear they will obey me.

46The strangers are melted away, and shall be straitened in their distresses.

47The Lord liveth, and my God is blessed: and the strong God of my salvation shall be exalted:

48God who giveth me revenge, and bringest down people under me,

49Who bringest me forth from my enemies, and liftest me up from them that resist me: from the wicked man thou shalt deliver me.

50Therefore will I give thanks to thee. O Lord, among the Gentiles, and will sing to thy name.

51Giving great salvation to his king, and shewing mercy to David his anointed, and to his seed for ever.
