Nước Lụt Phủ Mặt Đất

1Chúa Hằng Hữu phán cùng Nô-ê: “Con và cả gia đình hãy vào tàu, vì trong đời này, Ta thấy con là người công chính duy nhất trước mặt Ta.

2Con cũng đem theo các thú vật tinh sạch, mỗi loài bảy cặp, đực và cái; các thú vật không tinh sạch, mỗi loài một cặp, đực và cái;

3các loài chim trời, mỗi loài bảy cặp, trống và mái, để giữ dòng giống trên mặt đất.

4Bảy ngày nữa, Ta sẽ cho mưa trút xuống mặt đất suốt bốn mươi ngày và bốn mươi đêm. Ta sẽ xóa sạch khỏi mặt đất mọi sinh vật Ta đã sáng tạo.”

5Nô-ê làm theo mọi điều Chúa Hằng Hữu chỉ dạy.

6Nô-ê được 600 tuổi khi nước lụt dâng lên.

7Ông vào tàu tránh nước lụt cùng vợ, các con trai, và các con dâu.

8Các thú vật tinh sạch và không tinh sạch, các loài chim, và loài bò sát, từng cặp, đực và cái, trống và mái.

9Chúng đều theo Nô-ê vào tàu, như lời Đức Chúa Trời chỉ dạy.

10Bảy ngày sau, nước lụt dâng lên phủ mặt đất.

11Vào năm Nô-ê được 600 tuổi, ngày thứ mười bảy tháng Hai, mưa từ trời trút xuống như thác lũ, các mạch nước dưới đất đều vỡ tung.

12Mưa liên tiếp bốn mươi ngày và bốn mươi đêm.

13Ngày ấy, Nô-ê, vợ, ba con trai—Sem, Cham, Gia-phết—và ba con dâu vào tàu.

14Cùng vào tàu với họ có các loài thú rừng, loài gia súc, loài bò sát, và loài chim trời.

15Từng đôi từng cặp đều theo Nô-ê vào tàu, đại diện mỗi loài vật sống có hơi thở.

16Tất cả các giống đực và cái, trống và mái, như lời Đức Chúa Trời đã phán dạy Nô-ê. Sau đó, Chúa Hằng Hữu đóng cửa tàu lại.

17Suốt bốn mươi ngày, nước lụt ào ạt lan tràn, bao phủ khắp nơi và nâng chiếc tàu khỏi mặt đất.

18Nước dâng lên cao; chiếc tàu nổi trên mặt nước.

19Nước tiếp tục dâng cao hơn nữa; mọi đỉnh núi cao dưới trời đều bị ngập.

20Nước phủ các ngọn núi cao nhất; núi chìm sâu trong nước trên 6,9 mét.

21Tất cả các loài sống trên đất đều chết—loài chim trời, loài gia súc, loài thú rừng, loại bò lúc nhúc, và loài người.

22Mọi loài có hơi thở, sống trên mặt đất đều chết hết.

23Mọi sinh vật trên mặt đất đều bị hủy diệt, từ loài người cho đến loài thú, loài bò sát, và loài chim trời. Tất cả đều bị quét sạch khỏi mặt đất, chỉ còn Nô-ê và gia đình cùng mọi loài ở với ông trong tàu được sống sót.

24Nước ngập mặt đất suốt 150 ngày.

1And Jehovah saith to Noah, 'Come in, thou and all thy house, unto the ark, for thee I have seen righteous before Me in this generation;

2of all the clean beasts thou dost take to thee seven pairs, a male and its female; and of the beasts which are not clean two, a male and its female;

3also, of fowl of the heavens seven pairs, a male and a female, to keep alive seed on the face of all the earth;

4for after other seven days I am sending rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and have wiped away all the substance that I have made from off the face of the ground.'

5And Noah doth according to all that Jehovah hath commanded him:

6and Noah [is] a son of six hundred years, and the deluge of waters hath been upon the earth.

7And Noah goeth in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, unto the ark, from the presence of the waters of the deluge;

8of the clean beasts and of the beasts that [are] not clean, and of the fowl, and of every thing that is creeping upon the ground,

9two by two they have come in unto Noah, unto the ark, a male and a female, as God hath commanded Noah.

10And it cometh to pass, after the seventh of the days, that waters of the deluge have been on the earth.

11In the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, in this day have been broken up all fountains of the great deep, and the net-work of the heavens hath been opened,

12and the shower is on the earth forty days and forty nights.

13In this self-same day went in Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, sons of Noah, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, unto the ark;

14they, and every living creature after its kind, and every beast after its kind, and every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth after its kind, and every fowl after its kind, every bird — every wing.

15And they come in unto Noah, unto the ark, two by two of all the flesh in which [is] a living spirit;

16and they that are coming in, male and female of all flesh, have come in as God hath commanded him, and Jehovah doth close [it] for him.

17And the deluge is forty days on the earth, and the waters multiply, and lift up the ark, and it is raised up from off the earth;

18and the waters are mighty, and multiply exceedingly upon the earth; and the ark goeth on the face of the waters.

19And the waters have been very very mighty on the earth, and covered are all the high mountains which [are] under the whole heavens;

20fifteen cubits upwards have the waters become mighty, and the mountains are covered;

21and expire doth all flesh that is moving on the earth, among fowl, and among cattle, and among beasts, and among all the teeming things which are teeming on the earth, and all mankind;

22all in whose nostrils [is] breath of a living spirit — of all that [is] in the dry land — have died.

23And wiped away is all the substance that is on the face of the ground, from man unto beast, unto creeping thing, and unto fowl of the heavens; yea, they are wiped away from the earth, and only Noah is left, and those who [are] with him in the ark;

24and the waters are mighty on the earth a hundred and fifty days.
