Revelation

1And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on the mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty and four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads.

2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and the voice which I heard was as the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

3and they sing as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders: and no man could learn the song save the hundred and forty and four thousand, even they that had been purchased out of the earth.

4These are they that were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they that follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were purchased from among men, to be the firstfruits unto God and unto the Lamb.

5And in their mouth was found no lie: they are without blemish.

6And I saw another angel flying in mid heaven, having eternal good tidings to proclaim unto them that dwell on the earth, and unto every nation and tribe and tongue and people;

7and he saith with a great voice, Fear God, and give him glory; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made the heaven and the earth and sea and fountains of waters.

8And another, a second angel, followed, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, that hath made all the nations to drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a great voice, If any man worshippeth the beast and his image, and receiveth a mark on his forehead, or upon his hand,

10he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11and the smoke of their torment goeth up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, they that worship the beast and his image, and whoso receiveth the mark of his name.

12Here is the patience of the saints, they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.

14And I saw, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud I saw one sitting like unto a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

15And another angel came out from the temple, crying with a great voice to him that sat on the cloud, Send forth thy sickle, and reap: for the hour to reap is come; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16And he that sat on the cloud cast his sickle upon the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17And another angel came out from the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18And another angel came out from the altar, he that hath power over fire; and he called with a great voice to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Send forth thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

19And the angel cast his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vintage of the earth, and cast it into the winepress, the great winepress, of the wrath of God.

20And the winepress was trodden without the city, and there came out blood from the winepress, even unto the bridles of the horses, as far as a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

1Tôi thấy : kìa Con Chiên đứng trên núi Xi-on ; cùng với Con Chiên, có một trăm bốn mươi bốn ngàn người, mang danh của Con Chiên và của Cha Con Chiên ghi trên trán.

2Và tôi nghe thấy tiếng từ trời như tiếng nước lũ, như tiếng sấm lớn. Tiếng tôi nghe thấy tựa hồ tiếng những nhạc sĩ vừa gảy đàn vừa hát.

3Họ hát một bài ca mới trước ngai Thiên Chúa, trước bốn Con Vật và các vị Kỳ Mục. Không ai có thể học được bài ca này, ngoài một trăm bốn mươi bốn ngàn người ấy, là những người đã được chuộc về từ mặt đất.

4Những người ấy đã không ra ô uế bởi phụ nữ, vì họ còn tân. Con Chiên đi đâu, họ cũng đi theo đó. Họ đã được chuộc về từ giữa loài người, làm của đầu mùa dâng lên Thiên Chúa và Con Chiên.

5Chẳng ai thấy miệng họ nói dối : không ai chê trách họ được.

6Rồi tôi thấy một thiên thần khác bay trên đỉnh vòm trời, mang một tin mừng vĩnh cửu để loan báo cho các người ở trên mặt đất, cho mọi dân, mọi chi tộc, mọi ngôn ngữ và mọi nước.

7Người lớn tiếng hô : “Hãy kính sợ Thiên Chúa và tôn vinh Người, vì đã đến giờ Người phán xét. Hãy thờ lạy Đấng đã tạo thành trời đất, biển khơi và mọi nguồn nước.”

8Một thiên thần khác, vị thứ hai, theo sau và nói : “Sụp đổ rồi, sụp đổ rồi, thành Ba-by-lon vĩ đại, thành đã từng cho mọi nước uống thứ rượu là sự gian dâm cuồng loạn của nó.”

9Một thiên thần khác, vị thứ ba, theo sau hai vị kia và lớn tiếng nói : “Ai thờ lạy Con Thú và tượng của nó, và chịu thích dấu của nó trên trán hoặc trên tay,

10thì người ấy sẽ phải uống thứ rượu, là cơn lôi đình của Thiên Chúa, rượu nguyên chất rót vào chén thịnh nộ của Người ; người ấy sẽ bị làm khổ trong lửa và diêm sinh trước mặt các thánh thiên thần và trước mặt Con Chiên.

11Khói từ chốn khổ hình của chúng cứ bốc lên đời đời kiếp kiếp. Kẻ nào thờ lạy Con Thú và tượng của nó, và nhận dấu thích tên nó, thì ngày đêm không được nghỉ ngơi.”

12Đây là lúc dân thánh, là những người tuân giữ các điều răn của Thiên Chúa và sống theo niềm tin vào Đức Giê-su, cần phải có lòng kiên nhẫn.

13Và tôi nghe có tiếng từ trời phán rằng : “Ngươi hãy viết : Ngay từ bây giờ, phúc thay những người đã chết, mà được chết trong Chúa !” Thần Khí phán : “Phải, họ sẽ được nghỉ ngơi, không còn vất vả nhọc nhằn nữa, vì các việc họ làm vẫn theo họ.”

14Tôi thấy : kìa một đám mây trắng, và có Đấng ngự trên mây, giống như một Con Người, đầu đội triều thiên vàng và tay cầm liềm sắc bén.

15Một thiên thần khác từ Đền Thờ đi ra, lớn tiếng thưa với Đấng ngự trên mây : “Xin tra liềm của Ngài mà gặt, vì đã đến giờ gặt : mùa màng trên đất đã chín rồi !”

16Đấng ngự trên mây quăng liềm của mình xuống đất và đất bị gặt.

17Rồi một thiên thần khác từ Đền Thờ ở trên trời đi ra, cũng cầm liềm sắc bén.

18Một thiên thần khác từ bàn thờ đi ra, vị này có quyền trên lửa, lớn tiếng nói với vị cầm liềm sắc : “Xin tra liềm sắc bén của ngài mà hái các chùm nho trong vườn nho dưới đất, vì các trái nho của đất đã chín rồi !”

19Thiên thần kia quăng liềm của mình xuống đất mà hái nho trong vườn nho dưới đất, rồi đổ cả vào bồn đạp nho lớn, tức là cơn lôi đình của Thiên Chúa.

20Người ta đạp nho trong bồn đặt ở ngoài thành, máu tự bồn trào ra ngập đến hàm thiếc ngựa và lan đến một ngàn sáu trăm dặm.
