Y-sai Thấy Chúa và Nhận Nhiệm Vụ

1Năm Vua Ô-xia qua đời, tôi thấy Chúa. Ngài ngồi trên ngôi cao vời và áo Ngài đầy khắp Đền Thờ.

2Bên trên Ngài có các sê-ra-phim, mỗi sê-ra-phim có sáu cánh. Hai cánh che mặt, hai cánh phủ chân, và hai cánh để bay.

3Các sê-ra-phim cùng nhau tung hô rằng:“Thánh thay, thánh thay, thánh thay là Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân!Khắp đất tràn đầy vinh quang Ngài!”

4Tiếng tung hô đó làm rung chuyển các cột trụ, ngạch cửa, và Đền Thờ đầy khói.

5Thấy thế, tôi thốt lên: “Khốn khổ cho tôi! Đời tôi hết rồi! Vì tôi là người tội lỗi. Tôi có môi miệng dơ bẩn, và sống giữa một dân tộc môi miệng dơ bẩn. Thế mà tôi dám nhìn Vua là Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân.”

6Lúc ấy, một trong các sê-ra-phim bay đến, tay cầm than lửa hồng vừa dùng kềm gắp ở bàn thờ.

7Sê-ra-phim đặt nó trên môi tôi và nói: “Hãy nhìn! Than này đã chạm môi ngươi. Bây giờ lỗi ngươi đã được xóa,tội ngươi được tharồi.”

8Tôi liền nghe tiếng Chúa hỏi: “Ta sẽ sai ai mang sứ điệp cho dân này? Ai sẽ đi cho chúng ta?” Tôi đáp: “Thưa con đây! Xin Chúa sai con!”

9Chúa phán: “Hãy đi và nói với dân này:‘Lắng nghe cẩn thận, nhưng không hiểu.Nhìn kỹ, nhưng chẳng nhận biết.’

10Hãy làm cho lòng dân này chai lì.Tai chúng nặng và mắt chúng nhắm lại.Và như thế, mắt chúng sẽ không thấy,tai chúng sẽ không nghe,lòng chúng cũng không hiểu được,và không quay về với Ta để được chữa lành.”

11Tôi hỏi: “Thưa Chúa, cho đến bao giờ?”Chúa đáp:“Cho đến khi thành trống không,nhà của chúng bị hoang phế, và đất đai bị hoang vu;

12cho đến khi Chúa Hằng Hữu đuổi mọi người đi,và đất nước Ít-ra-ên bị điêu tàn.

13Dù nếu một phần mười dân còn sót trên đất,dân ấy cũng sẽ bị thiêu đốt.Nhưng như cây thông hay cây sồi bị đốn xuống mà còn chừa gốc,thì gốc Ít-ra-ên sẽ là giống thánh.”

1In the year that king Ozias died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne high and elevated: and his train filled the temple.

2Upon it stood the seraphims: the one had six wings, and the other had six wings: with two they covered his face, and with two they covered his feet, and with two they hew.

3And they cried one to another, and said: Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God of hosts, all the earth is full of his glory.

4And the lintels of the doors were moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

5And I said: Woe is me, because I have held my peace; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people that hath unclean lips, and I have seen with my eyes the King the Lord of hosts.

6And one of the seraphims flew to me, and in his hand was a live coal, which he had taken with the tongs off the altar.

7And he touched my mouth, and said: Behold this hath touched thy lips, and thy iniquities shall be taken away, and thy sin shall be cleansed.

8And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send? and who shall go for us? And I said: Lo, here am I, send me.

9And he said: Go, and thou shalt say to this people: Hearing, hear, and understand not: and see the vision, and know it not.

10Blind the heart of this people, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes: lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted and I heal them.

11And I said: How long, O Lord? And he said: Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land shall be left desolate.

12And the Lord shall remove men far away, and she shall be multiplied that was left in the midst of the earth.

13And there shall be still a tithing therein, and she shall turn, and shall be made a show as a turpentine tree, and as an oak that spreadeth its branches: that which shall stand therein, shall be a holy seed.
