Người Phụ Nữ và Con Rồng

1Tôi chứng kiến một dấu lạ vĩ đại diễn ra trên trời. Tôi thấy một người phụ nữ mặc áo mặt trời, chân đạp mặt trăng, đầu đội vương miện kết bằng mười hai tinh tú.

2Nàng có thai, kêu la, quặn thắt vì sắp đến giờ sinh nở.

3Kế đến, tôi chứng kiến một dấu lạ vĩ đại khác. Tôi thấy một con rồng đỏ thật lớn xuất hiện, nó có bảy đầu, mười sừng, mỗi đầu đội một vương miện.

4Đuôi rồng kéo theo một phần ba tinh tú trên trời quăng xuống đất. Rồng đứng trước mặt người phụ nữ sắp sinh nở, chực nuốt đứa bé khi vừa ra đời.

5Nàng sinh một con trai. Con trai ấy sẽ dùng cây trượng sắt cai trị mọi dân tộc, và sẽ được đưa lên ngai Đức Chúa Trời.

6Còn người đàn bà chạy trốn vào hoang mạc, nơi Đức Chúa Trời đã chuẩn bị cho nàng. Nàng được nuôi dưỡng 1.260 ngày tại đây.

7Sau đó, một cuộc chiến tranh bùng nổ trên trời. Mi-ca-ên và các thiên sứ dưới quyền giao chiến với con rồng và các tướng lãnh của nó.

8Rồng bị đánh bại, không còn được ở trên trời nữa.

9Con rồng lớn—là con rắn ngày xưa, gọi là quỷ vương hay Sa-tan, là kẻ lừa dối cả thế giới—nó cùng các thiên sứ của nó bị quăng xuống đất.

10Tôi nghe có tiếng vang dội từ trời:“Giờ đây, sự cứu rỗi được thể hiện.Đức Chúa Trời đã dùng quyền lực cai trị Vương Quốc Ngài, Chúa Cứu Thế đã nắm giữ uy quyền.Vì kẻ buộc tội anh chị em chúng ta,kẻ ngày đêm tố cáo chúng ta trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, đã bị quăng xuống đất rồi.

11Họ đã thắng nó nhờ máu Chiên Convà nhờ lời chứng của mình. Họ đã hy sinh tính mạng, không luyến tiếc.

12Vậy, các tầng trời, hãy vui mừng!Và những ai sống trên trời, hãy reo vui! Nhưng khốn cho đất và biển!Quỷ vương đã xuống đó, giận dữ vô cùngvì biết thì giờ nó chẳng còn bao lâu.”

13Khi rồng thấy mình bị quăng xuống đất, liền đuổi bắt người phụ nữ đã sinh con trai.

14Nhưng người phụ nữ được ban cho hai cánh chim đại bàng thật lớn để bay đến chỗ đã dự bị cho nàng trong hoang mạc và lánh nạn con rồng. Tại đó nàng được nuôi dưỡng trong ba năm rưỡi.

15Con rồng phun nước ra như dòng sông đuổi theo người phụ nữ để cuốn nàng trôi đi.

16Nhưng đất há miệng nuốt lấy dòng sông mà con rồng đã phun ra từ miệng nó để tiếp cứu nàng.

17Rồng tức giận người phụ nữ, liền bỏ đi giao chiến cùng những con cái khác của nàng, là những người vâng giữ điều răn Đức Chúa Trời và làm chứng về Chúa Giê-xu.

18Rồng đứng rình bên bờ biển.

1And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
