Hình Phạt Thế Giới

1Kìa! Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ đảo lộn thế giới,và tàn phá mặt đất.Ngài sẽ làm đất hoang vuvà phân tán dân cư khắp nơi.

2Thầy tế lễ và dân chúng,đầy tớ trai và ông chủ,người hầu gái và bà chủ,người mua và người bán, người cho vay và người đi vay, chủ nợ và con nợ—không ai được miễn.

3Khắp đất sẽ hoàn toàn trống không và bị tước đoạt.Chúa Hằng Hữu đã phán vậy!

4Đất phải than van và khô hạn,mùa màng hoang vu và héo tàn. Dù người được trọng nhất trên đất cũng bị hao mòn.

5Đất chịu khổ bởi tội lỗi của loài người,vì họ đã uốn cong điều luật Đức Chúa Trời,vi phạm luật pháp Ngài,và hủy bỏ giao ước đời đời của Ngài.

6Do đó, đất bị nguyền rủa.Loài người phải trả giá cho tội ác mình.Họ sẽ bị tiêu diệt bởi lửa,chỉ còn lại vài người sống sót.

7Các cây nho bị mất mùa,và không còn rượu mới.Mọi người tạo nên sự vui vẻ phải sầu thảm và khóc than.

8Tiếng trống tưng bừng đã im bặt;tiếng reo hò vui tươi tán dương không còn nữa.Những âm điệu du dương của đàn hạc cũng nín lặng.

9Không còn vui hát và rượu chè;rượu nồng trở nên đắng trong miệng.

10Thành đổ nát hoang vắng;mỗi nhà đều cài then không cho ai vào.

11Trong phố người kêu đòi rượu.Niềm vui thú biến ra sầu thảm. Sự hân hoan trên đất bị tước đi.

12Thành chỉ còn lại cảnh điêu tàn;các cổng thành bị đập vỡ tan.

13Cư dân trên đất sẽ cùng số phận—chỉ vài người sót lại như trái ô-liu lác đác trên cây như trái nho còn sót lại sau mùa hái.

14Nhưng những ai sống sót sẽ reo mừng hát ca.Dân phương tây ngợi tôn uy nghiêm của Chúa Hằng Hữu.

15Từ phương đông, họ dâng vinh quang lên Chúa Hằng Hữu.Dân hải đảo tôn vinh Danh Chúa Hằng Hữu, là Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên.

16Chúng tôi nghe bài hát ngợi tôn từ tận cùng mặt đất,bài hát dâng vinh quang lên Đấng Công Chính! Nhưng lòng tôi nặng trĩu vì sầu khổ.Khốn nạn cho tôi, vì tôi đuối sức.Bọn lừa dối vẫn thắng thế,bọn phản trắc vẫn ở khắp nơi.

17Các dân tộc trên đất.Các ngươi vẫn còn bị khủng bố, gài bẫy, và sập vào hố thẳm.

18Ai trốn cảnh khủng khiếp sẽ bị rơi vào hố thẳm,ai thoát hố thẳm sẽ bị mắc bẫy chông. Sự hủy diệt rơi xuống như mưa từ những tầng mây;các nền móng trên đất đều rúng động.

19Trái đất bị vỡ nát.Nó sụp đổ hoàn toàn; bị rúng động dữ dội.

20Đất lảo đảo như người say.Tan tác như túp lều trước cơn bão.Nó ngã quỵ và sẽ không chỗi dậy nữa,vì tội lỗi nó quá nặng nề.

21Trong ngày ấy, Chúa sẽ trừng phạt các thần trên trời caovà những người cai trị kiêu ngạo của mọi nước trên đất.

22Chúng sẽ bị vây bắt và bị xiềng như tù nhân.Chúng sẽ bị giam trong ngục và cuối cùng sẽ bị trừng phạt.

23Lúc ấy, mặt trăng sẽ khuyết,và ánh sáng mặt trời sẽ mất dần, vì Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân sẽ cai trị trên Núi Si-ôn.Ngài cai trị trong vinh quang vĩ đại tại Giê-ru-sa-lem,trước mặt các lãnh đạo của dân Ngài.

1Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.

2It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest.

3The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for the LORD has spoken this word.

4The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.

5The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.

6Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell therein are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burnt, and few men are left.

7The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry-hearted sigh.

8The mirth of tambourines ceases. The sound of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases.

9They will not drink wine with a song. Strong drink will be bitter to those who drink it.

10The confused city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

11There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone.

12The city is left in desolation, and the gate is struck with destruction.

13For it will be so within the earth amongst the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.

14These shall lift up their voice. They will shout for the majesty of the LORD. They cry aloud from the sea.

15Therefore glorify the LORD in the east, even the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea!

16From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs. Glory to the righteous! But I said, “I pine away! I pine away! woe is me!” The treacherous have dealt treacherously. Yes, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.

17Fear, the pit, and the snare are on you who inhabit the earth.

18It will happen that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the middle of the pit will be taken in the snare; for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.

19The earth is utterly broken. The earth is torn apart. The earth is shaken violently.

20The earth will stagger like a drunken man, and will sway back and forth like a hammock. Its disobedience will be heavy on it, and it will fall and not rise again.

21It will happen in that day that the LORD will punish the army of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth on the earth.

22They will be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and will be shut up in the prison; and after many days they will be visited.

23Then the moon will be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for the LORD of Armies will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem; and glory will be before his elders.
