A Song of Ascents.

1Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Jehovah.

2Lord, hear my voice: Let thine ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.

3If thou, Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

4But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.

5I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope.

6My soul waiteth for the Lord More than watchmen wait for the morning; Yea, more than watchmen for the morning.

7O Israel, hope in Jehovah; For with Jehovah there is lovingkindness, And with him is plenteous redemption.

8And he will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

1Đức Giê-hô-va ôi! từ nơi sâu thẩm tôi cầu khẩn Ngài.

2Chúa ôi! xin nghe tiếng tôi; Nguyện tai Chúa lắng nghe Tiếng nài xin của tôi.

3Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, nếu Ngài cố chấp sự gian ác. Thì, Chúa ôi! ai sẽ còn sống?

4Nhưng Chúa có lòng tha thứ cho, Để người ta kính sợ Chúa.

5Tôi trông đợi Đức Giê-hô-va, linh hồn tôi trông đợi Ngài; Tôi trông cậy lời của Ngài.

6Linh hồn tôi trông đợi Chúa Hơn người lính canh trông đợi sáng, Thật, hơn người lính canh trông đợi sáng.

7Hỡi Y-sơ-ra-ên, hãy trông cậy nơi Đức Giê-hô-va; Vì Đức Giê-hô-va có lòng nhân từ, Nơi Ngài có sự cứu rỗi nhiều;

8Chính Ngài sẽ chuộc Y-sơ-ra-ên Khỏi các sự gian ác người.
