1ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê rằng :

2“Hãy nói với con cái Ít-ra-en : Khi có người nào vô ý phạm tội trái với một trong các mệnh lệnh của ĐỨC CHÚA và làm một trong những điều không được làm,

3nếu là tư tế đã được xức dầu tấn phong mà phạm tội, khiến dân cũng mắc lỗi, thì vì tội đã phạm, nó phải tiến dâng một con bò tơ toàn vẹn lên ĐỨC CHÚA làm lễ tạ tội.

4Nó sẽ đưa con bò đến cửa Lều Hội Ngộ trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA ; nó sẽ đặt tay trên đầu con bò và sát tế con bò trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.

5Tư tế đã được xức dầu tấn phong sẽ lấy một phần máu con bò và đưa vào Lều Hội Ngộ.

6Tư tế sẽ nhúng ngón tay vào máu và rảy máu đó bảy lần trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA, phía trước màn trướng thánh điện.

7Tư tế sẽ bôi máu lên các góc cong của bàn thờ dâng hương thơm đặt trong Lều Hội Ngộ, trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA, rồi đổ tất cả máu bò còn lại xuống chân bàn thờ dâng lễ toàn thiêu đặt ở cửa Lều Hội Ngộ.

8Còn tất cả mỡ của con bò dâng làm lễ tạ tội, nó sẽ trích riêng ra, đó là : lớp mỡ bọc ngoài bộ lòng, tất cả lớp mỡ ở trên bộ lòng,

9hai trái cật và lớp mỡ bọc ngoài, gần lưng, và khối mỡ trên gan mà nó sẽ tách ra cùng với các trái cật –

10giống như phần trích riêng ra từ con bò dâng làm hy lễ kỳ an– rồi tư tế sẽ đốt những thứ ấy cho cháy nghi ngút trên bàn thờ dâng lễ toàn thiêu.

11Còn da con bò, tất cả thịt của nó, cùng với đầu, chân, lòng và phân của nó,

12tóm lại tất cả con bò, thì tư tế sẽ đưa ra ngoài trại, ở một nơi thanh sạch, chỗ đổ tro, và thiêu trên củi đang cháy ; nó sẽ được thiêu tại chính nơi đổ tro.

13Nếu toàn thể cộng đồng Ít-ra-en vô ý phạm tội và đại hội không nhận thấy điều đó, nếu chúng làm một trong những điều mà mệnh lệnh ĐỨC CHÚA cấm làm, khiến chúng mắc lỗi,

14nhưng rồi chúng biết được tội đã phạm, thì đại hội phải tiến dâng một bò tơ làm lễ tạ tội, và sẽ đưa nó đến trước Lều Hội Ngộ.

15Các kỳ mục của cộng đồng sẽ đặt tay trên đầu con bò, trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA, và người ta sẽ sát tế con bò trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA.

16Tư tế đã được xức dầu tấn phong sẽ đem một phần máu con bò vào Lều Hội Ngộ.

17Tư tế sẽ nhúng ngón tay vào máu và rảy bảy lần trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA, phía trước màn trướng.

18Tư tế sẽ bôi máu vào các góc cong của bàn thờ đặt trong Lều Hội Ngộ, trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA, rồi đổ tất cả máu còn lại xuống chân bàn thờ dâng lễ toàn thiêu đặt ở cửa Lều Hội Ngộ.

19Còn tất cả mỡ, tư tế sẽ lấy riêng ra và đốt cho cháy nghi ngút trên bàn thờ.

20Nó sẽ tế con bò này như đã tế con bò dâng làm lễ tạ tội ; tư tế sẽ tế nó như vậy. Tư tế sẽ cử hành lễ xá tội như thế cho chúng và chúng sẽ được tha.

21Tư tế sẽ đưa con bò ra ngoài trại và thiêu nó như đã thiêu con bò trước. Đó là lễ tạ tội cho đại hội.

22Nếu một đầu mục phạm tội, và vô ý làm một trong những điều mà mệnh lệnh ĐỨC CHÚA, Thiên Chúa của nó, cấm làm, khiến nó mắc lỗi,

23nếu người ta cho nó biết tội nó đã phạm, thì nó phải đưa đến một con dê làm lễ tiến, một con đực toàn vẹn.

24Nó sẽ đặt tay trên đầu con dê và sát tế trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA, ở nơi sát tế lễ vật toàn thiêu. Đó là lễ tạ tội.

25Tư tế sẽ dùng ngón tay lấy máu lễ vật tạ tội và bôi lên các góc cong của bàn thờ dâng lễ toàn thiêu, rồi đổ máu còn lại xuống chân bàn thờ dâng lễ toàn thiêu.

26Còn tất cả mỡ, tư tế sẽ đốt cho cháy nghi ngút trên bàn thờ, như mỡ của hy lễ kỳ an. Tư tế sẽ cử hành lễ xá tội như thế cho người ấy khỏi tội của mình, và người ấy sẽ được tha.

27Nếu một thường dân vô ý phạm tội, làm một trong những điều mà mệnh lệnh của ĐỨC CHÚA cấm làm, khiến nó mắc lỗi,

28nếu người ta cho nó biết tội nó đã phạm, thì vì tội đã phạm, nó sẽ đưa đến một con dê làm lễ tiến, một dê cái toàn vẹn.

29Nó sẽ đặt tay trên đầu lễ vật tạ tội và sát tế lễ vật tạ tội ở nơi sát tế lễ vật toàn thiêu.

30Tư tế sẽ dùng ngón tay lấy máu con vật và bôi lên các góc cong của bàn thờ dâng lễ toàn thiêu, rồi đổ tất cả máu còn lại xuống chân bàn thờ.

31Còn tất cả mỡ, tư tế sẽ tách ra như người ta tách mỡ ra khỏi hy lễ kỳ an, rồi tư tế sẽ đốt cho cháy nghi ngút trên bàn thờ thành hương thơm làm vui lòng ĐỨC CHÚA. Tư tế sẽ cử hành lễ xá tội như thế cho người ấy, và người ấy sẽ được tha.

32Nếu người ấy đem dâng tiến một con chiên làm lễ tạ tội, thì phải đem đến một con chiên cái toàn vẹn.

33Người ấy sẽ đặt tay trên đầu lễ vật tạ tội và sát tế làm lễ tạ tội ở nơi sát tế lễ vật toàn thiêu.

34Tư tế sẽ dùng ngón tay lấy máu lễ vật tạ tội và bôi lên các góc cong của bàn thờ dâng lễ toàn thiêu, rồi đổ tất cả máu còn lại xuống chân bàn thờ.

35Còn tất cả mỡ, tư tế sẽ tách ra như người ta tách mỡ của con chiên dâng làm hy lễ kỳ an, rồi tư tế sẽ đốt cho cháy nghi ngút trên bàn thờ, bên trên các lễ hoả tế dâng ĐỨC CHÚA. Tư tế sẽ cử hành lễ xá tội như thế cho người ấy, vì tội người ấy đã phạm, và người ấy sẽ được tha.

1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

2Say to the children of Israel: The soul that sinneth through ignorance, and doth any thing concerning any of the commandments of the Lord, which he commanded not to be done:

3If the priest that is anointed shall sin, making the people to offend, he shall offer to the Lord for his sin a calf without blemish.

4And he shall bring it to the door of the testimony before the Lord, and shall put his hand upon the head thereof, and shall sacrifice it to the Lord.

5He shall take also of the blood of the calf, and carry it into the tabernacle of the testimony.

6And having dipped his finger in the blood, he shall sprinkle with it seven times before the Lord, before the veil of the sanctuary.

7And he shall put some of the same blood upon the horns of the altar of the sweet incense most acceptable to the Lord, which is in the tabernacle of the testimony. And he shall pour all the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar of holocaust in the entry of the tabernacle.

8And he shall take off the fat of the calf for the sin offering, as well that which covereth the entrails, as all the inwards:

9The two little kidneys, and the caul that is upon them, which is by the hanks, and the fat of the liver with the little kidneys,

10As it is taken off from the calf of the sacrifice of peace offerings, and he shall burn them upon the altar of holocaust.

11But the skin and all the flesh with the head and the feet and the bowels and the dung,

12And the rest of the body he shall carry forth without the camp into a clean place where the ashes are wont to be poured out, and he shall burn them upon a pile of wood, they shall be burnt in the place where the ashes are poured out.

13And if all the multitude of Israel shall be ignorant, and through ignorance shall do that which is against the commandment of the Lord,

14And afterwards shall understand their sin, they shall offer for their sin a calf, and shall bring it to the door of the tabernacle.

15And the ancients of the people shall put their hands upon the head thereof before the Lord. And the calf being immolated in the sight of the Lord,

16The priest that is anointed shall carry of the blood into the tabernacle of the testimony.

17And shall dip his finger in it and sprinkle it seven times before the veil.

18And he shall put of the same blood on the horns of the altar that is before the Lord, in the tabernacle of the testimony: and the rest of the blood he shall pour at the foot of the altar of holocaust, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

19And all the fat thereof he shall take off, and shall burn it upon the altar:

20Doing so with this calf, as he did also with that before: and the priest praying for them, the Lord will be merciful unto them.

21But the calf itself he shall carry forth without the camp, and shall burn it as he did the former calf: because it is for the sin of the multitude.

22If a prince shall sin, and through ignorance do any one of the things that the law of the Lord forbiddeth,

23And afterwards shall come to know his sin, he shall offer a buck goat without blemish, a sacrifice to the Lord.

24And he shall put his hand upon the head thereof: and when he hath immolated it in the place where the holocaust is wont to be slain before the Lord, because it is for sin,

25The priest shall dip his finger in the blood of the victim for sin, touching therewith the horns of the altar of holocaust, and pouring out the rest at the foot thereof.

26But the fat he shall burn upon it, as is wont to be done with the victims of peace offerings: and the priest shall pray for him, and for his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.

27And if any one of the people of the land shall sin through ignorance, doing any of those things that by the law of the Lord are forbidden, and offending,

28And shall come to know his sin, he shall offer a she goat without blemish.

29And he shall put his hand upon the head of the victim that is for sin, and shall immolate it in the place of the holocaust.

30And the priest shall take of the blood with his finger, and shall touch the horns of the altar of holocaust, and shall pour out the rest at the foot thereof.

31But taking off all the fat, as is wont to be taken away of the victims of peace offerings, he shall burn it upon the altar, for a sweet savour to the Lord: and he shall pray for him, and it shall be forgiven him.

32But if he offer of the flock a victim for his sin, to wit, an ewe without blemish:

33He shall put his hand upon the head thereof, and shall immolate it in the place where the victims of holocausts are wont to be slain.

34And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and shall touch the horns of the altar of holocaust, and the rest he shall pour out at the foot thereof.

35All the fat also he shall take off, as the fat of the ram that is offered for peace offerings is wont to be taken away: and shall burn it upon the altar, for a burnt sacrifice of the Lord: and he shall pray for him and for his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.
