Psalms

For the Chief Musician; set to the Gittith. A Psalm of Asaph.

1Sing aloud unto God our strength: Make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

2Raise a song, and bring hither the timbrel, The pleasant harp with the psaltery.

3Blow the trumpet at the new moon, At the full moon, on our feast-day.

4For it is a statute for Israel, An ordinance of the God of Jacob.

5He appointed it in Joseph for a testimony, When he went out over the land of Egypt, Where I heard a language that I knew not.

6I removed his shoulder from the burden: His hands were freed from the basket.

7Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder; I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. [Selah

8Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wouldest hearken unto me!

9There shall no strange god be in thee; Neither shalt thou worship any foreign god.

10I am Jehovah thy God, Who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11But my people hearkened not to my voice; And Israel would none of me.

12So I let them go after the stubbornness of their heart, That they might walk in their own counsels.

13Oh that my people would hearken unto me, That Israel would walk in my ways!

14I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn my hand against their adversaries.

15The haters of Jehovah should submit themselves unto him: But their time should endure for ever.

16He would feed them also with the finest of the wheat; And with honey out of the rock would I satisfy thee.

2Hãy hát xướng và nổi tiếng trống cơm, Đàn cầm êm dịu với đàn sắt.

3Hãy thổi kèn khi trăng non, Lúc trăng rầm, và nhằm các ngày lễ chúng ta.

4Vì ấy là một luật cho Y-sơ-ra-ên, Một lệ do Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp.

5Ngài lập điều ấy làm chứng cớ nơi Giô-sép, Lúc Ngài ra đánh xứ Ê-díp-tô, Là nơi tôi nghe một thứ tiếng tôi chẳng hiểu.

6Ta đã cất gánh nặng khỏi vai người; Tay người được buông khỏi cái giỏ.

7Trong cơn gian truân ngươi kêu cầu, ta bèn giải cứu ngươi, Đáp lại ngươi từ nơi kín đáo của sấm sét, Và cũng thử thách ngươi nơi nước Mê-ri-ba.

8Hỡi dân sự ta, hãy nghe, ta sẽ làm chứng cho ngươi: ù Y-sơ-ra-ên! chớ chi ngươi khứng nghe ta!

9Giữa ngươi chẳng nên có thần lạ nào, Ngươi cũng chẳng nên thờ lạy thần kẻ ngoại.

10Ta là Giê-hô-va, Đức Chúa Trời ngươi, Đấng đã đem ngươi lên khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô: Hãy hả hoác miệng ngươi ra, thì ta sẽ làm đầy dẫy nó.

11Nhưng dân sự ta không khứng nghe tiếng ta, Y-sơ-ra-ên không muốn vâng theo ta.

12Vì vậy, ta buông chúng nó đi theo sự cứng lòng chúng nó, Để chúng nó đi theo mưu kế riêng chúng nó.

13Oâi! chớ chi dân ta khứng nghe ta! Chớ chi Y-sơ-ra-ên chịu đi trong đường lối ta!

14Thì chẳng bao lâu ta bắt suy phục các thù nghịch chúng nó, Trở tay ta nghịch những cừu địch chúng nó.

15Những kẻ ghen ghét Đức Giê-hô-va ắt sẽ suy phục Ngài; Song dân ta sẽ còn đến đời đời.

16Ta sẽ lấy màu mỡ ngũ cốc mà nuôi họ. Và làm cho ngươi được no nê bằng mật ong nơi hòn đá.
