Isaiah

1Behold a king shall reign in justice, and princes shell rule in judgment.

2And a man shall be as when one is hid from the wind, and hideth himself from a storm, as rivers of waters in drought, and the shadow of a rock that standeth out in a desert land.

3The eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken diligently.

4And the heart of fools shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of stammerers shall speak readily and plain.

5The fool shall no more be called prince: neither shall the deceitful be called great:

6For the fool will speak foolish things, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and speak to the Lord deceitfully, and to make empty the soul of the hungry, and take away drink from the thirsty.

7The vessels of the deceitful are most wicked: for he hath framed devices to destroy the meek, with lying words, when the poor man speaketh judgment.

8But the prince will devise such things as are worthy of a prince, and he shall stand above the rulers.

9Rise up, ye rich women, and hear my voice: ye confident daughters, give ear to my speech.

10For after days and a year, you that are confident shall be troubled: for the vintage is at an end, the gathering shall come no more.

11Be astonished, ye rich women, be troubled, ye confident ones: strip yen, and be confounded, gird your loins.

12Mourn for your breasts, for the delightful country, for the fruitful vineyard.

13Upon the land of my people shall thorns and briers come up: how much more upon all the houses of joy, of the city that rejoiced?

14For the house is forsaken, the multitude of the city is left, darkness and obscurity are come upon its dens for ever. A joy of wild asses, the pastures of flocks,

15Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high: and the desert shall be as a charmel, and charmel shall be counted for a forest.

16And judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and justice shall sit in charmel.

17And the work of justice shall be peace, and the service of justice quietness, and security for ever.

18And my people shall sit in the beauty of peace, and in the tabernacles of confidence, and in wealthy rest.

19But hail shall be in the descent of the forest, and the city shall be made very low.

20Blessed are ye that sow upon all waters, sending thither the foot of the ox and the ass.

1Nầy, sẽ có một vua lấy nghĩa trị vì, các quan trưởng lấy lẽ công bình mà cai trị.

2Sẽ có một người như nơi núp gió và chỗ che bão táp, như suối nước trong nơi đất khô, như bóng vầng đá lớn trong xứ mòn mỏi.

3Bấy giờ mắt của kẻ xem sẽ không mờ, tai của kẻ nghe sẽ chăm chỉ.

4Lòng của người hớp tớp sẽ hiểu sự khôn ngoan; lưỡi của người cà lăm sẽ nói dễ và rõ.

5Kẻ dại dột sẽ chẳng được xưng là cao sang, người rít róng chẳng được xưng là rộng rãi.

6Vì kẻ dại dột sẽ nói những lời dại dột, lòng họ xiêu về sự gian dối, đặng phạm các tội ác, đặng nói những sự sai lầm nghịch cùng Đức Giê-hô-va, đặng làm cho kẻ đói trống bụng và kẻ khát hết đồ uống.

7Kẻ rít róng dùng những khí giới gian tà, toan những mưu gian, lấy sự nói dối đặng làm hại người nhu mì, và làm hại kẻ nghèo dầu nói lẽ công chánh.

8Nhưng người cao sang chỉ lập những mưu cao sang, hằng làm sự cao sang.

9Hỡi những đàn bà sung sướng, hãy dậy mà nghe tiếng ta! Hỡi những con gái không hay lo, hãy để tai nghe lời ta!

10Trong một năm và mấy ngày nữa, các ngươi là kẻ không lo lắng, sẽ đều run rẩy, vì mùa nho sẽ mất, và mùa gặt cũng không có nữa.

11Đàn bà sung sướng, hãy run rẩy! con gái không hay lo, hãy bối rối! Hãy cổi áo xống, hãy ở trần, hãy thắt lưng bằng bao gai.

12Chúng nó sẽ đấm ngực vì đồng điền màu mỡ, vì cây nho sai trái.

13Chà chuôm gai gốc sẽ mọc lên trên đất dân ta, cùng trên mọi nhà chơi trong thành vui vẻ.

14Vì cung điện vắng tanh, thành đông đúc hoang loạn; đồi và tháp từ nay sẽ trở nên sào huyệt đến đời đời, cho những lừa rừng choán làm nơi nghỉ, và những bầy vật thả ăn,

15cho đến chừng Thần từ nơi cao được rải xuống khắp trên chúng ta, đồng vắng biến thành ruộng tốt, ruộng tốt được kể như rừng rậm.

16Bấy giờ sự xét đoán sẽ ở nơi đồng vắng, sự công bình sẽ trú nơi ruộng tốt.

17Công bình sẽ sanh ra bình an, trái của sự công bình sẽ là yên lặng và an ổn mãi mãi.

18Dân ta sẽ trú trong chỗ bình an, trong nhà yên ổn và nơi nghỉ lặng lẽ.

19Nhưng mưa đá sẽ đổ xuống trên rừng, và thành sẽ bị hạ cả xuống.

20Phước thay cho các ngươi gieo giống ở bên mọi dòng nước, thả chân bò lừa đi.
