1*Phần ca trưởng. Của tôi tớ ĐỨC CHÚA là vua Đa-vít. Ông nói lên lời bài ca này vào ngày ĐỨC CHÚA đã cứu ông khỏi bàn tay các địch thù và khỏi tay vua Sa-un.*
2Con yêu mến Ngài, lạy CHÚA là sức mạnh của con ;
3là khiên mộc, là Đấng cứu độ quyền năng, là thành trì bảo vệ.
4và tôi được cứu thoát khỏi quân thù.
5thác diệt vong làm tôi kinh hãi,
6bẫy tử thần ập xuống trên tôi.
7lời tôi khấn nguyện vọng đến tai Người.
8chân núi đồi chấn động lung lay, vì Chúa nổi lôi đình.
9và than hồng tung toé.
10Chúa nghiêng trời ngự xuống, chân đạp lớp mây mù,
11ngự trên Kê-ru-bim, trên cánh gió lượn bay :
12lấy mây đen nghịt làm trướng che Người.
13mưa đá lẫn than hồng tuôn đổ.
14CHÚA nổi sấm vang trời, Đấng Tối Cao lớn tiếng.
15phóng chớp ra, làm chúng phải tan tành.
16khi thấy Ngài doạ nạt ngăm đe, và bừng bừng nổi giận.
17vớt tôi lên khỏi nước lũ mênh mông,
18và kẻ thù mạnh thế hơn tôi.
19nhưng CHÚA thương bênh đỡ phù trì,
20vì yêu thương tôi nên Người giải thoát.
21Người ban thưởng cho tôi, vì tay tôi trong sạch.
22không lỗi đạo cùng Thiên Chúa tôi thờ.
23thánh chỉ Người truyền, tôi không hề bỏ.
24Trước mặt Chúa, tôi là kẻ thập toàn, và tránh xa tội lỗi.
25và tay tôi trong sạch, như mắt Người đã thấy.
26xử tuyệt hảo với người tuyệt hảo,
27nhưng dùng mưu mẹo với kẻ gian ngoan.
28bắt kẻ vênh vang phải cúi mặt.
29Ngài soi chiếu vào đời con tăm tối mịt mù.
30con vượt thành vượt luỹ.
31cho những ai ẩn náu bên Người.
32Ai là núi đá độ trì, ngoài Thiên Chúa của ta ?
33và cho đường nẻo tôi đi được thiện toàn.
34Người đặt tôi đứng vững trên đỉnh núi.
35luyện đôi tay rành nghề cung nỏ.
36săn sóc ân cần giúp con lớn mạnh.
37chân con bước không bao giờ lảo đảo.
38chỉ trở về khi chúng bị dẹp tan,
39chúng ngã gục, nằm dưới chân con.
40Ngài cho con đè bẹp đối phương.
41con tiêu diệt những kẻ oán thù con.
42kêu đến Chúa nhưng CHÚA chẳng đáp lời.
43và quét sạch chúng đi như bùn đất ngoài đường.
44Dân xa lạ phải thần phục con,
45Người nước ngoài cầu thân nịnh bợ,
46từ trong đồn luỹ, run rẩy kéo nhau ra.
47Tôn vinh Thiên Chúa là Đấng cứu độ tôi,
48bắt chư dân quy phục quyền tôi.
49cho thắng cả đối phương, cứu khỏi người tàn bạo.
50dâng điệu hát cung đàn ca mừng danh thánh CHÚA.
51là Đa-vít cùng dòng dõi đến muôn đời.
1Unto the end. A psalm for David.
2The heavens shew forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the work of his hands.
3Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night sheweth knowledge.
4There are no speeches nor languages, where their voices are not heard.
5Their sound hath gone forth into all the earth: and their words unto the ends of the world.
6He hath set his tabernacle in the sun: and he, as a bridegroom coming out of his bride chamber, Hath rejoiced as a giant to run the way:
7His going out is from the end of heaven, And his circuit even to the end thereof: and there is no one that can hide himself from his heat.
8The law of the Lord is unspotted, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones.
9The justices of the Lord are right, rejoicing hearts: the commandment of the Lord is lightsome, enlightening the eyes.
10The fear of the Lord is holy, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, justified in themselves.
11More to be desired than gold and many precious stones: and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
12For thy servant keepeth them, and in keeping them there is a great reward.
13Who can understand sins? from my secret ones cleanse me, O Lord:
14And from those of others spare thy servant. If they shall have no dominion over me, then shall I be without spot: and I shall be cleansed from the greatest sin.
15And the words of my mouth shall be such as may please: and the meditation of my heart always in thy sight. O Lord, my helper, and my redeemer.
