Hosea

1The word of the Lord, that came to Osee the son of Beeri, in the days of Ozias, Joathan, Achaz, and Ezechias kings of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joas king of Israel.

2The beginning of the Lord’s speaking by Osse: and the Lord said to Osee: Go, take thee a wife of fornications, and have of her children of fornications: for the land by fornication shall depart from the Lord.

3So he went, and took Gomer the daughter of Debelaim: and she conceived and bore him a son.

4And the Lord said to him: Call his name Jezrahel: for yet a little while, and I will visit the blood of Jezrahel upon the house of Jehu, and I will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

5And in that day I will break in pieces the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezrahel.

6And she conceived again, and bore a daughter, and he said to him: Call her name, Without mercy: for I will not add any more to have mercy on the house of Israel, but I will utterly forget them.

7And I will have mercy on the house of Juda, and I will save them by the Lord their God: and I will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.

8And she weaned her that was called Without mercy. And she conceived, and bore a son.

9And he said: Call his name, Not my people: for you are not my people, and I will not be yours.

10And the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, that is without measure, and shall not be numbered. And it shall be in the place where it shall be said to them: You are not my people: it shall be said to them: Ye are the sons of the living God.

11And the children of Juda, and the children of Israel shall be gathered together: and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall come up out of the land: for great is the day of Jezrahel.

1Có lời Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Ô-sê, con trai Bê-ê-ri, về đời ô-xia, Giô-tham, A-cha, Ê-xê-chia là các vua của Giu-đa, và về đời Giê-rô-bô-am, con trai Giô-ách, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên.

2Khi Đức Giê-hô-va bắt đầu phán cùng Ô-sê, Đức Giê-hô-va bảo người rằng: Hãy đi, lấy một người vợ gian dâm, và con cái ngoại tình; vì đất nầy chỉ phạm sự tà dâm, lìa bỏ Đức Giê-hô-va.

3Vậy Ô-sê đi cưới Gô-me, con gái của Đíp-la-im. Nàng chịu thai và sanh cho người một trai.

4Bấy giờ Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng người rằng: Hãy đặt tên nó là Gít-rê-ên, vì còn ít lâu nữa, ta sẽ báo thù cho huyết của Gít-rê-ên nơi nhà Giê-hu, và sẽ dứt nước của nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên.

5Trong ngày đó, ta sẽ bẻ cung của Y-sơ-ra-ên trong trũng Gít-rê-ên.

6Nàng lại chịu thai và sanh một gái, thì Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Ô-sê rằng: Hãy đặt tên nó là Lô-Ru-ha-ma; vì ta sẽ không thương xót nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên nữa, và quyết không tha thứ nó nữa.

7Nhưng ta sẽ thương xót nhà Giu-đa; sẽ giải cứu chúng nó bởi Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của chúng nó; và ta sẽ không cứu chúng nó bởi cung, hoặc bởi gươm, hoặc bởi chiến trận, hoặc bởi ngựa, hoặc bởi người cưỡi ngựa.

8Sau khi Lô-Ru-ha-ma thôi bú, nàng chịu thai và sanh một trai.

9Đức Giê-hô-va phán rằng: Hãy đặt tên nó là Lô-Am-mi; vì các ngươi chẳng phải là dân ta nữa, và ta sẽ không làm Đức Chúa Trời các ngươi nữa.

10Dầu vậy, số con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ giống như cát bờ biển, không thể lường, không thể đếm; và chính nơi mà đã bảo chúng nó rằng: Các ngươi chẳng phải là dân ta, sẽ lại bảo rằng: Các ngươi là con trai của Đức Chúa Trời hằng sống.

11Con cái Giu-đa và con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ hiệp nhau lại; sẽ lập cho mình một quan trưởng chung, và sẽ trở lên từ đất nầy, vì ngày của Gít-rê-ên sẽ là ngày lớn.
