Isaiah

1Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.

2For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.

3Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.

4Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.

5And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.

6¶ We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.

7Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kir-hareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.

8For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.

9¶ Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.

10And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.

11Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kir-haresh.

12¶ And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.

13This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.

14But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.

1Hãy gởi chiên con phải dâng cho quan cai trị đất nầy, từ Sê-la sang đồng vắng, đến núi của con gái Si-ôn.

2Các con gái Mô-áp tại bến đò Aït-nôn sẽ giống như chim bay tán loạn, và như một lứa chim con bị quăng ra ngoài ổ.

3Ngươi hãy lập mưu, hãy làm sự công bình, đang lúc giữa trưa hãy phủ bóng ngươi như ban đêm; hãy che giấu kẻ bị đuổi; chớ bươi móc kẻ trốn tránh!

4Hãy cho phép những kẻ bị đuổi của ta trú ngụ nơi ngươi! Hãy làm nơi ẩn náu cho Mô-áp khỏi mặt kẻ tàn hại! Vì kẻ cướp giựt đã mất, sự tàn hại đã hết, kẻ giày đạp đã bị diệt khỏi đất nầy.

5Aáy vậy, ngôi sẽ bởi sự nhân từ mà bền lập; và trong trại Đa-vít sẽ có một Đấng lấy lẽ thật ngồi lên, sẽ đoán xét, sẽ tìm sự ngay thẳng, và vội vàng làm sự công bình.

6Chúng ta có nghe sự kiêu ngạo của Mô-áp, nó kiêu ngạo lắm, cũng nghe nó xấc xược, kiêu căng, giận dữ; sự khoe khoang của nó là vô ích.

7Vậy nên Mô-áp sẽ than khóc vì Mô-áp, ai nấy đều than khóc; các ngươi hãy khóc, hãy thở than vì sự mất bánh trái nho của Kiệt-Ha-rê-sết!

8Vì ruộng nương của Hết-bôn và cây nho của Síp-ma đều mòn mỏi; ngày trước nó giàng ra tới Gia-ê-xe, lan ra tới đồng vắng, chồi tược đâm ra tới bên kia biển, mà bây giờ vua chúa các nước đã bẻ gãy nhánh tốt.

9Vậy nên ta vì cây nho của Síp-ma mà khóc lóc như Gia-ê-xe. Hỡi Hết-bôn, hỡi Ê-lê-a-lê, ta sẽ tưới nước mắt ta trên các ngươi; vì đang lúc trái mùa hạ và mùa gặt thì có tiếng reo của giặc xảy đến.

10Sự vui mừng hớn hở đã cất khỏi ruộng tốt; trong vườn nho chẳng còn hò hát, reo vui, kẻ đạp rượu chẳng còn đạp trong thùng; ta đã làm dứt tiếng reo vui.

11Cho nên lòng ta vì Mô-áp kêu vang như đàn cầm, ruột ta vì Kiệt-Hê-re cũng vậy.

12Vì dầu Mô-áp chịu mệt nhọc đặng đi đến nơi cao, dầu vào trong nơi thánh mình để cầu nguyện, cũng chẳng được nhậm!

13Aáy là lời mà xưa kia Đức Giê-hô-va đã phán về Mô-áp.

14Bây giờ thì Đức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Trong ba năm, kể như năm kẻ ở mướn, sự vinh hiển của Mô-áp với cả đoàn dân đông của nó sẽ bị khinh hèn; và số còn sót lại sẽ ít lắm, không kể ra gì.
