Revelation

1And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and it was said to me: Arise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar and them that adore therein.

2But the court, which is without the temple, cast out, and measure it not: because it is given unto the Gentiles, and the holy city they shall tread under foot two and forty months:

3And I will give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.

4These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks, that stand before the Lord of the earth.

5And if any man will hurt them, fire shall come out of their mouths, and shall devour their enemies. And if any man will hurt them, in this manner must he be slain.

6These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and they have power over waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues as often as they will.

7And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast, that ascendeth out of the abyss, shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8And their bodies shall lie in the streets of the great city, which is called spiritually, Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord also was crucified.

9And they of the tribes, and peoples, and tongues, and nations, shall see their bodies for three days and a half: and they shall not suffer their bodies to be laid in sepulchres.

10And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry: and shall send gifts one to another, because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt upon the earth.

11And after three days and a half, the spirit of life from God entered into them. And they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon them that saw them.

12And they heard a great voice from heaven, saying to them: Come up hither. And they went up to heaven in a cloud: and their enemies saw them.

13And at that hour there was made a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell: and there were slain in the earthquake names of men seven thousand: and the rest were cast into a fear, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14The second woe is past: and behold the third woe will come quickly.

15And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet: and there were great voices in heaven, saying: The kingdom of this world is become our Lord’s and his Christ’s, and he shall reign for ever and ever. Amen.

16And the four and twenty ancients, who sit on their seats in the sight of God, fell on their faces and adored God, saying:

17We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, who art, and who wast, and who art to come: because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and thou hast reigned.

18And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest render reward to thy servants the prophets and the saints, and to them that fear thy name, little and great, and shouldest destroy them who have corrupted the earth.

19And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple, and there were lightnings, and voices, and an earthquake, and great hail.

1Bấy giờ có người ban cho tôi một cây lau giống như cây gậy, và biểu tôi rằng: Hãy đứng dậy đo đền thờ Đức Chúa Trời, bàn thờ, và những kẻ thờ lạy tại đó.

2Còn sân ngoài đền thờ thì hãy để nó ra ngoài, đừng đo làm chi; vì chỗ đó đã phó cho dân ngoại, họ sẽ giày đạp thành thánh đủ bốn mươi hai tháng.

3Ta sẽ cho hai người làm chứng ta mặc áo bao gai đi nói tiên tri trong một ngàn hai trăm sáu mươi ngày.

4Hai người làm chứng ấy tức là hai cây ô-li-ve và hai chân đèn đứng trước mặt Chúa của thế gian.

5Nếu ai muốn làm hại hai người đó, thì có lửa ra từ miệng hai người thiêu nuốt kẻ thù nghịch mình: kẻ nào muốn làm hại hai người thì phải bị giết như vậy.

6Hai người có quyền đóng trời lại, để cho trời không mưa trong những ngày mình nói tiên tri; hai người lại có quyền biến nước thành huyết và khiến các thứ tai nạn làm hại trên đất, lúc nào muốn làm cũng được cả.

7Khi hai người đã làm chứng xong rồi, có con thú dưới vực sâu lên, sẽ chiến đấu cùng hai người; thú ấy sẽ thắng và giết đi.

8Thây hai người sẽ còn lại trên đường cái của thành lớn, gọi bóng là Sô-đôm và Ê-díp-tô, tức là nơi mà Chúa hai người cũng đã bị đóng đi trên thập tự giá.

9Người ta ở các dân tộc, các chi phái, các tiếng, các nước sẽ trông thấy thây hai người trong ba ngày rưỡi, và chúng sẽ không cho chôn những thây ấy trong mồ.

10Các dân sự trên đất sẽ vui mừng hớn hở về hai người, và gởi lễ vật cho nhàu, bởi hai tiên tri đó đã khuấy hại dân sự trên đất.

11Nhưng, sau ba ngày rưỡi ấy, có sanh khí từ Đức Chúa Trời đến nhập vào trong hai người: hai người bèn đứng thẳng dậy, và những kẻ đứng xem đều kinh hãi cả thể.

12Hai người nghe một tiếng lớn ở từ trên trời đến phán cùng mình rằng: Hãy lên đây! Hai người bèn lên trời trong đám mây và những kẻ thù nghịch đều trông thấy.

13Đồng một giờ đó, có cơn động đất lớn; một phần mười của thành đổ xuống, bảy ngàn người chết trong cơn động đất ấy, còn những kẻ khác thất kinh và ngợi khen Đức Chúa Trời trên trời.

14“Nạn” thứ nhì qua rồi; nầy “Nạn” thứ ba đến mau chóng.

15Vị thiên sứ thứ bảy thổi loa, có những tiếng lớn vang ra trên trời rằng: Từ nay nước của thế gian thuộc về Chúa chúng ta và Đấng Christ của Ngài, Ngài sẽ trị vì đời đời.

16Hai mươi bốn trưởng lão đang ngồi ở trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, trên ngai mình, đều cúi mình sấp mặt xuống, thờ lạy Đức Chúa Trời,

17mà rằng: Hỡi Chúa là Đức Chúa Trời Toàn năng, là Đấng Hiện Có, Trước Đã Có, chúng tôi cảm tạ Ngài, vì Ngài đã cầm quyền rất cao trong tay và đã trị vì.

18Các dân tộc vốn giận dữ, nhưng cơn thạnh nộ của Ngài đã đến: giờ đã tới, là giờ phán xét kẻ chết, thưởng cho tôi tớ Chúa là các đấng tiên tri, thưởng cho các thánh và các người kính sợ danh Chúa, thưởng cho kẻ nhỏ cùng kẻ lớn, và hủy phá những kẻ đã hủy phá thế gian.

19Đền thờ Đức Chúa Trời bèn mở ra ở trên trời, hòm giao ước bày ra trong đền thờ Ngài, rồi có chớp nhoáng, tiếng, sấm sét, động đất và mưa đá lớn.
