Ezekiel

1And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

2Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother.

3And they committed fornication in Egypt, in their youth they committed fornication: there were their breasts pressed down, and the teats of their virginity were bruised.

4And their names were Oolla the elder, and Ooliba her younger sister: and I took them, and they bore sons and daughters. Now for their names, Samaria is Oolla, and Jerusalem is Ooliba.

5And Oolla committed fornication against me, and doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians that came to her,

6Who were clothed with blue, princes, and rulers, beautiful youths, all horsemen, mounted upon horses.

7And she committed her fornications with those chosen men, all sons of the Assyrians: and she defiled herself with the uncleanness of all them on whom she doted.

8Moreover also she did not forsake her fornications which she had committed in Egypt: for they also lay with her in her youth, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity, and poured out their fornication upon her.

9Therefore have I delivered her into the hands of her lovers, into the hands of the sons of the Assyrians, upon whose lust she doted.

10They discovered her disgrace, took away her sons and daughters, and slew her with the sword: and they became infamous women, and they executed judgments in her.

11And when her sister Ooliba saw this, she was mad with lust more than she: and she carried her fornication beyond the fornication of her sister.

12Impudently prostituting herself to the children of the Assyrians, the princes, and rulers that came to her, clothed with divers colours, to the horsemen that rode upon horses, and to young men all of great beauty.

13And I saw that she was defiled, and that they both took one way.

14And she increased her fornications: and when she had seen men painted on the wall, the images of the Chaldeans set forth in colours,

15And girded with girdles about their reins, and with dyed turbans on their heads, the resemblance of all the captains, the likeness of the sons of Babylon, and of the land of the Chaldeans wherein they were born,

16She doted upon them with the lust of her eyes, and she sent messengers to them into Chaldea.

17And when the sons of Babylon were come to her to the bed of love, they defiled her with their fornications, and she was polluted by them, and her soul was glutted with them.

18And she discovered her fornications, and discovered her disgrace: and my soul was alienated from her, as my soul was alienated from her sister.

19For she multiplied her fornications, remembering the days of her youth, in which she played the harlot in the land of Egypt.

20And she was mad with lust after lying with them whose flesh is as the flesh of asses: and whose issue as the issue of horses.

21And thou hast renewed the wickedness of thy youth, when thy breasts were pressed in Egypt, and the papa of thy virginity broken.

22Therefore, Ooliba, thus saith the Lord God: Behold I will raise up against thee all thy lovers with whom thy soul hath been glutted: and I will gather them together against thee round about.

23The children of Babylon, and all the Chaldeans, the nobles, and the kings, and princes, all the sons of the Assyrians, beautiful young men, all the captains, and rulers, the princes of princes, and the renowned horsemen.

24And they shall come upon thee well appointed with chariot and wheel, a multitude of people: they shall be armed against thee on every side with breastplate, and buckler, and helmet: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge thee by their judgments.

25And I will set my jealousy against thee, which they shall execute upon thee with fury: they shall cut off thy nose and thy ears: and what remains shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons, and thy daughters, and thy residue shall be devoured by fire.

26And they shall strip thee of thy garments, and take away the instruments of thy glory.

27And I will put an end to thy wickedness in thee, and thy fornication brought out of the land of Egypt: neither shalt thou lift up thy eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.

28For thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will deliver thee into the hands of them whom thou hatest, into their hands with whom thy soul hath been glutted.

29And they shall deal with thee in hatred, and they shall take away all thy labours, and shall let thee go naked, and full of disgrace, and the disgrace of thy fornication shall be discovered, thy wickedness, and thy fornications.

30They have done these things to thee, because thou hast played the harlot with the nations among which thou wast defiled with their idols.

31Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister, and I will give her cup into thy hand.

32Thus saith the Lord God: Thou shalt drink thy sister’s cup, deep, and wide: thou shalt be had in derision and scorn, which containeth very much.

33Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness, and sorrow: with the cup of grief, and sadness, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.

34And thou shalt drink it, and shalt drink it up even to the dregs, and thou shalt devour the fragments thereof, thou shalt rend thy breasts: because I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.

35Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Because thou hast forgotten me, and hast cast me off behind thy back, bear thou also thy wickedness, and thy fornications.

36And the Lord spoke to me, saying: Son of man, dost thou judge Oolla, and Ooliba, and dost thou declare to them their wicked deeds?

37Because they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and they have committed fornication with their idols: moreover also their children, whom they bore to me, they have offered to them to be devoured.

38Yea, and they have done this to me. They polluted my sanctuary on the same day, and profaned my sabbaths.

39And when they sacrificed their children to their idols, and went into my sanctuary the same day to profane it: they did these things even in the midst of my house.

40They sent for men coming from afar, to whom they had sent a messenger: and behold they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, and didst paint thy eyes, and wast adorned with women’s ornaments.

41Thou sattest on a very fine bed, and a table was decked before thee: whereupon thou didst set my incense, and my ointment.

42And there was in her the voice of a multitude rejoicing: and to some that were brought of the multitude of men, and that came from the desert, they put bracelets on their hands, and beautiful crowns on their heads.

43And I said to her that was worn out in her adulteries: Now will this woman still continue in her fornication.

44And they went in to her, as to a harlot: so went they in unto Oolla, and Ooliba, wicked women.

45They therefore are just men: these shall judge them as adulteresses are judged, and as shedders of blood are judged: because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.

46For thus saith the Lord God: Bring a multitude upon them, and deliver them over to tumult and rapine:

47And lee the people stone them with stones, and let them be stabbed with their swords: they shall kill their sons and daughters, and their houses they shall burn with fire.

48And I will take away wickedness out of the land: and all women shall learn, not to do according to the wickedness of them.

49And they shall render your wickedness upon you, and you shall bear the sins of your idols: and you shall know that I am the Lord God.

1Có lời ĐỨC CHÚA phán với tôi rằng :

2Hỡi con người, xưa có hai người đàn bà là con cùng một mẹ.

3Chúng đã đàng điếm ở Ai-cập ; ngay từ thời thơ ấu, chúng đã đàng điếm. Ở đó, chúng đã bị bóp vú, bị nắn ngực còn trinh.

4Tên của chúng : chị là O-ho-la, em là O-ho-li-va. Chúng đã thuộc về Ta và sinh được một bầy con trai con gái. Đây là tên của chúng : O-ho-la là Sa-ma-ri và O-ho-li-va là Giê-ru-sa-lem.

5O-ho-la đã làm điếm thay vì ở với Ta. Nó si mê các tình nhân của nó : với Át-sua là những binh sĩ

6mặc áo đỏ tía, với các quan thái thú và khâm sai trẻ trung hấp dẫn, với những kỵ binh cỡi ngựa.

7Nó đã bằng lòng đàng điếm với chúng. Tất cả bọn chúng đều là anh tài của con cái Át-sua. Nó đã ra ô uế vì tất cả những kẻ đã cùng nó thông dâm, vì các ngẫu tượng của chúng.

8Nhưng nó không bỏ được thói đàng điếm của mình từ Ai-cập, bởi vì chúng đã tư thông với nó ngay từ thời thơ ấu của nó ; chúng đã nắn ngực còn trinh của nó và đã đổ tính dâm dục của chúng lên người nó.

9Vì thế Ta đã trao nó vào tay các tình nhân của nó, vào tay con cái Át-sua, những kẻ nó đã si mê.

10Chúng đã lột nó trần truồng, bắt các con trai con gái của nó. Chúng đã dùng gươm giết chết nó. Nó đã thành người nổi danh trong giới phụ nữ và người ta đã thi hành án phạt nó.

11O-ho-li-va, em nó, thấy thế, nhưng còn hư hỏng, phóng đãng hơn nó, và còn đàng điếm tội lỗi hơn chị nó.

12Nó si mê con cái Át-sua, các quan thái thú, các tổng trấn, các binh sĩ mặc nhung phục đắt tiền, những kỵ binh cỡi ngựa ; tất cả đều trẻ trung hấp dẫn.

13Và Ta thấy nó đã ra ô uế. Cả hai chị em đều cùng một lối sống như nhau.

14Nó còn thêm vào chuyện đàng điếm của mình : nó nhìn những hình đàn ông khắc trên tường, ảnh quân Can-đê vẽ bằng sơn đỏ,

15đai thắt ngang lưng, khăn quấn lên đầu buông thõng xuống ; tất cả trông như những kỵ sĩ có dáng dấp con cái Ba-by-lon, nguyên quán tại Can-đê.

16Vừa nhìn thấy thế, nó đã si mê nên sai sứ giả đến gặp chúng tại Can-đê.

17Bấy giờ, con cái Ba-by-lon đến tình tự với nó ; chúng đã làm cho nó ra ô uế vì thói đàng điếm của chúng. Nhưng khi nó đã ra ô uế vì chúng rồi, nó không còn quyến luyến chúng nữa.

18Nó ngang nhiên để lộ thói đàng điếm và phơi bày sự trần truồng của nó ra ; bấy giờ Ta không lưu luyến nó như đã thôi lưu luyến chị nó.

19Nhưng nó đã gia tăng các việc đàng điếm của nó để nhớ lại thời thơ ấu nó đã đàng điếm bên đất Ai-cập.

20Nó đã si mê hạng trác táng. Mình chúng như mình lừa, chúng cuồng loạn như giống ngựa.

21Ngươi tìm kiếm tội ác tày trời thời thơ ấu khi người Ai-cập bóp vú, nắn ngực còn con gái của ngươi.

22Vì thế, hỡi O-ho-li-va, ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán như sau : Này Ta xúi các tình nhân của ngươi chống lại ngươi ; chúng không còn lưu luyến ngươi nữa ; Ta sẽ dẫn chúng tới đánh ngươi từ khắp tứ phía.

23Con cái Ba-by-lon và tất cả người Can-đê, Pơ-cốt, Sô-a, Cô-a, tất cả con cái Át-sua cùng với chúng, tất cả những thanh niên trẻ trung hấp dẫn, các quan thái thú, các khâm sai, tất cả các sĩ quan và binh lính, tất cả đều là kỵ binh cỡi ngựa.

24Chúng sẽ từ phương bắc đến đánh ngươi đem theo chiến mã, chiến xa cùng với các dân liên minh với nhau ; chúng cho đặt thuẫn, khiên, mũ chiến chung quanh ngươi để đánh ngươi ; Ta sẽ trao quyền xét xử cho chúng và chúng sẽ xét xử ngươi tuỳ theo phán quyết của chúng.

25Ta sẽ nổi ghen đánh phạt ngươi ; chúng sẽ nổi giận trừng phạt ngươi. Chúng xẻo mũi, cắt tai ngươi ; con cháu ngươi sẽ phải ngã gục vì gươm. Chúng sẽ bắt con trai con gái ngươi ; con cháu ngươi sẽ bị lửa nuốt chửng.

26Chúng sẽ lột quần áo và đoạt các đồ trang sức của ngươi.

27Ta sẽ cho chấm dứt tội ác tày trời và thói đàng điếm của ngươi từ đất Ai-cập ; ngươi sẽ không ngước mắt nhìn lên chúng và sẽ không còn nhớ đến quân Ai-cập nữa.

28Quả thật, ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán như sau : Này Ta trao nộp ngươi vào tay những kẻ ngươi ghét, vào tay những kẻ ngươi không còn lưu luyến.

29Chúng sẽ hành hạ ngươi vì thù ghét ; chúng sẽ chiếm lấy tất cả lợi tức của ngươi. Chúng sẽ bỏ ngươi trần truồng không mảnh vải che thân, phơi bày sự trần truồng và thói đàng điếm của ngươi ra. Chính tội ác tày trời, thói đàng điếm của ngươi

30đã gây nên cho ngươi các điều ấy, bởi ngươi đàng điếm chạy theo các dân tộc, nên ngươi đã ra ô uế vì các ngẫu tượng của chúng.

31Ngươi đi theo đường lối của chị ngươi. Ta cũng sẽ trao chén của nó vào tay ngươi.

32vì chén ấy chứa được quá nhiều.

33chén của Sa-ma-ri, chị ngươi.

34Quả thật, chính Ta đã phán – sấm ngôn của ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng.

35Vì thế, ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán thế này : Vì ngươi đã lãng quên và vứt bỏ Ta ra đằng sau lưng, nên đến lượt ngươi, hãy mang lấy ô nhục và tính đàng điếm của ngươi.

36ĐỨC CHÚA phán với tôi : Hỡi con người, ngươi có muốn xét xử O-ho-la và O-ho-li-va không ? Hãy nói cho chúng biết những điều ghê tởm của chúng.

37Quả thật, chúng đã ngoại tình, tay chúng vấy đầy máu. Chúng đã ngoại tình với các ngẫu tượng của chúng ; và ngay cả con cái chúng đã sinh ra cho Ta, chúng cũng thiêu làm mồi cho các ngẫu tượng đó.

38Chúng còn xử với Ta như thế này nữa là làm ô uế thánh điện của Ta trong ngày đó và vi phạm các ngày sa-bát của Ta.

39Khi đã tàn sát con cái mình để kính các ngẫu tượng của chúng, chúng còn dám vào thánh điện của Ta trong ngày đó, khiến cho thánh điện của Ta bị xúc phạm. Chúng đã làm như thế đó ở giữa Nhà của Ta.

40Hơn nữa, chúng đã cử người đi tìm những kẻ từ xa ; một sứ giả đã được sai đến với những kẻ đó. Này chúng đến. Vì chúng mà ngươi tắm rửa, vẽ mắt và đeo các đồ trang sức.

41Rồi ngươi ngồi trên một cái giường lộng lẫy, phía trước có kê sẵn một cái bàn, trên đó ngươi bày ra hương và dầu của Ta.

42Người ta nghe thấy tiếng một đám đông ồn ào vô tư lự. Thêm vào đó, còn có nhiều người từ khắp nơi trong sa mạc đến vây quanh ; chúng đeo kiềng vào tay, đội triều thiên rực rỡ lên đầu các phụ nữ.

43Bấy giờ tôi nói về người phụ nữ đã rạc đi vì ngoại tình : bây giờ chính nó vẫn còn miệt mài trong các cuộc truy hoan.

44Người ta đến với nó như đến với một con điếm. Chúng đã đến với O-ho-la và O-ho-li-va là những thứ đàn bà hư hỏng.

45Nhưng những người công chính sẽ xét xử chúng theo phán quyết về những kẻ ngoại tình và những kẻ gây đổ máu, vì chúng ngoại tình và tay chúng vấy đầy máu.

46Quả thật, ĐỨC CHÚA là Chúa Thượng phán thế này : Hãy triệu tập đại hội để trừng phạt chúng ; hãy để mặc cho chúng phải kinh hãi và bị cướp bóc.

47Đại hội sẽ ném đá trị tội chúng và dùng gươm vằm nát chúng. Người ta sẽ tàn sát con trai con gái chúng và phóng hoả đốt nhà chúng.

48Ta sẽ chấm dứt cảnh ô nhục trong xứ. Tất cả phụ nữ sẽ được sửa dạy và không còn hành động theo vết ô nhục của các ngươi nữa.

49Người ta sẽ giáng trả trên các ngươi sự ô nhục của các ngươi ; các ngươi sẽ phải gánh lấy các tội thờ ngẫu tượng của mình. Bấy giờ các ngươi sẽ nhận biết chính Ta là ĐỨC CHÚA, là Chúa Thượng.
