Proverbs

1我儿，你要遵守我的言语， 将我的命令存记在心。

2遵守我的命令就得存活； 保守我的法则， 好像保守眼中的瞳人，

3系在你指头上， 刻在你心版上。

4对智慧说：你是我的姊妹， 称呼聪明为你的亲人，

5她就保你远离淫妇， 远离说谄媚话的外女。

淫乱的妇人

6我曾在我房屋的窗户内， 从我窗棂之间往外观看：

7见愚蒙人内，少年人中， 分明有一个无知的少年人，

8从街上经过，走近淫妇的巷口， 直往通她家的路去，

9在黄昏，或晚上， 或半夜，或黑暗之中。

10看哪，有一个妇人来迎接他， 是妓女的打扮，有诡诈的心思。

11这妇人喧嚷，不守约束， 在家里停不住脚，

12有时在街市上，有时在宽阔处， 或在各巷口蹲伏，

13拉住那少年人，与他亲嘴， 脸无羞耻对他说：

14平安祭在我这里， 今日才还了我所许的愿。

15因此，我出来迎接你， 恳切求见你的面，恰巧遇见了你。

16我已经用绣花毯子 和埃及线织的花纹布铺了我的床。

17我又用没药、沉香、桂皮 薰了我的榻。

18你来，我们可以饱享爱情，直到早晨； 我们可以彼此亲爱欢乐。

19因为我丈夫不在家，出门行远路；

20他手拿银囊，必到月望才回家。

21淫妇用许多巧言诱他随从， 用谄媚的嘴逼他同行。

22少年人立刻跟随她，好像牛往宰杀之地； 又像愚昧人带锁链去受刑罚，

23直等箭穿他的肝； 如同雀鸟急入网罗，却不知是自丧己命。

24众子啊，现在要听从我， 留心听我口中的话。

25你的心不可偏向淫妇的道， 不要入她的迷途。

26因为，被她伤害仆倒的不少； 被她杀戮的而且甚多。

27她的家是在阴间之路， 下到死亡之宫。

1My son, keep my words, and lay up my precepts with thee. Son,

2Keep my commandments, and thou shalt live: and my law as the apple of thy eye:

3Bind it upon thy fingers, write it upon the tables of thy heart.

4Say to wisdom: Thou art my sister: and call prudence thy friend,

5That she may keep thee from the woman that is not thine, and from the stranger who sweeteneth her words.

6For I look out of the window of my house through the lattice,

7And I see little ones, I behold a foolish young man,

8Who passeth through the street by the corner, and goeth nigh the way of her house.

9In the dark, when it grows late, in the darkness and obscurity of the night,

10And behold a woman meeteth him in harlot’s attire prepared to deceive souls; talkative and wandering,

11Not bearing to be quiet, not able to abide still at home,

12Now abroad, now in the streets, now lying in wait near the corners.

13And catching the young man, she kisseth him, and with an impudent face, flattereth, saying:

14I vowed victims for prosperity, this day I have paid my vows.

15Therefore I am come out to meet thee, desirous to see thee, and I have found thee.

16I have woven my bed with cords, I have covered it with painted tapestry, brought from Egypt.

17I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18Come, let us be inebriated with the breasts, and let us enjoy the desired embraces, till the day appear.

19For my husband is not at home, he is gone a very long journey.

20He took with him a bag of money: he mill return home the day of the full moon.

21She entangled him with many words, and drew him away with the flattery of her lips.

22Immediately he followeth her as an ox led to be a victim, and as a lamb playing the wanton, and not knowing that he is drawn like a fool to bonds,

23Till the arrow pierce his liver: as if a bird should make haste to the snare, and knoweth not that his life is in danger.

24Now therefore, my son, hear me, and attend to the words of my mouth.

25Let not thy mind be drawn away in her ways: neither be thou deceived with her paths.

26For she hath cast down many wounded, and the strongest have been slain by her.

27Her house is the way to hell, reaching even to the inner chambers of death.
