Leviticus

1And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2'Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, A woman when she giveth seed, and hath born a male, then she hath been unclean seven days, according to the days of separation for her sickness she is unclean;

3and in the eighth day is the flesh of his foreskin circumcised;

4and thirty and three days she doth abide in the blood of her cleansing; against any holy thing she doth not come, and unto the sanctuary she doth not go in, till the fulness of the days of her cleansing.

5'And if a female she bear, then she hath been unclean two weeks, as in her separation; and sixty and six days she doth abide for the blood of her cleansing.

6'And in the fulness of the days of her cleansing for son or for daughter she doth bring in a lamb, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon or a turtle-dove for a sin-offering, unto the opening of the tent of meeting, unto the priest;

7and he hath brought it near before Jehovah, and hath made atonement for her, and she hath been cleansed from the fountain of her blood; this [is] the law of her who is bearing, in regard to a male or to a female.

8'And if her hand find not the sufficiency of a sheep, then she hath taken two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, one for a burnt-offering, and one for a sin-offering, and the priest hath made atonement for her, and she hath been cleansed.'

1ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê rằng :

2“Hãy nói với con cái Ít-ra-en : Khi một người đàn bà có thai và sinh con trai, thì sẽ ra ô uế trong vòng bảy ngày, nó sẽ ra ô uế như những ngày bị khó ở vì kinh nguyệt.

3Đến ngày thứ tám, đứa trẻ sẽ được cắt bì nơi da quy đầu.

4Rồi người đàn bà phải đợi ba mươi ba ngày cho máu được thanh tẩy ; nó không được đụng đến vật thánh nào và không được vào thánh điện, cho đến khi mãn thời gian thanh tẩy của mình.

5Nếu sinh con gái, thì người đàn bà sẽ ra ô uế trong vòng hai tuần, như khi có kinh ; rồi nó phải đợi sáu mươi sáu ngày cho máu được thanh tẩy.

6Khi mãn thời gian thanh tẩy, dù sinh con trai hay con gái, nó phải đem đến cho tư tế, ở cửa Lều Hội Ngộ, một con chiên một tuổi làm lễ toàn thiêu, và một bồ câu non hay một chim gáy làm lễ tạ tội.

7Đó là luật về người đàn bà sinh con trai hay con gái.

8Nếu không có phương tiện kiếm được chiên, thì nó sẽ bắt một đôi chim gáy hay một cặp bồ câu non, một con để làm lễ toàn thiêu, một con để làm lễ tạ tội. Tư tế sẽ cử hành lễ xá tội cho nó, và nó sẽ ra thanh sạch.”
