Chúa Giê-xu Được Đón Rước Cách Vẻ Vang

1Khi Chúa Giê-xu và các môn đệ gần đến Giê-ru-sa-lem, ngang làng Bê-pha-giê trên sườn núi Ô-liu, Chúa Giê-xu sai hai môn đệ đi trước

2và dặn: “Các con đi thẳng vào làng trước mặt, sẽ thấy một con lừa cái buộc bên cạnh một lừa con. Cứ mở dây dắt chúng về đây cho Ta!

3Nếu có ai hỏi, các con trả lời: ‘Chúa cần dùng chúng,’ người ta sẽ cho đi.”

4Việc xảy ra đúng theo lời tiên tri:

5“Hãy loan báo cho người Ít-ra-ên:‘Vua các ngươi đang đến thăm.Ngài khiêm tốn cưỡi lừa con—là con lừa cái.’”

6Hai môn đệ vâng lệnh ra đi, làm đúng điều Chúa Giê-xu dạy.

7Họ dắt lừa cái và lừa con về, lót áo mình trên lưng để Chúa lên cưỡi.

8Trong dân chúng, nhiều người lấy áo mình trải trên đường, người khác bẻ nhánh cây rải trước mặt Chúa.

9Người vượt lên trước, người chạy theo sau, tung hô:“Chúc tụng Con Vua Đa-vít!Phước cho Đấng nhân danh Chúa Hằng Hữu mà đến! Chúc tụng Đức Chúa Trời trên nơi chí cao!”

10Cả thành Giê-ru-sa-lem náo động khi Chúa tiến vào thành. Họ hỏi: “Ông này là ai?”

11Đám đông theo Chúa đáp: “Nhà Tiên Tri Giê-xu, ở Na-xa-rét, xứ Ga-li-lê!”

Chúa Giê-xu Dẹp Sạch Đền Thờ

12Chúa Giê-xu đi thẳng vào Đền Thờ, đuổi hết những người mua bán ra ngoài, lật đổ bàn của bọn đổi tiền và ghế của bọn bán bồ câu.

13Chúa nói với họ: “Thánh Kinh chép: ‘Đền Thờ Ta là nơi cầu nguyện,’ nhưng các người đã biến thành sào huyệt trộm cướp!”

14Lúc ấy, những người mù lòa, què quặt kéo nhau đến với Chúa trong Đền Thờ và được chữa lành.

15Tuy nhiên, các thầy trưởng tế và thầy dạy luật thấy các phép lạ Chúa thực hiện và nghe tiếng trẻ con hoan hô: “Con Vua Đa-vít” vang dậy Đền Thờ, họ rất bực tức,

16đến chất vấn Chúa Giê-xu: “Thầy có nghe bọn trẻ con nói gì không?” Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Có! Thế các ông chưa đọc câu Thánh Kinh: ‘Người sẽ được các em bé miệng còn hôi sữa ca ngợi’sao?”

17Rồi Chúa bỏ họ, ra khỏi thủ đô, về trọ tại làng Bê-tha-ni đêm ấy.

Chúa Giê-xu Rủa Cây Vả

18Sáng hôm sau, Chúa Giê-xu trở lại Giê-ru-sa-lem, Ngài đói;

19Ngài thấy một cây vả bên vệ đường, liền lại gần nhưng không thấy trái, chỉ toàn cành lá rườm rà. Chúa quở: “Cây này sẽ chẳng bao giờ ra trái nữa!” Cây vả lập tức héo khô.

20Các môn đệ ngạc nhiên hỏi: “Làm sao cây vả khô héo nhanh chóng như thế?”

21Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Ta quả quyết với các con, nếu các con có đức tin, không chút nghi ngờ, không những các con bảo cây vả khô đi, mà còn có thể ra lệnh thì núi này cũng bị bứng lên và quăng xuống biển.

22Bất cứ điều gì các con cầu xin và tin quyết, các con sẽ nhận được.”

Uy Quyền của Chúa Giê-xu

23Chúa Giê-xu vào Đền Thờ và bắt đầu giảng dạy, thình lình, các thầy trưởng tế và các trưởng lão bước vào và hỏi Chúa: “Thầy cậy uy quyền gì để làm việc đó? Ai ủy quyền cho Thầy?”

24Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Tôi cũng hỏi một câu, nếu các ông trả lời được, tôi sẽ giải đáp câu hỏi của các ông.

25Lễ báp-tem của Giăng bắt nguồn từ đâu? Từ trời hay từ người?” Họ thảo luận với nhau: “Nếu chúng ta nói từ trời, ông ấy sẽ hỏi: Sao các ông không tin Giăng?

26Nếu chúng ta nói từ người, thì nguy với dân chúng vì dân chúng đều công nhận Giăng là tiên tri của Đức Chúa Trời.”

27Vậy họ thưa với Chúa: “Chúng tôi không biết!” Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Nếu thế, Ta cũng không nói cho các ông biết nguồn gốc uy quyền của Ta.”

Ẩn Dụ về Hai Con Trai

28“Các ông nghĩ thế nào về chuyện này: Người kia có hai con trai. Ông bảo đứa con trưởng: ‘Con ơi, hôm nay con ra vườn nho làm việc!’

29Nó đáp: ‘Con không muốn đi,’ nhưng sau hối hận, ra vườn làm việc.

30Người cha lại sai đứa con thứ ra vườn. Nó nhanh nhẩu đáp: ‘Vâng, con sẽ đi ngay,’ nhưng cứ ở nhà, không chịu đi.

31Vậy người con nào vâng lời cha?” Họ đáp: “Người con trưởng.” Chúa Giê-xu tiếp: “Tôi quả quyết với các ông, người thu thuế và gái giang hồ sẽ vào Nước Trời trước các ông.

32Vì Giăng bảo các ông ăn năn, quay về Đức Chúa Trời, nhưng các ông không nghe; còn bọn thu thuế và gái giang hồ tin lời Giăng. Các ông đã thấy rõ nhưng vẫn không chịu ăn năn và không tin lời Giăng.”

Ẩn Dụ về Các Đầy tớ Gian Ác

33“Các ông nghe thêm ẩn dụ này: Người kia trồng một vườn nho, dựng hàng rào chung quanh, đào hầm ép nho, xây tháp canh, cho đầy tớ mướn rồi lên đường đi xa.

34Đến mùa hái nho, chủ sai người nhà về thu hoa lợi.

35Nhưng họ bị các đầy tớ bắt giữ; người bị đánh đập, người bị giết, người bị ném đá.

36Chủ lại phái đến một nhóm tôi tớ đông hơn nữa. Họ cũng bị các đầy tớ đối xử tàn tệ và giết hại như trước.

37Sau hết, chủ sai con trai mình đến gặp các đầy tớ, vì nghĩ rằng họ sẽ kính nể con mình.

38Nhưng, khi vừa thấy con trai chủ, các đầy tớ bảo nhau: ‘Nó là con thừa tự, chúng ta phải giết nó để chiếm đoạt tài sản!’

39Họ liền bắt người con, kéo ra ngoài vườn nho rồi giết đi.

40Vậy, khi chủ vườn nho trở về sẽ đối xử với các đầy tớ ấy ra sao?”

41Các lãnh đạo tôn giáo đáp: “Chủ sẽ tiêu diệt bọn gian ác ấy, cho người khác mướn vườn, canh tác và nộp hoa lợi đúng mùa.”

42Chúa Giê-xu hỏi: “Các ông chưa đọc lời Thánh Kinh này sao?‘Tảng đá bị thợ xây nhà loại rađã trở thành tảng đá móng.Đây là việc Chúa Hằng Hữu đã thực hiện,và đó là điều kỳ diệu trước mắt chúng ta.’

43Ta cho các ông biết: Chỗ của các ông trong Nước của Đức Chúa Trời sẽ dành cho những người biết nộp cho Chúa phần hoa lợi của Ngài.

44Ai ngã vào tảng đá sẽ bị tan xác, còn tảng đá ấy rơi nhằm ai, sẽ nghiền họ ra bụi.”

45Các thầy trưởng tế và Pha-ri-si nghe Chúa giải thích ẩn dụ, biết Ngài ám chỉ họ,

46nên tìm cách bắt Chúa, nhưng còn e ngại dân chúng, vì dân chúng đều công nhận Chúa Giê-xu là nhà tiên tri.

1When they came near to Jerusalem and came to Bethsphage,to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

2saying to them,“Go into the village that is opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me.

3If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and immediately he will send them.”

4All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,

5“Tell the daughter of Zion,behold, your King comes to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”

6The disciples went and did just as Jesus commanded them,

7and brought the donkey and the colt and laid their clothes on them; and he sat on them.

8A very great multitude spread their clothes on the road. Others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.

9The multitudes who went in front of him, and those who followed, kept shouting, “Hosannato the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

10When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?”

11The multitudes said, “This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”

12Jesus entered into the temple of God and drove out all of those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves.

13He said to them,“It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’but you have made it a den of robbers!”

14The lame and the blind came to him in the temple, and he healed them.

15But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were crying in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant,

16and said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” Jesus said to them,“Yes. Did you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of children and nursing babies, you have perfected praise’?”

17He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and camped there.

18Now in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry.

19Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it,“Let there be no fruit from you forever!”Immediately the fig tree withered away.

20When the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, “How did the fig tree immediately wither away?”

21Jesus answered them,“Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.

22All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

23When he had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, “By what authority do you do these things? Who gave you this authority?”

24Jesus answered them,“I also will ask you one question, which if you tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things.

25The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven or from men?”They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’

26But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the multitude, for all hold John as a prophet.”

27They answered Jesus, and said, “We don’t know.” He also said to them,“Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

28But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’

29He answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind, and went.

30He came to the second, and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I’m going, sir,’ but he didn’t go.

31Which of the two did the will of his father?”They said to him, “The first.” Jesus said to them,“Most certainly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into God’s Kingdom before you.

32For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn’t believe him; but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. When you saw it, you didn’t even repent afterward, that you might believe him.

33“Hear another parable. There was a man who was a master of a household who planted a vineyard, set a hedge about it, dug a wine press in it, built a tower, leased it out to farmers, and went into another country.

34When the season for the fruit came near, he sent his servants to the farmers to receive his fruit.

35The farmers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

36Again, he sent other servants more than the first; and they treated them the same way.

37But afterward he sent to them his son, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

38But the farmers, when they saw the son, said amongst themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and seize his inheritance.’

39So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard, then killed him.

40When therefore the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?”

41They told him, “He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will lease out the vineyard to other farmers who will give him the fruit in its season.”

42Jesus said to them,“Did you never read in the Scriptures,‘The stone which the builders rejectedwas made the head of the corner.This was from the Lord.It is marvellous in our eyes’?

43“Therefore I tell you, God’s Kingdom will be taken away from you and will be given to a nation producing its fruit.

44He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but on whomever it will fall, it will scatter him as dust.”

45When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke about them.

46When they sought to seize him, they feared the multitudes, because they considered him to be a prophet.
